Leila was slightly surprised when he got serious about telling her the real full story. She could hear an ulterior motive behind it all but she brushed it aside. As much as she enjoyed herself a good, hearty tale that could possibly last quite a while she had...other things in mind. And there was also the fact that no matter how engrossed she was in the story, she could possibly fall asleep if it became late enough. No, if she wanted to hear the tale she would wait until midday when she knew she had time and there wasn't too much of a danger to fall asleep. Just from the little cut she had gotten she knew it would be interesting. She put her arms on the table and leaned forward slightly in her seat. "Really, I'm fine. Bu' I woul' definitely enjoy hearing the actual, full thing. Just...not righ' now."
After that, she became forward. She knew she was. And she had to admit that when she got up and said what immediately came into her mind when he spoke the word "mischief" wasn't exactly the cleanest in the ways of context. But there was just something about him. Something that was different. Something that was just plain attractive to her. She could say it was his muscles and physical stature. She could say it was his mysterious past and his mysterious self. She could say that he had a certain charm about him that just sort of pulled him in. Or she could say all of that. He was different from any other man she had met. He was different from Firion and all the others she had traveled with before. And she was liking this type of different. She was liking it a lot.
Her smirk widened as he studied her spoke and she couldn't help but feel something happen in the pit of her stomach. It was excitement. True excitement. She hadn't felt that feeling since she left home to lead a life of sailing and pillaging. All the other experiences were small in comparison to what she felt then and now. She could see the smile he showed a little of as he continued to speak and did exactly what she did just seconds before. He pulled her in. And she didn't care that he did. She was curious to see how he was going to approach this. But, her eyebrow cocked slightly when he mentioned that he wanted to see her ship. He was much more clever than she took him for. This would be interesting.
"Ye woul' like to add to it, huh? Brave words, mate." She grinned, leaned in a bit more, putting her face a bit closer to his, and continued. "My crew won't give a damn about who I bring on and...show aroun'. Not when they woul' have to deal with the captain, herself." She winked and leaned back and took one of his hands, taking a step back to allow him room to stand up. "Besides, half of the fella's will be unconscious after a few mor' pin's anyway. And I've already prepared the innkeeper with tha' knowledge so I could very well be the only one there to...give ye the gran' tour."
She led him through the crowd of people and tables and through the front door. She then took a sharp turn to the right and headed towards the water where a huge, bulking hull of wood waited to meet them. Leila looked up at it with pride twinkling in her eyes as she led Leon up the dock and gangplank. Yup, this would definitely be interesting.

Leon had been teasing her with going on about how he could say the entire thing, but he was once more surprised at her answer. There was no teasing in her expression when she mentioned that she would like to hear the story, but not right at the moment. Yet again he was floored without any real response to say back. Here was this woman, -and she was definitely all woman-, a pirate with her own ship and crew with enough gumption for two people, wanting to hear his boring long winded story of how awful things had been. Sitting still, he just continued to watch her with a puzzled expression on his chiseled features. He didn’t know what to make of her any more. He’d caught the teasing flirtiness she had shown him, and he’d seen the humorous side, but here was a serious side, a completely mature side. In their short exchange he had learned much about her, and raised just as many questions, if not more then what he had already found out. He was confused as to why he cared about what she thought, but something in the way she looked at him, or just looked and acted, holding nothing back. He both respected and envied her of her ability to let others know what she was thinking and feeling with such ease. Finally he found his voice, yet it was slightly gruff when he answered, a quick “Alright, someday I’ll tell you the rest.” He was still puzzled why such a woman would want to hear the full story.
Her switch from serious to flirty caught him slightly off guard and surprised him, but he couldn’t say that it was in a bad way. Her moods were contagious though, and he found himself smiling, eyes twinkling with a sincere happiness. How long had it been since he could say he was genuinely happy? And here she was, walking into his life and in a whirlwind causing him to smile and forget about the past and everything that should matter. It was refreshing to be able to flirt a little, drink some alcohol, and not have to worry you were going to attack her, and he found himself relaxing. It had been so long since he had looked at any woman other then Maria in the form of affection, he felt oddly clumsy at it. Still, her lead was helpful, and he found himself loosening to the feeling. When she leaned in, he found himself doing the same without intentionally meaning to. “Knights have to be brave Miss Pirate,” he said, returning the smirk, floored again slightly at the wink that she gave him, along with her taking his hand. Heavens, but this woman could make him feel like a man.
