Well there was no winning with Cater no matter what Rem said on the subject of Kurasame. Oh well, that was how things were just going to be. She couldn’t blame the redhead either, Arecia was her mother, and of course all of Class Zero – aside from herself and Machina – would feel a bit of bitterness towards the new instructor for replacing their mother, but there wasn’t much any of them could do right now. They were just going to have to suck it up and learn to like the guy. Shrugging at Cater, she wasn’t sure what to do to add a few words of wisdom or anything, all she knew was Kurasame wasn’t as bad as everyone claimed him to be, but she also understood the other student’s point of view. “Things will work out, I think.” She shrugged once more before the best topic of the entire evening floated in the air. Nine. Pranking. And Rem and Cater being the ones responsible. Oh ho ho! Was this going to be fun or what?!
Fun. Definitely fun.
With a bit of a mischievous smile on her face, Rem was wide awake, ready to prank and ready to have some fun while doing so. She almost leaped off the bed to start digging through her bag she was so excited. Never had she done something like this before, everyone thought of her to be the innocent one, a goody two shoes, a horrible liar and what not, as if she could do no wrong, oh how silly those people were. With Cater as her pranking mentor, the soon to be dynamic duo would be a force no one would expect. There was one speed bump to consider while pranking Nine. His dorm mate. King. At least those two had a bigger dorm and had separate rooms within their dorm, it was kind of like a tiny apartment, they sure were lucky. Rem and Deuce shared a small dorm with one bedroom and what not, but that was okay, she didn’t mind the younger girl, but perhaps it was good that King and Nine had their own rooms, otherwise she was sure King would go grey haired or rip his entire mullet out with having to actually LIVE in the same room as Nine all the time, all day, every day. She could just imagine it.
“Oh I don’t think King will be a burden.” She insisted once more, still digging through her bag and seeming far too excited for this. With a bright and beaming smile, Rem lifted herself off the ground carefully, making sure she didn’t drop anything, otherwise the entire contents of girly things in her arms would go flying. With Cater’s added enthusiasm, Rem felt her heart flutter in the excitement of it all. This was adrenaline, because if you were caught during this specific prank, you would bet there would be hell to pay…especially from Nine. Welp, this is what he got for throwing fake spiders at her. What goes around comes around buddy!
Walking out the door that Cater had opened, she gazed down the hall and continued to feel that jittery adrenaline roll through her veins. This was exciting, especially for someone as quiet and conservative as Rem seemed to be. This really was fun, she thought that her and Cater ought to have sleepovers more often, because this was just downright exciting. Following Cater, Rem nodded at her and just couldn’t wipe the smirk off of her face as she trailed behind the younger redhead. Gazing through the hallways as they trotted around with items in their arms, she watched as the boys dorms came up. Hopefully Nine was even asleep, but she imagined so, and if he wasn’t they’d come back later, hopefully King was in one of those moods where he didn’t mind assisting a bit, he’d be like…their watch dog for now. If he was in that kind of mood of course. Taking a few extra quick steps to catch up to Cater, she gazed at one door, it lead to King and Nine’s dorm. Rem felt her heart beat start to race as she felt giggly and giddy, giving Cater a nod, Rem strode up to the door, adjusting the things in her arms to try and get a fist able to knock lightly on the dorm. “I’ll take care of King.” She said with a beaming smile. “Just smile and be polite to him, and he should be on our side!” she added confidently.
The door opened and just as expected, there stood the tall blonde gunner. He was already dressed down from his uniform, in pajama’s just like the girls and he gave them a surprised look, eyeing the contents in their hands. Rem simply smiled and gave him a small nod. “Evening, King. How are you?” King raised an eyebrow at both girls, unable to understand what it was they were doing here. If they thought they were going to play around with his hair…they were wrong. “Rem, Cater. Can I uh….help you with something?” He asked rubbing the back of his neck. With the sweetest smile and tone Rem could possibly muster. “Cater and I were wondering if Nine was asleep…” The look on King’s face wasn’t all that great, it wasn’t convincing that he understood what was going on, but something told Rem that he was catching on very quickly. “He crashed awhile ago. Up to your pranks again, Cater?” King let his eyes rest on the redhead as he opened the door a bit more, being nice to them and letting them get their way, getting into the dorm…complete. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 1067 Muse: Great! Cater was excited to get this show going. The idea of pranking someone like Nine was very amusing indeed. Poor Nine, he was just such an easy target for this kind of thing. Picking on mommy's little boy was just so funny. It wasn't out of a grudge against him in any way. If anything, this was just the usual sibling teasing thing that happened amongst the class now and then. Rem was getting to experience it for herself for a change and see how things were amongst them all.
