Despite the drama they’d faced only a short while ago, things were really going well for them right now. The sun was shining, the surroundings looked great and the people were happy and kind, from what she’d seen so far, though she’d been worried and even somewhat fearful of what she might see in this strange new world, Cosmos couldn’t deny feeling happy right now. Even if this was a onetime thing, even if this was the last time she’d go to another world, it was still worth it in her mind. She might not be able to physically return ever again, but at least she had the memories she’d already made and was sure to make more of while exploring this little seaside village. Memories were priceless, and the goddess of harmony could wish for nothing more than a few happy ones to think back on every now and then when she was feeling lonely or tired from all the endless fighting. She didn’t often show it, but sometimes it did wear her out, but that was only natural, wasn’t it? The reason people kept fighting was because they were hoping to achieve a certain goal, they had something to look forward to, a reward of sorts for enduring their struggles. Cosmos’s goal was practically unachievable however; she wanted to bring peace and harmony to the people, and the only way that could be achieved was by combating Chaos. The only way the god of discord could be stopped however, was if she herself were to fade away. There was no reward waiting for her at the end of the road, the only thing that awaited her was either eternal struggle, or death. It was a grim, depressing thought, but by now, Cosmos had resigned herself to her fate. It was what it was, and for now, there didn’t seem to be a way to change it. Perhaps one day she’d figure out a way to keep living even if Chaos were to die, but she wasn’t holding her breath for such a solution.
But none of that really mattered for now. What mattered now was enjoying the time she’d been given on this strange world called Spira, for however long it may last. “I agree,” she nodded at Warrior’s words, leaving her earlier thoughts behind in favor of happier ones, “Being here and seeing how wonderful all these people are and how beautiful this world is, it has only strengthened my resolve to keep opposing Chaos, to keep fighting for a better future for everyone,” she placed a hand over her heart and smiled, “A future where everyone can live a happy life… it won’t be an easy thing to achieve, but if we want it enough, I know that one day we can make that dream come true,” even if complete harmony could never be achieved, Cosmos would keep up her struggles, if only to ensure that discord didn’t dominate the worlds. If she could just bring a nice balance to things, that was enough for her. “Very well then,” she replied when he assured her that everything was alright, if Warrior felt he was up for more exploring, who was she to tell him he was wrong? People knew their own limits, and the Warrior of Light wasn’t foolish enough to push himself over that boundary just to please her, after all, she would be the complete opposite of pleased if he were to collapse from having pushed himself too much. Cosmos didn’t get mad easily, but she was sure to give him a stern talking to if he ever did something like that. Being noble and devoted to the light was great, but there was also a point when you needed to think about your own wellbeing. Stepping forward, ready to start looking around again, she turned briefly to see if he was coming. When she saw him follow, she finally started walking fully. Cosmos wondered what else there was to see on this world… so far, she’d seen quite a few new and exciting things, and she wouldn’t mind seeing a few more while she had the time. Now that she’d gotten over her initial shock, she also felt like taking another look at that strange round object, or more specifically, take a look at what people did with it. Those children from before seemed to have been playing a game or a sport with it, she wondered what that sport was called…
“Mhmm…” she mumbled, still trying to keep herself from betraying her blushing face. What was it with her lately? She’d known the Warrior of Light for a very, very long time now, and while she’d always felt close to him – perhaps closer than to the other warriors of light – her feelings seemed to have changed over time. Every time a cycle ended and he had to return home again, she felt sadder than she did after the earlier cycles, and seeing him appear to her again at the start of a new cycle seemed to make her happier each time. While in many cases, knowing one another for so long meant that your feelings for each other mellowed out a little, for Cosmos, her feelings only seemed to intensify. Right now, at that very moment, she felt much like a silly, love struck teenager, but Cosmos couldn’t say that it bothered her. She actually quite liked feeling this way, it was a nice, warm feeling that just naturally seemed to make you happy and forced all sorts of positive thoughts into your mind. It was a feeling she hadn’t experienced before, of course she loved all her warriors dearly, but there was something different about her feelings towards Warrior, she wouldn’t say stronger, but it was certainly different. She didn’t see him as she saw all the others, he was special to her, and he probably always had been. She was sure he always would be, too.
