Right on the window seat idea. Squall provided a knowing nod when Selphie started off on her way and announced she did indeed want the window. He narrowed himself to fit through the rows, a bag in front and a bag behind him, before they reached the point where Selphie finally stopped. Dawdling at the end to put their bags in place, Squall scooted off to the side a bit to let Zell settle in, gladly deferring to let the martial artist be in the middle as opposed to him. Even if they both weren't directing their chatter to him the whole trip, they'd be talking around him to each other if he ended up in the middle. Honestly, Squall hoped to get some sleep on this trip, even if he didn't plan on it considering his company. Three or four hours would be nice, though. As he settled into his seat, though, and Selphie's hyper got the best of her, he started to wonder if he was being remotely realistic to have any hope for any sort of rest. Well...he could count on Zell's stomach and Selphie's window seat to keep the other two partially entertained. Squall draped his sheathed gunblade across his lap, taking a narrow glance to a Balamb citizen whose eyes were glued to his strangely-shaped piece of luggage, and took in a breath. Something out there would need to reward him someday for risking his sanity like this...
No, really, he thought he'd have a pleasurable time. These were friends. They'd be good company, if nothing else.
----------------------------------------------------
Squall had nearly achieved his sleep goal by the time his consciousness roused, having finally managed to get his SeeD instincts out of his head - which told him to stay awake at all times when other people were around - and sleep until the sun had started peeking in the window where Selphie was sitting. The shuttle was still in flight, he noticed, as he rolled his head forward and let his eyes open, and a glance to the row adjacent to where he and the other two SeeDs were seated told him not everyone on the ship was awake just yet. He carefully reached for his cell phone, in case Zell was still asleep, and pulled it from his pocket to check the time. Quarter past six. About the time he usually woke up anyway. Straining some of the sleep from his muscles subtly, Squall straightened in his seat and made a long stare towards the front of the shuttle, trying to judge where they were.
He'd woken up nearly on time for the end of the trip, anyway. Squall could see Trabia Garden up ahead of them, carving its way out across the edge of the sky as the ship leveled its way towards it. It looked better than the last time Squall had seen it in some news reports. They were getting to the point where it looked like a Garden again and not just a construction site. Selphie would be thrilled to see it getting back on its feet again. Squall didn't know the man running Trabia particularly well. He'd come onto the scene something like a messiah after the disaster, and as far as Squall could tell people only knew as much about him as they needed to in relation to the quick work he was doing to putting the Garden back together. Squall supposed he didn't have any more reason than anyone else to be curious about the man's priorities. With them on their visit, Squall would get a chance to meet the other headmaster, anyway. He could do any judging he needed to during that meeting and was pretty sure there'd be nothing to concern him anyway. Overthinking things was something he still needed to learn to avoid.
The ship started to descend after another couple of minutes, cuing Squall to start getting ready to disembark. "We're here...don't need to keep them waiting."

Selphie found herself giggling when Zell settled in and instantly started asking about food. Oh that silly man! He was always thinking about that stomach of his, almost like it was a person that he had to baby along. As amusing as she found it, she wasn’t sure if she should encourage the behavior. Still, this was Zell, her partner in hyper time, so…yeah, she basically would look out for his stomach, even if that meant constantly finding him food to eat. “HMMMMMMM,” she loudly sounded out, placing a fist under her chin and glancing over at him. “They probably serve it all the time. And if not, then I’m sure they’d be happy to serve food for SeeD members!”, she pointed out enthusiastically, before sending him a huge grin. “Of course, if they didn’t want to open it for us, we could feed them to the dino’s in the training center!” After her good little giggle, she poked him in the side. “I’m kidding of course~!”
But was she really?
Obliviously looking out the window, Selphie chattered on while the train started to roll away. Along the way she just had to sing the Train song, and actually got a few people to join in once they saw the cute little girl doing it. Selphie couldn’t have been more pleased with them doing so, and found herself squealing softly in delight while they did so. Oh boy did the time pass quickly when you were having so much fun!
--------------------------------------------
And pass the time did.