Standing up as well, he felt like a puppy as he followed her through the crowded bar. He found himself looking at her neck, her intriguing hair color, and the gentle sway of her hips as they walked past her crew getting slobbering drunk at the bar. If he had looked at them, he may have felt a little disdain but he wasn’t looking at the crew members, or at the pouting woman who had tried to make the pass at him. Instantly he felt the cool night air and wondered where the afternoon had gone. Had he really spent so much time with this woman? In silence they walked to the ship, with nothing to accompany them but the lapping of water and the music and city life going on behind them. The hand on his didn’t loosen, and he returned her grip, walking by her side instead of behind her. A companion instead of a follower. Walking up the plank that separated her world from the normal world was a bit thrilling, and Leon brushed his free hand against the worn wood, appreciation for her once more swelling up. “It feels…free.”, he finally mentioned, enviously looking around him. Freedom. He would do anything for that.

Leila couldn't help the excitement that entered in the pit of her stomach. Her ship was like her baby and she felt immense proud whenever she could show her off. And she wasn't able to do just that very much. After all, it was a pirate ship and a good amount if people didn't admire a pirate ship. All they could see was the dirt and grime and stolen treasure and unbathed men. Well, those people were blind. What she saw when she looked on her ship was a good crew that practically followed her till the end of the world, thousand of stories and scars filled with ambushes alike and stolen treasure, and a nice, big, lovable boat. It was her home. And she didn't know anything else. Except maybe steal and flirt. Yeah, those two were pretty well engrained into her brain but she had worked hard for this ship. If anybody even tried to take it away she would whoever it was down and make them pay with their life.
A small smile appeared on her face as she grabbed Leon's hand and started to practically pull him out of the inn. And, believe it or not, the smile actually stayed. It didn't turn into a grin or a smirk, it just sorta stayed. Even some f her crew members stared at her as she pulled the bigger man behind her with god strength. But, if their captain was happy, so were they and they continued on with their drinks and tales as she opened the door and allowed the cool night breeze to flow in and blow some of her bluish-purple hair back. She left it open as she turned, sure that one of the barmaids would take care of it and just focused on showing Leon her ship. It immediately came into view as the dock wasn't too far away and her smile grew a bit larger as her eyes set on the humongous, wooden hull of the boat. She felt Leon fall into step next to her, but she didn't stop to allow him to get a good look since everywhere you looked was good. Though she would have liked to have had the sails down . The ship always looked nicer when the sails were unfurled. She moved up the gangplank with practiced ease, and finally stopped a few steps in, her footsteps echoing against the wooden planks. She reluctantly let go of Leon's hand and put her own hands on her hips as she took in a prideful breath and looked around at the cluttered deck that was covered with boxes, crates, barrels, and ropes. Yeah, she was proud of a boat. So? She had worked hard and raised herself through the ranks to be able to command and control a ship of this stature.
"Well, wha' do ye think? Ain't she a beaut'?"
She was a bit surprised by Leon's small statement and it was shown by her slight eyebrow raise. Well, that was to be expected of a guy who had been controlled for a good portion of his life. She grinned slightly and jumped up onto a crate and then put her foot on the railing, overlooking the water as the slight breeze continued to blow her hair back a bit.
"Now ye understand why I lef' ome' for this. This sense...of freedom and exhilaration when ye rush through the waves, and the spray hits yer face, and the birds are callin' as ye rush forward. Ye can't find it on land. It has it's own unique sense." She looked at Leon. "I know we only jus' met tonight but I would love to take ye along with me at some poin'. Jus' so tha' ye can feel that sense of freedom that can only be fel' by the waves." And then she grinned wide and chuckled. "So long as ye don' ge' seasick! Rule is ye clean up yer own messes."
She jumped down and crossed her arms as the wide grin turned into another small one, just like back in the inn. "Now, how abou' I show ye them captain's quarters, eh?"