The golden haired woman understood that the two of them would likely never be together in that way, considering who and what they were, but it didn’t hurt to allow yourself those warm and happy feelings, even if you never acted on them. Cosmos was fine with never acting on them, for one, because she couldn’t be certain that he felt the same way about her, she had a hunch that he might, but just in case he didn’t, she didn’t want to ruin their easy going friendship. And second, it was because she believed he could find someone better than her, someone who could really be by his side and offer him all the things he deserved; a home, a family… those were things she couldn’t give him even if she wanted to, and it would be cruel to ask him to give those things up for her. Cosmos frowned a little to herself as she continued to walk and think on those things. It was moments like these that she really cursed her ability to think as a human being, because it was these exact moments that she realized that the things she wanted were things she could never have. And that was a bitter pill to swallow, even for a goddess. It was the main reason she’d never tried to leave Order’s Sanctuary before… because being here and seeing this lovely world only reminded her that she couldn’t stay here, that she didn’t belong her. As always, she’d focused on the positives rather than the negatives and decided that the memories were worth the trip her, but she couldn’t really give a positive spin to the fact that she couldn’t be with a man she truly loved, one who might even return her feelings.
“Yes?” she asked again, turning around to face him but being beaten to it when the Warrior of Light walked past her and stood face to face with her. Blinking a few times, she simply stood and waited for him to say what he wanted to say, it had to be serious, because he looked quite nervous. Reaching out, she put a comforting hand on his arm and smiled warmly, giving him a slight nod to indicate that he could really tell her anything. She wouldn’t judge or fault him, even if he said something she might not fully agree with. “It’s alright,” she told him gently when his eyes flickered around as he tried to muster up that courage to say what he had to say. Her smile faltered when he finally blurted out what had been bothering him and when he expressed his real feelings for her. So she really had been right in her assumptions, he cared about her as well… Cosmos continued to look him in the eye as he spoke and listened carefully to his words, which brought forth all sorts of confusing and contradictory feelings within herself. On one hand, it made her heart skip a beat to hear him say something so wonderful, and she really just wanted to grin and tell him she felt the same way about him. On the other though, she felt terrified as to how she could realistically respond to this situation. Confessing her own feelings was the honest and right thing to do, but it would also be giving him hope, hope she wasn’t sure was real. Denying her feelings would surely hurt him, but in the long run, wouldn’t it be better for him? If he thought she didn’t feel the same way, perhaps he would try and find another woman, one who could make him truly happy. Then, he could live a good life with her without having to worry about endless fighting and having to watch her fade from existence the way Cosmos was destined to fade.
When he’d finished talking, her eyes flickered to the ground as her face switched back and forth between a half-smile and a frown. What could she possibly say? What was the best course of action in this case? Cosmos just didn’t know right now. Crossing her arms over her chest, her eyes flickered over the floorboards as she tried to come up with a satisfactory reply if there even was one. She’d have to come up with one soon, because the longer she waited, the harder it would be on both of them. After a little while, she looked back up at him with a somewhat saddened expression as she reached a shaky hand out to caress his cheek, “Thank you… for telling me… I-I…” she took a deep breath before speaking again, “I am very fond of you as well. More than that, even. I believe that… what I feel for you is… love, perhaps. But…” she trailed off again, she’d chosen the path of honesty and while she couldn’t be sure if it had been the right decision, there was no going back now, “Do you realize what you’re saying? By choosing to live for me, you choose a path of endless struggle. The cycles won’t end, and so long as Chaos exists, I must oppose him. Surely that can’t be the sort of future you desire?” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 1865 Tagged: Warrior of Light <3 Location: Kilika Island Outfit: Regular Notes: Muse EXPLOSION, and believe it or not, I had to force myself to stop, or it would've been twice as long. XD And yes I want to punch myself for ending it on a less than note, but this sort of response seemed in character for her.

Standing here and listening to Cosmos speak, Warrior simply nodded slightly, he liked her idea. To keep opposing Chaos, for a world like this to remain as peaceful and beautiful as it was. Warrior would fight for that, for the sake of other people who had no place within the cycles of war between harmony and discord. Glancing around them for a moment, the Warrior of Light took those few moments to appreciate the view, not just the company, but the actual nature of this planet. It was so nice, something definitely worth fighting for, and it was moments like this that made the Warrior glad that he was chosen, or at least given the opportunity to help fight for the light that made all of this possible. This place, Kilika, was definitely fueled by harmony and the light, rather than discord and chaos. He appreciated the very carefree feeling around here, he couldn’t help but smile at it all, hoping Cosmos was seeing the beauty just as he was, and judging by her words, she was. He had to be happy that she was having a good time, one might say she was truly happy, and that’s all Warrior ever wanted for her, he wanted her to be happy and safe, this place was providing both of those things so far.