Rem and Machina had joined them late but they were already fitting into their group. Already, they were acting like family and Cater was happy to have a fellow lady prankster. She would definitely show Rem the ropes and then the rest of the class would be sorry those two ever became a duo! All of it started with Nine, Rem's first ever victim! This would be a night to celebrate!
Cater just hoped King would be more on the lenient side tonight rather than the "motherly" nag side. Any mischief the members were going to cause and he caught wind of it, King was always there with his hands on his hips and correcting them all. Considering his appearance, most out of class members never really wanted to cross King but he wasn't a bad guy. He was really a big softy but Cater wasn't about to go spreading that anywhere. It was amusing to everyone from Class Zero seeing someone frightful of King that wasn't a part of their class. King and Nine usually were a good preventative when it came to being confronted by others.
Generally, Class Zero was usually respected well enough but there were jerks now and then that were dumb enough to confront the class. King and Nine, Nine because of his reputation and King just because of his appearance often prevented that kind of thing. Them being around usually made those trying to be jerks back off and lose heart of an actual fight. It was great to be a member of Class Zero. Cater was happy to know everyone in it. They were the cream of the crop alright!
When they reached the door to King's and Nine's dorm, Cater's heart beat quickened. Surely, if King was feeling all "mother" mode, he wouldn't be letting them in anytime soon. As Rem walked up to the door, knocking on it stating that she'd handle King, Cater lightly bit her own lip as she watched. Would he tell Nine if they had tried only for him to send them back? Or would he just help them indirectly? If so, that would be all the more amusing. Poor Nine can't get a wink of sleep without someone trying to do him in. Of course, in the sense of fun and not actual ill intent. Everyone backed each other up in the halls whenever they saw one of their own was in a pickle. Even Nine would have his back watched by the others despite the fact he sometimes caused his own problems.
Hearing Rem's words about how to handle King, Cater shrugged and guessed she would go with it. It was worth a shot so Cater gave Rem the benefit of the doubt with this. Once King answered the door, Cater was all smiles and restrained herself from making any of her usual remarks she had a habit of making. Cater never tended to hold back whenever her mind came to something. Her direct way of speaking often caught people off guard and insulted people. She couldn't help the fact she was honest. The way she saw it, why should she bother beating around the bush? You only got to live once in life so live it to the fullest!
King was warily eying the things they had in their hands. Cater was almost tempted to tell them they weren't about to be used on him so long as he went with it but she knew better. Making idle remarks like that would only make King shut the door on them. "Evening, King!" she chimed in right after Rem. It didn't take him long to ask them suspiciously if he could help them with something. Cater stayed put, letting Rem do all the talking.
Rem asked if Nine was sleeping. King seemed to be catching on pretty quickly and immediately his eyes drifted onto Cater when he answered. According to him, Nine had fallen asleep some time ago. So, so far he must be out of it well enough for them to prank him and be off before he was any the wiser. When he asked her if she was up to her usual pranks again, Cater smiled back at him as he opened the door more to allow them in. It was deeply amusing to know King was actually letting them in. Nine must've pestered King enough times this week for him to be letting them both in like this.
"Oh, you know how it is, King. Showing Rem the ropes here. Seeing as Nine likes to sleep like a log, might as well start with him before I show her the harder to prank people like Carla!" she mused, walking in. Due to the blue haired merchant's schemes, Cater was one of the ones that was constantly getting back at her. It was like her duty to get on Carla's case for getting on their's and most appreciated the fact some like Cater went after Carla like they did. Naghi was also right up there on the list too.
"Thank you, King!" she said with a smile as they both walked in. Poor Nine! The 'make over' operation was about to begin!