Stepping onto the ship was like stepping onto a completely different world. Despite the ship still being docked, Leon couldn’t help but feel the freedom that this ship brought him. Running his hand over the well worn wooden railing, he continued to walk beside her, despite his eyes being drawn everywhere else. He couldn’t remember ever being on a ship before, at least, not while he had been conscious and himself. The new experience was awe inspiring. The crates and boxes that were on deck were surprisingly organized, the whole ship was surprisingly so. More then he had expected from a bunch of rowdy pirates. But, not, he supposed, from their captain. Giving her a quick glance, he saw that she was as captivated as he was, and she saw this ship every day of her life. Obviously it still held onto its appeal even if you saw it a lot. Breathing in the air tinged with the sea and the spray that came from the water lapping against the side, Leon couldn’t help the smile that lifted onto his lips. He could imagine that it was even better while you were moving.
At her question he nodded but hesitated a moment to answer. He had already spoken of the freedom he felt when he was here, but she was right. There was a raw, savage beauty about this ship. “Yes, I would have to agree that this is true to the term beauty. There’s something so...invigorating about the feel, exhilarating.” With a little sigh Leon closed his eyes, breathing in the scent again, resting his palm lightly against the wood railing and glancing enviously across the sea. How would it feel? To just sail away from anyone and everything, setting out virtually on your own for weeks and not have to deal with the petty issues of the land? He would love to just try it once. Escape his demons and the search for redemption just once. How she made envy flair up in him because of her life. Free from everyone, no need to answer to anyone.
And then she started to explain about the ship and tell him how it felt. He settled there on the deck, leaning over the railing on his arms, listening to her sensual voice speaking. Turning his gaze from the ocean to the side, he was captivated by the scene before him. This beautiful woman, who should have probably wore dresses and fanned herself instead of here on this ship, standing with her foot up on the railing, the breeze blowing her hair back. In every way she was desirably right now, and he had to shift his body. ’Time for a cold shower.’, he thought ruefully to himself. Then again, he hadn’t been so affected by someone in a long time. Running a hand through his hair, he forced his gaze from her and looked back over the ocean, midnight blue eyes skittered over the waters that flowed and rolled, waves rocking the boat even docked. Her explanation causing him to close his eyes and just imagine the wind in his hair and the spray on his face.
Yet he sensed when she was looking at him and opened his eyes to glance back at her. Her words humbled him. Her humor made him chuckle lightly, but he was still thinking of her offer. “I won’t mind cleaning up my own messes if I do get sick, though you’ll have to put up with a greenhorn. I’d like to take you up on that one day though Leila. All of this,” he started with a gesture that swept her ship and the open sea. “I envy you of this life.” That freedom, he still craved it, even being ‘free’ from the Emperors grasp. But would he ever be completely free? Once he gained redemption, which stopped him from just asking to sail off with her and her crew. With a disappointed little sigh, he was then asked if he wanted to see the captain’s quarters. With a wry grin he nodded. “Show me the way Pirate lady,” came teasingly and took a step toward her, thinking again that he was badly in need of a jump in the cold ocean. He had no right to touch her, not when he was still gaining that redemption in his mind. He couldn’t touch her.

Leila couldn't help but glance at Leon every few seconds as they walked up and onto the ship. He may not have given it away, but he looked like little kid on Christmas once his boots had hit the rough wood of her ship. She couldn't blame him for that. She had felt the exact same way when a friend of hers had given her this ship. It had been the best moment of her life when he had looked at her and told her that it was all her. Every deck, every sail, every rope, every plank. Everything was now hers. And she was now a captain. That had been one of the best moments in her short life. So, as she glanced at Leon and then around at her property, she knew she could relate. But, she also knew she couldn't. From what he had told her, he said that he was looking for redemption, and freedom. To him, freedom was what he craved most right now. Freedom from control. She had wanted freedom just for the sake of it. He wanted it to live his life the way he wanted.