Concerning his wound, Warrior shrugged slightly, it was of course bothersome, and it would be for a few days until it was healed completely, but it could’ve ended up a whole lot worse. In fact, had it not been for the goddess, he could’ve and would’ve died there in Order’s Sanctuary. Being impaled by a figure that was practically a mirror image of yourself, it was a scary thought, but he would’ve gone through the pain a thousand times so long as it ensured Cosmos’ safety. It was probably too honorable of the Warrior of Light to make such promises to himself, but it was true, if one was going to fight for the light, then one must be willing to die for it as well, that was something he was willing to do at any given time, no matter what debates or retaliations one might give him, especially Cosmos.
Those feelings for her though, they had never been able to leave him alone, even during the cycles, but then they were at war, now they were just relaxing, exploring a new world and all the beauty it had to offer. These feelings of his just kept bubbling to the surface, ready to explode. Warrior couldn’t allow those feelings to explode out of him in such a rude fashion, he needed to tell her, before things got bad for him. Not that things would go necessarily well, but still, he trusted Cosmos enough to get something like this off his chest at least. Whatever came from it was his own fault, whether it be good or bad, there was no one to blame aside from himself. If only he’d gotten his brain and heart to shut up, instead of telling him to talk to Cosmos, to express his feelings, if he didn’t do it now, he might not get another chance as good as this one. He had been away from her for awhile now, he didn’t want to risk losing her again and never telling her how he felt, that would just about tear him to bits and pieces. Before this moment was gone, it was best to speak up.
Wandering his way after Cosmos before picking up his pace and actually stepping ahead of her, Warrior had a last minute debate with himself, and ultimately his heart won. This was worse than facing any sort of beast, any god of discord, or even staring death point blank in the face. This was…something he wasn’t ready for, nor was he all that confident over, but still, good things happen to those who try, or at least that’s what they say, anyways. Swallowing his pride one last time, he spoke, truthful and respectful words escaping his lips, everything he’d wanted to say for awhile now, simply put into a formal tone, it was what he wanted Cosmos to hear, not that he expected anything from her, maybe just an understanding, a nod even, he’d take it, and maybe now his mind and heart would shut up, but he could already sense an aching in his chest after he had spoken. He watched the golden beauty, waiting for her reaction, her response, whatever it was, whether it was words or nods, he wanted to know that she acknowledged his words and actually thought them through, they were hard enough to muster as it was. The toughest part of all of this was done and over with though, the waiting game still was not a friend of the Warrior of Light’s.
Watching her, Warrior wasn’t sure how to read her face. She had this…half smile, yet a half frown expression going on, so he wasn’t sure if she was saddened, happy, or amused. Only time would tell, and he was starting to feel anxious, though his face remained practically void of most expressions, he simply chided himself on the inside to slow down, have patience, and in time Cosmos would respond, and honestly. He could always hold her to an honest answer. When she finally looked at him fully, a saddened expression on her face, Warrior instantly felt his heart sink, but he didn’t hit rock bottom just yet, there was still a tiny thread of hope there, especially when she lifted a hand to caress his cheek. He simply waited for her words, and soon they came. It wasn’t something he had been expecting though, Warrior almost wanted to raise his eyebrows or mutter out a small ‘what?’ but refrained from it, listening to her words still, and taking them all in. Feeling his heart flutter instead of sink now, it was a wonderful feeling, but the end of her words…it was true, he’d almost wanted to chuckle. Instead, he let a warm smile appear on his face. “Life is always an endless struggle, no matter who you are. As for Chaos, I vowed to protect the light, to ensure your safety. Nothing changes for me no matter who I choose to live for. The future I desire…is one so long as you exist. I understand what I am saying, I’ve thought about it all, but battles do not faze me, they never have.” He admitted honestly, still giving her that warm smile before reaching a hand out, placing a few fingers under her chin, he gave her an honest response, that was all she really needed. “Living for you is not a struggle, I consider it a blessing. I hope you can understand that, as they say…I guess love can make a man do crazy things. Hm?” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 1266 Muse: Excellent! Tagged: Cosmos! It was funny the way life worked out sometimes. Just when Cosmos had decided to keep her thoughts and feelings to herself, safely tucked away within her own mind, Warrior had stopped her in her tracks to confess his own feelings to her. Sometimes, the goddess wondered if they really did share some sort of connection through their shared light, because at times like these, it was almost like he could read her mind; see her thoughts even if she tried to keep them to herself. For the longest time, Cosmos couldn’t figure out how to handle this incredibly delicate situation. Of course she cared about him, she cared about all of her warriors. But this warrior in particular was special to her. Out of everyone, he had remained at her side the longest. He could tell how she was feeling when no one else could. He could make her smile and laugh when all she wanted to do was frown and mope. Thinking on their relationship now, it was quite evident that they’d passed that delicate line of being simply allies to one another and being something more a long time ago. They already felt too strongly for each other to remain objective in dangerous situations, that much was clear from their past struggles against discord. As Cosmos touched the Warrior of Light’s cheek, she knew that there was really no way she could lie to him now by telling him she felt nothing but platonic friendship for him. What was the point? He would be able to see through her lies, and denying her feelings would put a much larger strain on their easy going friendship than her honesty ever could. If she answered him honestly, at least they could openly discuss the situation with one another and figure out where to go from here. Neither of them was so emotional that as soon as they’d confessed their feelings, they’d be incapable of a rational discussion, or she assumed… and hoped.
