She also wears a white halter-like top with an opening in the center, a short pleated white-pastel purple skirt with a fur pelt in the back, along with yellow boots. Her wrists are adorned with numerous bracelets, and she wears armbands on her biceps and beaded necklaces.Yeul speaks in a soft tone and in a mysterious sort of way, making her clairvoyant nature all the more present.
Personality:
Shrouded in mystery, Yeul keeps to herself, and digging up history about her past can be a challenge if you ask her, as she doesn't like talking about her past, or her childhood. There is more then meets the eye, and though Yeul hardly ever talks about herself or what happened, she thinks about it often. Being a Seeress from the past, Yeul can 'show others the way', and sees things most cannot. Because of being a seeress, Yeul never had a normal childhood, which can be discerned with how she speaks and acts. Usually speaking in a more cryptic way, never saying things in a direct way, but leading people around by what she means. The answer is always pointed to in her words, but people often have to think about what she's saying to really get it.
Yeul doesn't speak about things that don't matter, and is very quiet, as well as reserved. Normally she speaks when there is something important to say, or if she's spoken to. Other then that, she usually remains silent and just watches what is going on. Just because she doesn't speak all the time however, doesn't mean she isn't thinking. In fact, she seems to always be deep in thought, wondering. Everything she does, she puts a large amount of time and effort into thinking about before she does it, even if one doesn't know that. Intelligent, she relies more on her thinking then on physical violence, and can very easily adjust to situations.
Despite her abilities as a seeress, Yeul has never let that get to her head. She has always remained humble, and does not elevate herself above anyone else just because of it. In fact, she is very kind, and feels concern for others, though she hides it behind a passive face and almost sad features. She rarely smiles, since she has nothing to smile about, but that doesn't mean, given the opportunity, she cannot do so. In fact, Yeul has a tender heart and enjoys many things, simple things like the flowers and the scenery, the taste of saltwater on her lips, and a sunset. But the problems and the worries of life weigh on her shoulders. Perhaps it is from the worries, or it might be because she does not let emotions out very often. Whatever the case may be, she looks troubled.
History: Paddra Nsu-Yeul is a seeress from the past on Gran Pulse, living at the same time as Fang and Vanille, during the war of transgressions. From her physical appearance, one could guess that she is about the same age as them as well. Being a seeress, she authored the fourth and ninth Analects, which are related to Etro's mythos, Ragnarok's attack on Cocoon, and the origins of Eidolons. Yeul could not have a normal childhood with her abilities as a seeress, and was very different from the others. She was born and raised in Paddra, of the Nsu clan. Somewhere along the way, Yeul teamed up with Caius, and is now his companion as he travels.
Hundreds of years later, when Caius appears in Oerba in front of Noel Kreiss and Serah Farron, Yeul also appears behind them. She cryptically tells Noel and Serah that she and Caius have been watching over them.
Yeul and Caius later are standing in front of a time gate in the Sunleth Waterscape. Caius asks Yeul if Noel and Serah will ever find the dawn, and she tells him that it depends on what lies in their hearts. Yeul points at Serah claiming that they are the same, as they can both 'show people the way'. In Augusta Tower, she also tells Noel about Caius being immortal and that he is able to remember the entire timeline.
On the streets of Academia, Yeul is seen to be dying or in great pain. She is being held by Noel, while stating that she is a 'contradiction' to the timeline as long as she is alive. At the same time, Serah despairs over she and Noel causing a paradox to occur, therefore sealing Yeul's fate.
In the "New Adventures" trailer, Yeul is shown with Serah in Valhalla, asking her why she seeks to change time, and why she keeps trying to stand in Caius's way. Then she tells Serah that she comes closer to death as she changes the timeline.

So this is how the journey would end?
Yeul coughed slightly, opening her eyes to peer up. She hurt, all over, like a fire that consumed her body, but she didn't complain. Why bother to do that? The time left was short, complaining would change nothing. Altering the time line had done this to her. Still, she refused to complain. Somehow she had known, when she had started on this journey, that things would end like this. Being with Caius, her companion, was sure to end in a bad way. How could it be anything but bad? While looking up she caught a glance at Noel's face, and of Serah's looming over as well. Yeul didn't attempt to smile in reassurance. Not only did it hurt to do so, but in years past, she had stopped smiling almost altogether. Always having been one to smile only when she truly felt happiness, Yeul would admit she had not had anything to really be happy about in a long time. Things weren't like they used to be. And even then, in her childhood, as a seeress, Yeul had seen things normal children had not, setting her apart as different.