All too soon it was over, though she didn’t know it. Selphie had eventually fallen asleep in exhaustion, and was now slumped over Zell’s arm, breathing softly while the shuttle continued on, a smile still on her lips. Squall’s voice was what eventually woke her from her slumber, and groggily she straightened in her seat, yawned and stretched – elbowing Zell in the face on accident while she did so – before she rubbed at her eyes sleepily. “Who’s waiting for us Squally?”, she meekly asked, still not quite awake, before she realized. “OH! WE’RE HERE?!”, she squeaked out, before she scrambled over Zell and unceremoniously flopped onto the floor on her butt. “Ow!” Scooting onto her knees, Selphie muttered under her breath as she gained her feet. "Let's go!"
Almost instantly she had darted to the front of the shuttle. Peering out the front, she eagerly tugged at the sleeve of a person nearby, telling them of her excitement and getting an odd look in return, before she turned back and scanned the shuttle to find her two companions. "Boys are always so slow.”, she complained to the old lady that was next to her. Almost instantly the woman’s face soured a little bit as she got a pat on her arm. “Oh don’t you believe anything else you hear honey! Boys are nothing but trouble, and they’ll pretend to love you and then when your back is turned, they’ll run off with some little flit of a thing, taking all your money and leaving you high and dry with a baby to take care of! Heed my words child, don’t you-“ “Oh my…that sounds-, OH LOOK, I’ve gotta go.” And with that, Selphie had fled from the woman and her rant about boys. Landing on the ground out of the shuttle, she looked at the scene before her and raised her arms in happiness. “I’m home!”, she called out in excitement to no one in particular. Now where were Zell and Squall anyway?! Those slow pokes had better get their behinds out here so they could get going faster! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 840 Muse:; Good! This was going to be a long trip, wasn’t it? Of course Zell was going to be hungry, what else did you expect from him? He gave a grin towards Selphie as she spoke, hoping she was right and that they served food all the time, or would make an exception since they were SeeDs. He gave her a small chuckle before resting back in his seat some, folding his arms behind his head. Sooner or later he’d get some food, get some sleep and they’d be in Trabia in no time. Keeping yourself busy made the time fly by faster, or at least that’s what Zell wanted to do. He looked around subtly, spotting a few people making themselves comfortable, some of them just lazing back and getting ready to sleep for the entire trip…others who seemed too excited or nervous to sleep. Zell shrugged, he was ready, he could handle a simple shuttle! Off to Trabia!
-------------------------------------
Sleep had eventually taken over Zell. He’d gotten to eat, sat back and relaxed, and fell asleep, with Selphie having fallen asleep on his arm as well. He didn’t stir in his sleep at all, maybe because he kind of knew there was someone sleeping on his arm, or because he was comfortable – which wasn’t likely – but hey, he felt pretty good sleeping…until an elbow connected with his face. Flickering his eyes open and tilting a bit to the side away from Selphie, he’d just been elbowed out of a dream it wasn’t like it was a lovely wakeup call…but hey, it was daylight, sort of, and they seemed to be almost there. “Ow…” he mumbled through a yawn as Selphie’s voice then seemed to jolt him from his being tired as well. How could someone be so excited so early? It had to be before seven in the morning…Zell should still be sleeping but…he would survive! Watching the scene that took place – aka Selphie – Zell shook his head and shot a glance towards Squall. “Think she’s excited?” that one didn’t even have to be answered.
With a sigh, Zell went for the luggage before trudging up the aisle towards the exit of the shuttle, he could hear Selphie squeaking about something, which meant her excitement was skyrocketing with every second. Of course he imagined this would be how things were going to go the entire trip, aside from a bit of professionalism on Squall’s side with whatever it was he had to do here in Trabia. Oh well, they’d find out soon enough! With his bright blue eyes being blinded by the brightness of the sun as he stepped out of the shuttle, his bag in his hand and Selphie’s bag over his shoulder, he looked around for a brief moment. “Are you glad to be back, Selph?” he asked while his eyes were a bit squinted due to the sun. He wondered how the schedule would go, would there be anything fun to do while they were here? He sure hoped so! “So what’s on the agenda? Work then play? Or play then work? It’s up to you and Squall, I’m just the awesome company you guys decided to let tag along.” He said with a cheeky grin, turning a bit so he wasn’t so blinded, waiting for Squall to exit or Selphie to answer. Having an idea as to what was going on was always nice, and so the vacation began. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 696 Muse: Good!