It was a great relief to see that her assumptions were correct. Rather than doing something impulsive and not even considering her words, the Warrior of Light addressed them rationally. As he spoke, Cosmos felt her gaze lower a little, though she still listened intently to what he had to say. He had thought this through, and he was certain that this path was the one he wanted to take. Part of her wanted to object and insist that he would be happier if he went out and found someone normal, someone who wasn’t constantly at war, but she really couldn’t find the strength to say it. Hadn’t she mentioned before, with regards to Warrior’s injuries, that he himself knew best how much he could handle and when he needed to rest? Couldn’t the same be said here, with regards to his feelings? If he knew his body better than anyone else, didn’t the same apply to his heart and mind? Who was she to tell him what would make him happier? It was something only he could decide… Her eyes moved back up again when she felt his fingers brush against her chin, and her heart fluttered pleasantly in her chest upon seeing his smile, the goddess of harmony couldn’t stop a similar smile from appearing on her own face, and it only grew when he continued to speak. He considered living for her a blessing… that was something she’d never expected to hear from any of her warriors, not even him. Sure, serving the light was a noble calling, but few would call it a blessing. More like a worthy struggle to endure.
With an almost shy smile, Cosmos reached up and grasped the hand beneath her chin. “I… I understand,” she spoke softly, her eyes trailing downwards again as her smile widened once more, “You really mean what you say… I can feel it. If this is truly what you want then… I am honored to have you by my side,” she nodded once, slowly, before continuing in an even softer tone, “I would have no other,” the words almost sounded foreign to her own ears, but this was really how she felt about this situation – about him. With a light giggle, she gazed back up at his face, “Don’t you let that get to your head.” Despite all the difficulties they’d faced lately, and despite all the difficulties they’d face down the line, at this moment, Cosmos felt like she just couldn’t stop smiling despite her best efforts. The goddess knew what happiness was, and had even experienced it at some points herself, but it had never been this strong. It sounded cheesy, but this was likely one of the happiest moments in her life. Maybe one day either one or both of them would regret this decision, but for some reason, Cosmos felt like that day was still far away. Perhaps it would never come, but even if it did, she just wanted to enjoy the moments like these for however long they lasted. Her smile faded, but her happiness did not, and her happiness made her feel almost… bold. Stepping forward a little, she lightly wrapped her arms around the Warrior’s waist and rested her forehead against his shoulder, closing her eyes for a moment and sighing contently. For a little while, she just wanted to hold onto him. It wasn’t like either of them were clingy people who would tackle each other every five seconds, but after this confession, she just felt she needed to hold him for a little while. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 931 Tagged: Warrior of Light <3 Location: Kilika Island Outfit: Regular Notes: Because let's face it, they can't be all "I <3 u!" and then continue on on their merry way without at least a hug!

This was one of those moments you loved, but you were fearful of. Warrior wasn’t sure he had been doing the right thing, talking about his feelings like this, but after all was said and done, he was glad the urge to be so bold had taken over him. Although his expression was a pleased one, he didn’t look like a giddy school girl or anything, on the inside though, he was feeling both relief and satisfaction, knowing Cosmos felt the same way…it was a huge relief. Even if she hadn’t said anything about her own feelings, Warrior would’ve been okay, not rejected per say, but he would’ve felt as if he’d created a giant awkward gap between himself and his now expressed love interest. He couldn’t help the small and very sincere smile across his lips as he gazed down at Cosmos, whether she was looking back at him or shifting her gaze…he just continued to look at her face, trying to read her expressions without seeming too fixed on her face, even though it was a pretty one to pay attention to.
The words he had spoken to her though, they had been true as true can be. He did feel like living for Cosmos, fighting for the light was a blessing. Though many would think being summoned from their own worlds to fight against those wanting chaos and discord to rule to be a curse or a burden, it was a good thing for everyone. Had they just sat around and bickered about what an inconvenience was and let the villains do what they wanted, each world would’ve changed significantly. There needed to be an even balance between harmony and discord, and if Warrior of Light was the only one dedicated and proud to be a warrior of Cosmos’, then so be it, the rest just didn’t understand it as much as he did. Perhaps it was because Cosmos had given him some of her light, giving them a different kind of bond than the other warriors. They all had lives, people to go back to, and a life to live and goals to strive for, Warrior had those too, but those involved the cycles, they involved Cosmos and his goals were to protect her and maintain a sense of peace among the worlds as best as he could. So yes, living for her really was a blessing.