She grinned when he said that her ship was beautiful in his own of speaking. He seemed so in awe of everything though do a normal, average person's eye it was just a boat. But, even objects could hold great feelings, couldn't they? From what she had come to know, she was pretty sure in that statement. She watched as he closed his eyes and leaned against the wooden railing, taking in the scent of the ocean and feeling the floating spray against his face as the waves lapped against the side of the boat. How funny and ironic. That was the same thing she had done when she had first stepped onto a pirate ship. She had taken in all of the sights and sounds before running and finding a good place to hide so that she could stow away. Even now, when they were ready to take off from port, she found herself stopping for a second to take in that first breath of ocean breeze to prepare herself for the journey ahead. Sort of like a little ritual to herself.
And then she got serious and spoke about her reasons for leaving home and the feeling of freedom. All truths. Complete truths. And nothing would be able to change that. She was her own being, she was sure of that. She was a free spirit. Man and family had tried to tame her, but it just wasn't a possible feat. She lived for the feeling of adventure and the waves beneath wood. She needed to feel that adrenaline rush and exhilaration during a battle, whether it be land or sea. It was addicting. Once you did it once, you couldn't ever go back to a life of peace. Now that she ever wanted one or would look for such a life. No, Leila was sure that even if she got old, she would stay afloating.
Once again, she couldn't help but chuckle at Leon's comment about being willing to clean up but that she would deal with the fact that he was total newcomer. “Tha's good. As for the gree'horn, we ge' newcomers all o' the time. It wouldn' be any differen'.” And she could hear the serious tone in his voice as he spoke of taking up her offer at some point in the future. And that he was envious of her life. She grinned down at the railing as she unconsciously started to nod. “Yeah, I will admi' I have a good life. For someone as young as me, I've ended up pret'y good. An' I woul'n' wan' it any other way.”
Of course, after that, then she got forward again, and made the request to show him the captain's quarters. He accepted the request and she grinned as she turned on her heel and moved to the aft of the ship, towards a set of double wooden doors that were below the wheel. She grabbed a small set of keys from her waist and unlocked the doors, seeing as some of the more precious treasures were placed in that room. She opened the door wide and walked in. The room contained a desk covered in papers and navigational equipment, along with a simple bed with messy covers. A few glass shelves were around the room, holding certain items that were most likely precious to the pirate captain. Leila moved over to the desk, and sat down on a small empty spot atop of it, crossing her legs and putting her elbow on her knee as she rested her head in her hand.
“Sorry 'bout the mess.” She grinned. “Didn't know I was going to be havin' a visitor, otherwise I migh'a tidied up a wee bi'.”

Her easy acceptance of him being a greenhorn was pleasant. Standing there staring out over the water he just nodded, but a little smile was up on his lips. He wondered if she was so accommodating to everyone, or if he was an exception. Common sense told him that he wasn’t anything special, but then why did he like the thought of her just being so accommodating to him only? The thought of how stupid he was being, how childish made him just shake his head. What had happened to him anyway? Earlier that evening he had just been content to sit in that bar, drink a few drinks, watch the people and brood. He’d had the drinks, watched the people and brooded, but this…he was glad that this young woman had stepped into his life. He couldn’t remember smiling like this, or laughing, since he had been with Maria and Firion growing up before their parents were killed. After that, he had felt the need to mature right away. Maria was his responsibility then, and Firion too, since he was the oldest. He had taken that burden seriously, so seriously it had affected his personality, made him somber and watchful, rather then the sarcastic humor he had had before. Slowly though, the scars were being erased and his normal personality was coming back. She was helping more then she knew in that area. He could be around her and feel no guilt for past sins.
Her easy acceptance of his envy toward her life made him smile back, watching the smile lift onto her own lips. The lips he found himself looking at yet again. It was difficult to focus on what she said and on those lips on the same time, but he made an effort to do just that. Finally he had to drag his eyes back to the ocean to avoid being unable to pay attention. The last thing he wanted to be known as was the man who tried to get her in bed, or had thoughts about it. There were men like that everywhere, but he wasn’t that way. Shaking his head at his own thoughts, Leon’s mind turned back to what she was mentioning.