King was in one of those moods that he didn’t really care what happened to Nine when it was Cater involved. Rem figured this was a great opportunity, and because he was being so nice as to let them into his and Nine’s dorm, well, she’d have to thank him later. With a bright smile in the blonde’s direction, Rem then shot a glance at Cater, who was being quite pleasant to him as well, perfect. They had this prank in the palms of their hands, but Rem had to wonder what it was that Nine had done to make King lenient about letting Cater and Rem into the dorm in the first place, maybe she could ask later, but instead of risking Nine waking up at any time, Rem wanted to get this makeover done and over with. “Just having a bit of harmless fun, you know.” Rem chimed in as the two girls were let into the dorm. Now it was time to get started. With her arms full of stuff, she looked to King who gestured towards Nine’s room and then went about his own business, whatever that was.
“Alright, let’s go.” Rem said oh so softly as she crept to Nine’s door and nudged it open with her shoulder since her hands were full. Peeking inside, she saw the dragoon laying there like a bump on a log, not moving, and snoring. He was asleep and there would be no waking him up. He really did sleep like a log, which was good for both girls. With the urge to giggle or something, squee and stuff, Rem held her breath slightly as she glanced over her shoulder at Cater and just gave her a wide and excited smile. She’d never done anything like this before, and already she was feeling a sense of adrenaline rush through her veins, it was kind of fun! They’d definitely have to do this again sometime, and knowing Cater, she’d always be up for another prank. Hmm, maybe like she had said earlier to King, maybe they could prank Carla sometime! That dragoon with her over priced items, her grudge against class zero, AND THAT BLOG. She really was going to get what was coming to her, and this was coming from sweet little Rem, that sure was saying a lot.
Carefully and quietly setting her item’s down at the foot of Nine’s bed, Rem rummaged through the items she had brought and she pulled out a few hair ties, a few clips with bows on them and then in her other hand was a can of hairspray. She turned to Cater with a puppy-ish look on her face, anxiously waiting to the teacher’s instructions. Cater was the master after all, she knew pranks inside and out. “Where do we start?” Rem asked in a very quiet whisper as Nine’s snoring seemed to increase in volume, they would be perfectly okay to talk in a small whisper, and so long as they got everything done, makeup, hair all that jazz, Rem would be happy. Hell, she even had a little note she wanted to leave for the dragoon, just so when he woke up he was greeted with something nice and heartwarming from Rem. “I think he’d look good in a bow…or two, or a dozen.” She grinned happily in the darkness of this cluttered room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 669 Muse: Great! Cater had to wonder just what happened between Nine and King. Nine must've really done something to make King in such a lenient mood to be permitting them to enter their dorm. Knowing Nine, it could be his usual. Nine didn't exactly have a great track record when it came to social skills. Even still, his classmates would defend him. Even if he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed and might get on their nerves once in a while, he was still considered family. Class Zero's members always thought of each other like family.
She gave a nod as Rem spoke, stating they were just having a bit of fun. Really, they didn't plan on breaking anything of their's. The only thing that would be broken would be Nine's pride when he woke up and found out what they did to him. Cater was eager to get to Nine's room already and get this started. If they wasted anymore time with idle chat, the lance wielder might wake up and then their plans would be ruined, dying a premature death.
Upon Rem's beckoning, Cater gave her a nod and a mischievous grin as they headed towards Nine's door. She watched with bated breath as Rem nudged the door open with her shoulder and peered inside. Craning her neck to get a look at him, Cater had to bite her lip to keep herself from giggling. Nine's snoring could wake up the dead and the position he was sleeping in was comical. He really did look like a log with how soundly he was sleeping.
Just as silently, Cater crept into the room along with Rem, settling her items down soundlessly. She turned to Rem as the usually innocent girl questioned her as to where they would begin. Considering Nine for a moment, he wasn't turned over just yet for them to get at his face without the potential of him waking up in the middle of the make over. The best place to start would be his hair. Rem already seemed to have the right mindset. She was a natural! Either that or she had really really good beginner's luck. Only time would tell here.
Cater smirked before whispering back to her. "We can definitely start with his hair! If we did the face first, considering the position he's in, there's a chance he might wake up on us. So yeah, the hair first!" she agreed. As for how many bows, Cater had to cover her mouth to keep herself from letting out a giggle but did make silent one anyway. Recovering, pulling her hand away from her face, she replied. "We should put as many as it takes to make him pretty!" she said, emphasizing the last word like she was speaking of some sort of evil sentence for Nine's fate.