With a hand gently under Cosmos’ face, Warrior did his best to assure her that his words were true and honest. He simply kept the small smile on his face, watching the almost smile appear on her face, a hand reaching up and touching his which was under her chin. She understood, that brought more of a smile to the Warrior’s face as he then felt his heart and stomach get that warm and fuzzy feeling people had talked about before, “and I am honored to be by your side.” He said in response to her statement which was practically the same. She would have no other. His own gaze lowered slightly, but his smile turned to more of a happy one, the one you got when someone you really loved started feeding you compliments, it was those shy smiles that made things seem more worthwhile when they weren’t the fake or cocky smiles. The giggle though, that brought his attention back as he looked up at her face and waved his hand slightly, scoffing dramatically as he did so. “Me? Let anything go to my head? Never.” He said almost as dramatically as his scoff had been before letting a few chuckles of his own escape his lips. At least there was a bit of humor in it all, and not a thing seemed awkward…in fact…one might say this had been coming for awhile.
It was about damn time.
When Cosmos stepped forward, Warrior had his arms already up and around her back and waist, holding her close in an embrace. Who would’ve thought a simple warrior would end up like this? Cosmos was like a princess, a Goddess, and he was no prince charming, he was simply the knight in shining armor, as cliché as it sounded…but that’s exactly what it was. No matter what situations would arise soon enough, and he knew well that things would get difficult concerning more cycles and more dangers involving these portals…he’d remain Cosmos’ knight and shining armor as long as he possibly could, that was his goal in life, to ensure her safety and happiness, and now that she accepted it after his confession…things could be just…easy. “Do you want to continue onwards? Or we can stand here for a little while longer, I’m not complaining.” He spoke as he still held her close in an embrace, not minding if she wanted to stay here for a few moments. How long had he wanted to do this? Too long, but finally he was getting the chance, no longer were those fears of rejection filling his mind, only bright thoughts for the future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 947 Muse: Great! Had she known from the get-go that it would be like this, Cosmos might’ve confessed sooner. This wasn’t at all the unpleasant and uncomfortable thing she had thought it out to be. In her mind, any sort of relationship between herself and her warriors that wasn’t strictly business with her secretly caring about them from a distance was doomed to fail. They all had lives and people to return to, meanwhile, Cosmos had nothing. All the goddess had was her sanctuary, where she waited for the next cycles to begin anew, and nothing more than that. Her existence was pretty hollow when the warriors of light weren’t with her, but she still chose to keep returning. To keep fighting. Cid had offered to let her abandon the world once, telling her she could join him wherever he was. She had declined. No matter how sad and empty her life sometimes seemed, in Comos’s mind, it was a perfectly good sacrifice. Her life for theirs, it seemed more than fair. But now that she stood here with Warrior in front of her and his hand under her chin as he spoke the words she’d been holding back for far too long already, the goddess felt like she finally had some real joy in her life. A sort of happiness that was just for her, and not from her to everyone else. Maybe this wouldn’t last, but Cosmos was willing to at least try and be with him. Even if it all went to hell one day, she would still have these happy memories to keep her going, and she assumed the same was true for Warrior.
The two of them laughed a little when Warrior said he never let anything get to his head. It was weird to admit this, but Cosmos was almost thankful that the manikins had attacked her sanctuary and thus forced them to flee to this place. Had they still been in the sanctuary, none of this might’ve ever happened. They wouldn’t have had this talk, they wouldn’t have been able to see this beautiful, beautiful world together, and Cosmos still wouldn’t have known that she could be selfish for once and take something for herself. ”Behave,” she giggled in response to his words, playfully hitting his chest with her free hand. It was very… nice, being able to laugh and joke and just enjoy the moments you had without being overly concerned about the manikins and the cycles and Chaos and whatnot. For as long as she could remember, those things had been the only concerns on her mind, the only topics she just couldn’t forget even if she were having a chat with one of her warriors. For the first time… ever, really, none of those things were actively on her mind. They haunted her somewhere deeper inside, like they always would, but at this moment, she wasn’t actively thinking or worrying about them, and for a moment, Cosmos felt like just a normal woman, and not a goddess.