He thought of her and then his own situation. In his younger years Leon had had dreams like any other young man. That he was going to become successful, find a woman to settle down with, have a family and go home to his parents for suppertime every once in awhile to visit them. That wasn’t the way things had worked out though. Really he had only himself to blame, and shouldn’t dwell on it. The past didn’t matter. Or so he tried to tell himself that. He needed a little more of her gumption when it came to life. If he had it, then he could forget the past and let it remain there without feeling guilty. She obviously wasn’t feeling guilty about being a pirate.- A thought that made him smile.- He had done some things that he wasn’t proud of, but then again, what man or woman could honestly say they hadn’t lived their life without regrets? She was a breath of fresh air, someone who was convincing him to try and forget the past. But that was dangerous. To forget the past was to be more likely to relive the same events, and he never wanted to put anyone through that again. She was an inspiration for sure, which he had to tell her. “You’re an inspiration Leila. Instead of just wanting something, you went to get it yourself instead of waiting for it to fall into your lap.”
Following her to her private quarters, he once again reminded himself that he couldn’t touch her, and wouldn’t. He was a gentleman after all, his mother had taken care of that. Still, he had no right to do so, not in his current state, despite the invitation that hung in the air. That invitation that was tempting. Very, very tempting. Still, he wouldn’t touch her, his promise. Glancing around in mild curiosity, a smile lifted onto his lips at her telling him that she would have cleaned up a bit more had she known. “It’s very alright, I was somewhat unexpected. I thank you for allowing me to see it.” The invitation was still there, and he was busy reminding himself of not touching her. Picking up a compass, Leon backed up until he reached the bed and sat down easily, dark blue eyes showing nothing as he just sat there. Raising eyes then, he noticed that North pointed toward her. ’How ironic,’ he thought somewhat irritated, before snapping it shut and placing it to the side. To get some humor and conversation back going, Leon glanced over at her. “So am I special? Or do most men get to see the Captain’s quarters?”, it was spoken in a light, teasing voice. What did he care though? It was nothing more then a physical attraction he felt toward her, and he had told himself he couldn't touch her. Wasn't it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 1060 Muse:; Great! Tagged:; Leila Location:; Ship Outfit:; Clickeh!Notes:; -- Listening To:;[/color] Mistress - Disturbed

Leila watched Leon closely from her vantage point on her desk as he entered the captain’s quarters. There seemed to be something slightly off about him, but she merely rid herself of the thought as she saw a smile come upon her lips and her smirk widened slightly to mimic his. He seemed to ok with the mess and the state of which her room was in, but who could blame her? She didn’t usually expect company when she was in port and around this time she was coming back here anyway, to think of where they should head off to next. Hence why there were so many pieces of paper on her desk. Nautical charts. Maps. Merchant routes. Just the usual pirate captain stuff. She nodded as he thanked for bringing him here to show him, not saying anything. Only getting off of the desk to go move over to the shelves and look in at her precious treasures. She saw him pick up her compass from the desk and then move over to sit on the bed. She didn’t make a move to reprimand him for taking something that was hers. After all, he didn’t seem like the kind of guy who would steal. Or at least, from her. She turned back around and leaned against the wall, next to shelves as she watched him look at the compass and then shut it close, putting it next to him on the bed. She laughed, however, when he spoke up again and asked her if he was special to be shown this part of the ship.
“Yes and no. Depends on how ye look a’ it. Many a man has come in ‘ere, but just for the usual scoldin’ and yellin’ before I tell ‘im to get his bum back outside and ge’ to work. You’re one of the very few to come in just to be ‘ere.”
The other man she was talking about was her first mate, who she usually brought in just to go over their course and what to expect in the ways of weather and routes. Or to prepare for a nice little scrimmage and pillaging. All of her relationships and flirtations stayed off of the ship. That is, until now. She could easily tell it was a physical attraction she felt for Leon. It always was. After all, she was a pirate. She wasn’t someone who enjoyed staying in one place for very long. She liked to see the ocean all around her and always looked forward to getting too land so that her crew could get drunk an then head off the very next day once they had gotten supplies. It had been a part of her lifestyle for years now, and she didn’t want it to disappear. And she never even thought about finding someone to settle down with. She didn’t want to settle down. If she was to find someone, they had better get used to the idea that they would be traveling all over the world on a ship rather quickly or else she was going to drop him like an anchor.