With that, Cater bent down to grab some of the hair accessories she brought as well. There were girlie clips like pink butterfly clips that were once a fad that died out as quickly as it had started. This would be a perfect opportunity to use them now that Cater no longer had any use for them. Quietly, Cater approached the slumbering Nine and motioned for Rem to come over as well. Operation Makeover Nine, begin!

Rem just had to resist the urge to laugh, to giggle and smile so wide…this was all too fun, and they hadn’t even done anything yet! She had a smile a mile wide on her face as she and Cater entered the disastrous room that belonged to Nine. Stepping over clothes, unopened textbooks and anything else he could collect in here, Rem had put a nice neat pile of her items at the end of the dragoon’s bed, rubbing her hands together and speaking quietly, wanting to know where to start first. Of course the hair would be fun, they had tons of clips and bows to stash that thing…it would take him hours to pull the bows out, especially with his horrible temper. Snickering quietly as she looked to Cater – her new pranking mentor – and nodded happily. “Okay, the hair gets done first. I brought some hair spray…just to make sure everything stays.” She said with another nod, grabbing a handful of clips and bows, as well as the hairspray can.
Carefully as she held her breath, she set the can down, plucked up some of Nines hair and stuck the bow on it, hearing his snore increase loudly after she let go, she froze for a moment before his snores went back to normal. Feeling the adrenealine rush through her body as she started quickly placing in clip after bow after clip and again…she put a quick spritz of spray on his hair and smiled, her cheeks would hurt after this from smiling so much. Burying some of the clips in his hair, she then turned to Cater, freezing again as he rolled over to lay on his back, his head and hair full of clips and bows, his entire head was covered, it was an amazing sight. Rem wished she could take a picture after all of this was said and done, but that would probably wake him up, perhaps she could talk King into doing something for her, like getting a picture when he woke up or something. That would be something worth keeping and treasuring forever…Nine getting punked by a couple of small girls.
“Cater, we should start the makeup process. I think pink would be a great color on Nine…or blue…neon blue, electrifying blue.” She grinned almost evilly as she reached for her pile of things, pulling a lip stick tube from it, a deep shade of red twirled out as she then made a small excited noise, looking at Cater once more for approval as she neared the sleeping dragoon’s face, gently tapping and grazing the lipstick against his lips, he didn’t dare move…he simply snored and slept. His own snores were probably drowning out the fact that they were getting him pretty good here. After the lipstick was taken care of, Rem backed off a few steps, a somewhat serious look on her face. “You…can take care of the rest of the face, I’m sure you’d know how to accentuate Nine’s…inner beauty through makeup better than I could.” She said clasping her hands together along with the lipstick tube still in her hands. She couldn’t wait to hear about his reaction to this, she’d have to catch up with King or even Seven sometime tomorrow and see what happened.
Feeling something against her leg them, Rem turned and looked down, spotting a small grey kitten. It was King’s cat, Raion or something, smiling, she tossed the lipstick tube to the smaller pile of supplies and bent down to pick up the kitten, nuzzling at her cheek and stuff for the attention, she stroked the cat’s head. “Hey little guy, being in here could be danger-“ an idea hit her. Nine hated this cat, he loathed it…perhaps King’s little buddy here could prove to be of some assistance before Rem and Cater decided it was time to skedaddle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 760 Muse: Great! As they began poor Nine's makeover, Cater felt a smile creep upon her face nearly as large as Rem's. This sort of thing never got old for her. Pranking people, especially guys bigger than herself, was especially amusing. Cater hoped that she would catch a glimpse of the aftermath. Nine might not notice anything was wrong unless he bothered to take a look in the mirror before he left the dorm room. If not, then it was going to be even funnier to see what damage was done.
While Rem busied with the hair, Cater picked up some tufts of Nine's hair as well and helped her with getting it done faster. Nine's loud snore startled them enough to take pause though. Once his snores returned to normal, they resumed adding bows and clips into his hair. Cater especially made sure to put two demeaning hot pink butterfly ones that wiggled their wings if you moved on the center of the top of his head.