The happy thoughts made her feel bolder than usual, and before she knew it, she had stepped forward to wrap her arms around the Warrior of Light and hold onto him for a while. A sigh escaped her lips when she felt his arms wrap around her as well, returning her affection. This whole day made her heart do flip flops in her chest, and right now, Cosmos seriously felt like it might explode on her any minute now. Most people would find it strange that she felt so strongly about what really just boiled down to a boy telling her he liked her, but then, most people didn’t live the life she did. Constantly worrying about everyone and throwing her own happiness away to ensure that everyone else could live relatively peaceful lives. They didn’t know what it was like to have to fight over and over and over again and be forced to part with the only companions you had time and time again, until one day their lives were at such a point that Cosmos could no longer justify pulling them away from it, and had to go search for new warriors again, who would inevitably leave her as well in the end. Warrior was the only one who had stuck by her throughout all the cycles, the only one who kept coming back time and time again. Cosmos really couldn’t imagine how her life would’ve been had he not been there with her. His loyalty and devotion to not only herself, but to the light as well kept her motivated, it strengthened her hopes and dreams for the future, that a future without Chaos was a possibility that could one day be achieved. He inspired her more than he most likely knew.
She smiled softly when he spoke up again, ”Neither am I,” she replied, but she didn’t move away yet. Who knew when they’d get a chance for something like this again? And just how long had she wanted to do something like this? Even if she still wanted to explore this strange world, she didn’t want to move away from this particular moment just yet. ”Can I ask you something?” she started quietly with her arms still wrapped around the man she loved, ”Does this mean that you will no longer return home to search for your missing memories?” she finally took a step back and gave him a stern look, ”Because you can’t do that Warrior, of course I enjoy being by your side, but your own life is important as well.” saying that he pretty much lived for her was extremely sweet and heartwarming, and she hadn’t thought of the implications of what he’d said until now, but now that she thought about it, she wanted to make it very clear that she wouldn’t stand for something like that. His own life was just as important as hers, and finding his memories was something he really had to do in order to figure out who he truly was. ”So promise me you won’t give up on that, please?” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 1020 Tagged: Warrior of Light <3 Location: Kilika Island Outfit: Regular Notes: Feel free to godmod them going places in your next post.

Who would’ve thought that getting attacked by a hoard of manikins, not to mention almost dying, could’ve brought up something like this? All the near death experiences that Warrior started to tally up really did make him realize how precious the little things in life were, how important those special people really were. Maybe that was what had pushed his emotions forward, what made him so bold as to talk to Cosmos calmly and rather logically, even though it had practically put his nerves into countless knots and tangles, it was all worth it in the end, especially with her smiling and being just as happy as he felt. It was nice to express emotions every now and then, normally this warrior was quiet and more focused on the battles ahead rather than the important things of right now…today, he was a completely different story. Here he was smiling, laughing and even joking around slightly with Cosmos, one might say his attitude took a complete change right here, but it was just one of those happy moments everyone had from time to time…still, it was enjoyable.
With a tiny smirk of amusement at the blond, Warrior shook his head slightly and chuckled silently more to himself. “Okay, okay. I’ll behave.” He said giving her a sincere and less comedic smile. Holding onto her though, that was one of the greatest and most rewarding feelings he could’ve ever imagined. For a knight of his rank, you’d think winning the toughest battle would be the moment of glory, but…this had to top all of those moments, leaving them in the dust. He could’ve stayed here for most of the day if it was possible, but just because some feelings and thoughts had been spilled, didn’t mean the exploring of this ‘Spira’, or better yet, Kilika, needed to come to a screeching halt. Nope, they could continue onwards, casually and pretty comfortable with one another. Though the occasional goofy smile may occur seeing as these two very adult figures were acting like lovestruck teenagers. It wasn’t something you saw every day.
Anyways! Holding onto Cosmos…
After he had spoken up, Warrior listened for her reply and smiled at it. What wasn’t there to smile about? When Cosmos did ask him if she could ask him something, he didn’t move, but his expression became questionable, curious in all sorts of ways. “Yes, of course.” He replied quietly, listening intensively and waiting to see what it was she had to ask, it sounded rather important already, but the moment was still very much alive, otherwise she wouldn’t still be holding onto him, just as he was holding onto her. Her question…it wasn’t something he’d really thought about, his memories that were long gone. It was something he still wanted to find, to know more about himself and who he was before he met Cosmos, of course he wasn’t going to throw all of that away. As she stepped back and gave him a stern look, the Warrior of Light simply nodded some, giving her an assuring look along with it. A small smile did form on his lips, appreciating the concern and words she was expressing to him. It was nice to know someone cared, and even though there was that other person you wanted to be with all the time…sometimes there was other duties that needed tending to. “Don’t worry Cosmos, I won’t give up on my memories, you can be sure of that.”