She pushed herself off the wall nearby and pulled the simple wooden chair out from behind her desk, before sitting down on it. She took a few of the papers and began to separate them in piles. Trying to get something organized and looking neat. But they way that everything was arranged, that would probably be a miracle. But, she wasn’t going to move anything around while Leon was here, nor at nay other point. She knew where everything was since it had been this way for quite a while. While she was doing her little cleanup, she tried to keep the conversation moving along. “So, how long do ye plan on stayin’ in this small town? Or are ye like me? Stay for a nigh’ and then leave the next mornin’ to get a move on to the next destination.” He didn’t seem like someone who would stay in one spot for very long. Plus he had that whole redemption finding thing he had going on which meant he probably would be on the road as soon as she and her men set out.

That answer pleased him. More then he wanted to admit actually. He had never thought of himself as an egotistical man, but it was obvious that she had the same attraction toward him that he had for her. Of course, it was a physical attraction. Had to be. Leon could thank his life for one thing. –Staying in such good shape over the years.- One had to be in peak physical condition to endure what he had. Well hell, whatever worked, worked. No flab on his body. Despite never thinking of himself as having an ego, he couldn’t quite help the smug feeling he’d just gotten from her answer to his question. So he was special. Well wasn’t that nice. Of course he stated none of this, nor did he let on what he was thinking. She didn’t need to hear any of his male ego speaking to her. And so he let her off the hook from having to hear that, for now. Instead he studied the compass, carefully controlling his wandering mind and thoughts that could get him in trouble. It wasn’t his fault. A woman like that, saying something like that…well, men got ideas.
How long had it been since he’d lusted after a woman? Okay perhaps not lust-…yeah it probably was. Imagine his poor innocent little sisters (Tch, right >.>) face if she could read his thoughts right now. The point was that it had been far too long since he had been so strongly attracted to someone. What with being controlled, one didn’t really have the time to be chasing after women, that was for sure. It would be easy to obtain an ego around this woman. Then again, he hadn’t ever seen her in a mood he didn’t doubt she could get in. It took, excuse his language, balls to be a captain of a pirate ship. No matter how loyal the crew members were to her, she was going to have to get tough on them at times. Why did he look forward to seeing that side of her? Well…perhaps that was neither here nor there.
Placing the compass to the side, Leon listened as she asked him what his plans were for the future. Lifting his leg to prop it against his other one, he rested back on a hand and thought about it. “I had thought to leave by morning,” he finally admitted, glancing over at her. He didn’t feel guilty about that. She was a pirate, Leila would wander, just as he wouldn’t stay at one place for long. Not now. Perhaps some day. Some day he would settle down and he could be in one place for a long period of time. Right now he couldn’t. He had to find redemption, and that included being on the run, and searching for the answers.“There’s always somewhere else to be, something else to be doing. In my life, that doesn’t include this sleepy little town,” he stated somewhat regretfully. “If it doesn’t break some pirate code to tell me, where are you going next?” Why did he want to know anyway? Rubbing the back of his neck, Leon gazed at her desk, wondering…always wondering… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 738 Muse:; Goodish! Looking down at her map, Leila wasn’t exactly sure where the ship would be headed off for next. Usually she just allowed the ship to go with the wind. If they had calm seas with a perfect breeze then that was great! If they had one or two storms, then they would get through them. They always did. The ship had been through enough storms and rough waves to be able to get through anything the sea put up against them. She just planned to have the ship head out to open water and then head in the general direction that was away from where they were, and when they hit land, they hit land. Simple as that. So long as there was someone else on their path to fight and steal from, then she was happy. She was a pirate, after all. “Honestly, not sure. We’re gonna hea’ tha’ way,” she said pointing in the opposite direction with her thumb, “and see where the wind takes us.”