It was almost comical who was with her at this time. Wincing once more, Yeul watched the two with her and blinked once. They were all three representations of different times. She herself was from the past, Serah the present, and Noel the future. Perhaps her time was up now, but was it really a bad thing? She had gotten to live in the past, this was not her time. Whose time was it though? Would Serah and Noel survive if they continued to alter time? Yeul wanted to warn Serah again, about coming closer and closer to death the more they changed the time line. Could she blame Caius for what he had done to protect it? Perhaps he had not gone about doing it in the best way, and she had never wanted harm to come to either of them. Coughing again, Yeul watched them, studying their features.
Her own delicate features showed nothing, aside from the pain. Serah was going on about how this was their fault, but whos fault was it really? Anyones? The rain continued to steadily fall, and in the darkness, Yeul could feel the cold liquid hit her bare skin, and shivered slightly. Being half cradled in Noel's arms, Yeul felt a warmth from his skin against her own. Hands were folded as she lay, consumed with pain. It was a comfort, being held when she was so deeply in pain, even if it was just a hand on her arm and an arm around her shoulders. The support helped her to remain calm. No one wanted to face something like this alone. For a second she just remained there, listening to Serah talk about how it was their faults. Finally she opened her eyes wide and glanced at Serah. Her gentle voice spoke out, as she tried to reassure Serah with her words. "If I were to live, it would bring contradiction to... to the time line." Pausing mid sentence for a sharp pain, Yeul tensed up before relaxing slightly and finishing. Her quiet voice was laced with pain, though she did her best to hide it.
Yeul might have laid a hand on her arm, but that would require strength she didn't have in her petite, pain filled body. After she made the effort to say that, her head rolled down and to the side, and she had to close her eyes. Chest rose and fell as she lay there, on the road in Academia. Would she die? Most likely. She was, as she had stated, a contradiction to the time line. How could she remain? Breathing in and out, Yeul continued to remain as still as possible, in order to try and keep the pain down. It hurt, but she tried not to concentrate on the pain, and rested her head on Noel's arm, thankful for the support he was lending. She was Caius' companion, yes, but Yeul, like everyone, had secrets. She would not tell Caius of course, but she was concerned about the outcome for Gran Pulse. Noel was a testimate of what lay ahead to her beloved home. Inside, Yeul hoped that the two with her right now, Noel and Serah, could fix it. Yes, the fact that they had altered the time line would bring her death.
She wouldn't remain living, could not. If she did, she would be a contradiction to the time. Yeul didn't want to die. Who actually wanted to die? But she had come to accept it. The pain hurt, yes, but there was nothing she could do about that. Perhaps with her death, they would find a way to change the future. Opening her eyes once more, Yeul looked up, blinking as the rain hit her skin, and reached her left hand to the side. Ignoring the pain of moving, Yeul placed her left hand on his hand covering her right arm lightly. She was met with a calloused hand beneath her softer one, and turned her gaze toward him. She had one last thought before she went. To Yeul, it was important. There was no going back, Yeul couldn't change her destiny. Because of the altered time, she had to go. But weighing heavily on her mind was the future, Noels world. Hers had been in the past, but his world, which was the same Gran Pulse, was in danger.
Continuing to look up at him, she finally spoke, her gentle voice soft. "Change it." Yeul struggled to explain what she meant. "I don't want-..." A sharp pain went up her side making her pause in her thought, closing her eyes and cringing slightly, her hand tightening on Noels. The pain subsided then, and she continued. "-...To die in vain." Searching his blue eyes with her own hazel eyes, Yeul finally thought that she had laid her worry to rest. These two would fix what needed to be fixed. "Make it right..." That was spoken no louder then a whisper as her head dipped and she leaned back against his arm once more. She worried about the outcome to this. Caius was so strong...but so was Noel, he could do this. Eyes closed then as her hand slipped from his, resting on her stomach.
The end of a journey.