Holding out an arm for her to go first, continuing their little exploration of the area, Warrior just kept glancing around him, taking in the pretty scenery. It just made the moment complete. Though this town was small and mostly surrounded by water, it was still interesting enough. How could someone build their homes on top of water? It was amazing the different things people could do on different worlds. Heading away from the village itself to a more foresty area, Warrior simply kept behind Cosmos for the most part, he wanted to make sure she was still protected, but also getting to see what she wanted to instead of having to gaze at his back the entire time. “It’s very nice out here. Kind of interesting and different, don’t you think? You know, there are many other worlds out there, so should you feel the urge to go exploring elsewhere, I’d be more than happy to accompany you. Perhaps…I can show you my home world sometime.” He commented almost shyly as he started to think about his own world, the town he was from, Cornelia…it was then he started getting lost in his thoughts of what was, and what could be.
Warrior didn’t even notice any portals forming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 909 Muse: Great! Tagged: Cosmos Wearing: Already linked Listening To: Nothing important Notes: <3 Hope this was okay. They need to get separated for those other threads, yes?

Upon hearing the Warrior of Light confirm that he was still going to keep looking for his lost memories, Cosmos merely sighed. “That’s good…” she spoke softly as she stepped further back. Now that that was out of the way, perhaps they could go back to exploring this world some more, both of them seemed very interested in doing so, after all, and they needed to get to it before sundown, lest they get lost in the woods and be forced to sleep in a tree or whatever. With a graceful little bow, she walked past Warrior and away from the village, stepping onto the main island instead. The change of terrain was rather nice. Feeling the earth beneath your feet definitely felt more pleasant than walking on hard wooden planks, but that might just be because she wasn’t used to it. Then again, she wasn’t exactly used to walking on earth either… in fact, she wasn’t used to walking, period. When one could float, why would they ever walk? Especially when the floor of your home was made of water which would just get your clothes wet, making them feel a lot heavier than they actually were. Their path wasn’t the only nice change though. Even though the village itself was lovely, being in this foresty area was somehow even better, it was calm and peaceful here, and there was a lot to look at; sky high trees, colorful flowers, and even a few strange monkeys could be seen running along the treetops.
“It is!” she agreed instantly as her eyes remained glued on the monkeys, who seemed to have taken notice of the two strange humans below them as well, and were now curiously looking down at them while munching on some small fruits. “This place is just wonderful, beyond anything I could’ve imagined…” she’d seen some flashes of different worlds before when checking up on her warriors, but those flashes had been mostly distorted because Cosmos had never been truly interested in focusing on the worlds, her main interest had been her warriors, who always appeared to her as crisp and clean images because her mind was focused on them. Being here now, she realized just how much she’d missed out on. Then again, images didn’t compare to the real thing. She understood that now, or was starting to understand it, anyway. Cosmos nodded slowly when he informed her that he’d accompany her if she ever wished to explore another world. It was nice to know that she wouldn’t be visiting them alone, and seeing as how much she was enjoying herself here, there was a good chance that she’d take him up on his offer. “Ah… I’d like that, actually,” she awkwardly moved a few strands of hair behind her ear as she took her attention off the monkeys and looked ahead, down the road, once more, “I would very much enjoy seeing your world. I’d like to know where you go when you’re not… you know… fighting in one of my cycles…” she giggled, "And you know, since you've seen mine, it's only fair I see yours, no?" those cycles really were quite something, weren’t they? They got in the way of everything good and pleasant in this world, and Cosmos couldn’t help but hate them for it. Still, it wasn’t like she could just walk away… even if she wanted to. Much like Warrior, Cosmos also quieted down and was lost in her own thoughts for a while.
Sometimes, she wondered if Cid hadn’t made a mistake in giving her the feelings and memories of his own wife. After all, while it made it easier for her to understand the needs of her warriors, it also meant that she had human wishes and desires, it also meant that like any human, an endless cycle like this would eventually wear her out. It hadn’t happened yet, not really, but Cosmos had already started to feel the weight of her responsibilities a few cycles ago, and those feelings of weariness and annoyance had only grown overtime, and now that she was here? On a normal human world? And seeing what lives normal people lead? It was sure to speed up the process. One of these days, she’d really need to sit down by herself and refocus on everything she was fighting for, she needed to give herself a peptalk, so to speak, so she could continue to fight Chaos for however much longer it would take. The goddess sighed a little and stopped walking, turning back to Warrior to make some more small talk, but as she looked at him… something seemed very off. Was she moving away from him? But she was standing perfectly still… As she turned back around, her eyes widened and her feet instantly tried to push her away from the vortex that was slowly but surely drawing her in. “W-Warrior?” she called in a slight panic when she realized that no matter how hard she pushed away, the force continued to draw her towards the portal without any delay, and the closer she got, the faster she was pulled in.