She sat up from her chair and went over to go sit next to him. She wasn’t so close to him that it was like she was in his lap, but their shoulders were touching as she snatched the compass from his hands and just glanced at the reading before snapping it close and throwing it back in the direction of the desk. It bounced against the surface and then fell to the floor with a resounding “clink.” She sighed and shrugged, “I’ll pick tha’ up later,” she muttered, exasperated. She was used to crap like that. Well, it certainly wouldn’t kill her. The compass would just sit there till morning. Speaking of which...”Well, when ye se’ off maybe ye’ll be able to see me and the crew off, as well. At least then ye’ll be able to see this baby in action.”
Ok, yeah, the ship would be starting off slow until they got a good wind going, but still the point had been made. After all, for all the years that her ship had been used, through all of the battles and bouts, it was holding up pretty well. It got some damn good speed when a perfect wind was blowing up from the sea and everything was in working shape and help it’s own in a fight, though her Thunder spell did help quite well during sea battles. Nothing surprised an opponent more than realizing the captain of the other ship could blow you to the bottom of the ocean! Though, she did wonder if she would see Leon at some point after this. After all, it was a small world, but Leila and her crew moved quite quickly, just staying in a town for a day, two tops, to get supplies. And Leon was a wandered himself at the moment, as he had said. Well, it would definitely end up being a predicament.

Leon knew what it was like, the not knowing exactly where you were going. She simply jerked her thumb in the direction that they would be going. Away from towns and off across the open sea. Tossed about by the waves. In a sense, they weren’t so different in that area. He, after all, was going to be doing the same thing. Getting tossed around by the waves sort to speak. Unfortunately, he had nothing to stay tied to. In her case, a ship and a crew. Thought it might not seem like much to most, it symbolized a home, a place to rest her head, and a purpose. He had no guarantees for a purpose of any kind. After all, he had no way of knowing exactly what would happen while he was trying to gain redemption. Would he obtain that redemption? Would he fail? Would he be killed somewhere unknown while wandering alone? In some wilderness, ripped to shreds by some wild beast? It was a possibility. What did he have to lose? His sister…his ‘brother’. But hadn’t they already been lost in a certain sense? Until he could feel worthy of their presence, then they were dead to him. Or perhaps he was dead to them. Either way, he had nothing to lose until he gained. At least in his own thoughts. A delusion, but one that was deeply engrained in his mind.
The future, as always, was uncertain.
He did hope that he met her again after he did gain that redemption. It was always a possibility of course, though he didn’t doubt that she would spend most of her time out at seas, away from civilization. That, unfortunately, destroyed most chances of meeting her, unless he and she were at the right port at the same time. Likely though, when he walked away from this ship, he would never meet her again. That was how life went, wasn’t it? That was perhaps the reason why two lonely souls- Immediately he shut his brain to any thoughts about her, carefully keeping a container on his thoughts and emotions. He had always been good at that, fortunately for him. Studying her as she told him her course, he shifted slightly on the bed and nodded. “It seems like you rarely come to port.” Just a simple comment. Really, he had no right to feel disappointment about that. After all, he was ‘in port’ probably as much as she was. Rarely.
Glancing up at the ceiling of the room, Leon simply sat and rested his tired muscles. He wasn’t so much physically tired as just tired of…this. There had to be something more to life than simply trying to survive. If he could find some sort of redemption, then perhaps he would find that way of life that he craved. Go back to his family and actually be a part of that. It was a dream of his, a dream he hoped one day would actually come true. He had to simply keep working on it, and one day he could perhaps have it happen. Back to what things had been like when his parents had been alive. How…long ago had that been now? It seemed like a lifetime. And really it was. He had only been a very young man, tender in years, caring for a sister that was even younger. Events like that aged people prematurely.
Her talking about seeing them off brought reality crashing down again. As much as he was enjoying being with her here, he knew he should leave. He had said he wouldn’t touch her, so though the invitation might perhaps be there, he chose to step away. Lifting himself reluctantly to his feet, he let a smile touch his lips very thinly and then glanced toward the door. “I should let you get your rest before you have to drag the crew back,” he said with a touch of amusement in his voice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 844 Muse:; Good! Now that they were on the subject of their next destination, Leila wondered where Leon was going to end up. He had his journey to go on, with his whole redemption idea and everything to gain. She had the general direction of where she was going in mind, but the actual destination was still to be determined by the time it took to find the next piece of land out in the sea. But, now she couldn’t help but wonder more. When would she meet, or rather see, Leon next? After all, it was greatly possible that they were heading off in opposite directions from where they were now. That meant that the possibility of them meeting up again was very slim, especially with how big the world was. And sending a message wasn’t that easy either if the person you were sending it to was constantly moving. For that, you have to anticipate where they would be heading next. Which meant you needed to know the location. Leila put a hand against her forehead. Too many complications. Looks like this might just end up being a one-time meeting. How unfortunate.