With a shriek, she was suddenly yanked off her feet and into the portal, her head turned back just in time to see Warrior’s face disappear from her view before everything around her went dark, and her whole body felt like it was doing flip flops (and not pleasant ones), as the portal took her away from Spira and Warrior and took here… wherever it would take her. Cosmos really had no idea where she’d end up. As soon as she thought about that though, a world suddenly formed around her, a sky and a gentle breeze and all included. Spinning around in all directions to search for the portal she’d just travelled through, Cosmos came to the startling revelation that it had disappeared. It was like it had never existed at all. But if the portal was gone… where was Warrior? The goddess of harmony wrapped her arms around herself and looked around with fearful eyes. Now what would she do? Being trapped on another world wasn’t so horrible so long as you had someone with you… but now? Now she was all alone, and it terrified her. Rather than moving towards the city she spotted in the distance, Cosmos remained rooted down in her spot. Maybe the portal would reappear, and Warrior would come out of it. She had to wait for him, just in case that happened. But perhaps that was just hopeful thinking. Without hope though, she’d be completely lost. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 1103 Tagged: Warrior of Light <3 Location: Kilika Island/Gran Pulse Outfit: Regular Notes: She's just going to stand there looking like a pretty damsel in distress until he comes to save her sexy ass. Yes, Warrior would continue his search for his memories. No one could make him stop that search, it was very important to him, and no matter who came and went from his life – not that he expected Cosmos to ever leave his life – he’d continue the search, hopefully with more answers than the ones he had now, which was close to none. With a small sigh at the subject, it was like grasping at straws to understand what he really was, who he was…why he was here. There wasn’t anything he could really do about it, but simply wander around and try to find things that would click in his mind. So far, he’d been so busy with cycles, portals and other things that just ate up all of his time, as saddening as it was to lack memories…Warrior wasn’t sure what it was he would find out about himself, would it be worth the search? He sure hoped so, especially since he would be going through so much trouble just to uncover a bit of his past.
Continuing onwards though, Warrior let his gaze wander, smiling as he did so. This place really was quite unique, he’d never seen anything like it before, even with his few travels between worlds and what not. It was definitely one of a kind and Cosmos seemed to like it. The chipper tone of hers told Warrior that clearly, he was pretty impressed with Kilika as well, but since he was so distracted, he wasn’t really watching anything other than the scenery. “It’s got quite the view.” He admitted briefly, letting his eyes search the different plants, flowers and other scenes of nature that Spira had to offer. If only he could remember this place forever, of course there were other places to see, and taking Cosmos to his own world sounded like quite the idea. He couldn’t say much about his past, but he could at least show her the world he had grown to know as his home. He could show her the marketplace, show her the castle in the short distance of Cornelia where Princess Sarah lived, she could show her just about anything and everything he knew about in that world of his, if only she were willing to travel beyond Spira and Order’s Sanctuary.
“It does seem pretty fair. I can show you all of the views in Cornelia. It’s a lot prettier than people give it credit for.” Warrior admitted sheepishly, turning and examining a weird looking plant before carrying onwards down the path, slow steps, but when he stopped on the trail and began to look at more interesting and odd looking things, he then felt something twist around in the pit of his stomach. It was a sickening feeling, but when Cosmos said his name with hesitation, he knew something was wrong then. Grabbing at his sword and pulling it from his sheath and wondering if his lack of armor was a good idea, he turned and watched Cosmos become engulfed by the portal. Thinking he could make it just in time to grab her hand or arm, he ran, blade still in one hand as he leapt and reached his free hand after her, becoming engulfed by the portal as well. At least he’d made it through the same portal, right? It still wasn’t much of a ride, the flopping around in his stomach hadn’t stopped, it was basically free falling at the way he’d jumped into the portal, but when it finally opened up, he landed on the ground hard, sword clanking out of his hand as his face had hit the dirt rather hard.
“Cosmos!” Warrior spoke out quickly as he pushed his palms against the ground, pushing himself up and looking around where he was. It was dark, nighttime, and he seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. The portal had closed after it spit him out, and he didn’t see any signs of his golden goddess. With a worried look on his face and a bit out of breath, he scrambled for his sword and charged off in search of Cosmos, the goddess he’d searched so long for and now that he’d finally found her…he’d lost her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 807 Muse: Great!