She was brought back to the reminder that someone else was in her room with her when Leon started to talk again, stating that she rarely came into port. She smirked and nodded. “I prefer to be ou’ at sea meself. Don’t know a pirate that don’t have the same idea. So long as we have plenty of supplies, then I am conten’.” Adventure and being out at sea were the two main reasons that Leila had become a pirate. She loved both of them and the fact that she could get both in them just allowed her to kill two birds with one stone and have the time of her life doing so. It was always a great pastime to just stand at either the bow, the side, or up in the lookout tower up above, and look out at the passing water and the clouds. As captain, she had to spend her time in her cabin thinking of what the crew, and the ship, needed to keep going, but she did enjoy when she was able to relax like any other person. It was also nice to be the first person to see a boat coming up to pillage. That was the best for sure.
She made the comment of wondering if he would be able to see the boat off, and watched as realization set across his face as he finally stood up. She followed suit, stretching the muscles in her arms so that they moved out of the stiff formation from not being moved. “Rest is probably a goo’ idea, seein’ as how a lo’ of yellin’ will be happenin’ tomorrow mornin’. Plus, the crew should be headin’ back sometime soon, too.” Once again the thought of when she would see him again entered her mine. It had been a long time since she had been this attracted to a man. She actually wanted to see him again, though who knew when that would happen. “Well, it was mos’ certainly nice meeting you, Leon,” she spoke with another flirtatious smirk on her face, “I do hope that we get to meet again sometime.”

Leon didn't want to move. Resting there easily, he propped a hand up on his knee and listened to her voice while she confirmed that she indeed didn't come to port all that much. He should have expected it really. Actually, there was no doubt this might be the only night he saw her. As much as he wished that he would make it last longer, common sense told him to move on. It was time to move again, time to leave. "I figured," he said calmly. He was a warrior, he couldn't complain about this lifestyle. One day he would be able to leave this life behind him. Perhaps when that day came he could find this woman again. She intrigued him, with her attitude and personality. Her ability to be free from the challenges that faced those bound by duties they didn't wish to follow through with. Her voice too, soothed him in the husky quality she possessed.
Instead he got up and started to dismiss himself. There was nothing that he could do, even if he wanted to. in only moments he would be out of her life, a mere passing stranger with a story and a reason to walk away and never return. He wasn't worth any trouble for her, so before he became any trouble he would leave. Best too before he became a nuisance. Before he left though, he paused and glanced over her features. Damn, he hadn't felt so attracted to a woman in a long time. No at least, anywhere near how he felt right than and there. Which was exactly why he had to walk away right away, before he got attached. After all, before he could live life as that of a normal human being, he was going to have to find the redemption he was looking for. After that...perhaps if he survived, he would make a point of finding here again. Yes, he would do that. She might be a bit much to handle, but he figured that it would be refreshing to do so.
When ahead said it was nice to meet him, Leon nodded his head to return the compliment, but said nothing for a moment. Finally he turned to leave. While walking through the door to her quarters, he changed his mind. Turning back around quickly, he caught her gaze and walked toward her. Hell, what kind of a man would he be if he left a woman he felt so attracted to, and seemed to be attracted to him, without any memory or way to remember him? Catching her around the waist, he dipped his head to kiss her, a moment later drawing back. "I'll find you after I get my redemption," he said firmly. "Keep a look out on that deck," he ended, a lazy grin on his face, before he ducked out of her quarters. Walking toward the deck himself, Leon vaulted off the side, landing on the deck and straightening back up. With a final raise of his hand, he turned and disappeared into the shadows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 701 Muse:; Good! Tagged:; Leila! Location:; Ship Outfit:; That one!