During their hair endeavor, he finally rolled over onto his back. Now, they had full access to his face. A perfect opportunity to get his facial done! Cater looked over at Rem when she suggested they could get that done next. "Electrifying blue is just perfect!" she giggled. Where pink was a demeaning color on a guy, bright bright blue could be just as bad. It drew more attention than hot pink would.
Cater watched carefully as Rem put lipstick on Nine's lips with ease. Nine didn't seem to notice the sensation of something being placed on his lips. Oh, this was going to be good! Trying hard not to laugh, Cater nodded her head when Rem stated that it was her turn with the rest of the face. Poor Nine wasn't going to be happy when he woke up the next day. Cater and Rem better watch out tomorrow because he'd most likely chase them around the school once he figured out who was responsible. That is, if they didn't leave any notes behind to say who had pranked him.
"Alright, let's see here..." she trailed off, whispering. Picking up eye shadow, electrifying blue, Cater grinned impishly as she put one on his right eye and then the left. Sitting back and looking at her handiwork, she had to really fight down a laugh. He looked so funny! Next, it was time to do the blush. Taking out electrifying blue for this too, Cater dabbed it on both of his cheeks. At one point, Nine scrunched up his nose but did nothing when she took pause and waited. Letting out a silent breath of relief, she took out the mascara and the eyeliner.
By the time she was done, Nine looked like a girl that didn't know how to wear make up or even put up her hair. Oddly enough though, if it weren't for the scar, face wise he did look rather girlish. Taking out some cover up, Cater plastered it along his scr. At least, for now, if they were going to humiliate him, the least she could do was conceal the scar for the day for him. That might not last for very long though but it was the thought that counted.
When she was finished, she saw that Rem had picked up the kitten. How had he gotten in here? Cater gave Rem a curious look when she cut herself off in midsentence. What was Rem planning? "We just need the nail polish and then we're golden!" she stated.

Cater definitely deserved some thanks after this, as did King who had gladly let them inside to torture Nine while he was sleeping. Boy it was a good thing Rem was on the calmer side of things, otherwise her giggle fits would’ve become an outburst and probably woken up the heavy sleeping dragoon. With a hand pressed up to her lips, she felt her shoulders shake, stepping back and watching Cater apply the makeup. As she watched the electrifying blue go on Nine’s eyelids, her giggles turned into muffled laughter, wondering if he had any idea what was going on, wondering what he was dreaming about, and of course wishing she could catch his reaction in the morning when he woke up looking like the most beautiful man ever. Maybe they’d get lucky and Nine wouldn’t look at himself in the mirror tomorrow! If he walked out of his dorm looking like a lady, then oh god was he going to get embarrassed, this was the best prank ever.
“Cater, he looks so beautiful, he should thank us for this.” Rem giggled as she then noticed the kitten rubbing at her ankles, causing the brunette to lean down and pat the kitten’s head, smiling at it before lifting it up in one arm and stroking it’s head and ears as she continued to watch Cater perform her magic work with makeup. Glancing behind her at the door that was cracked open, she watched it close fairly quickly, a smirky smile appearing on her lips as she figured it was King who had let the cat loose in this room. Boy did he deserve a high five after all of this was over. This was turning out to be one of the best slumber parties Rem had been to in a long time! Cater and her had to do this again sometime soon, except with a new prank in mind and a new victim as well, that was part of the fun, planning the scheme was just as much fun as executing it.
With Cater speaking again, Rem looked down at Nine as he moved around, messing up some of those pretty clips in his hair, but still he was going to be one hot mess when he woke up as it was. Shaking her head slightly, she lifted the kitten slightly, still cradling it close towards her chest. “I think King gave us something better than polish, Cater. Besides, the poor guy probably doesn’t have any polish remover, we don’t want to be overly cruel, this time at least.” She insisted in a sweet tone as she gave Nine another look over. He sure did look pretty, and it was a shame Rem couldn’t get a picture before they fled. Moving towards the foot of the bed, careful not to hook her foot on some the clutter that the dragoon had scattered across his room, Rem lifted up the blanket for a brief moment, setting the kitten down on top of the blanket, making it almost a small nest. “Sleep tight little guy.” Rem said with one final pat on the cat’s head as she whipped around and started over towards Nine’s dresser, grabbing a nearby writing utensil and scrap piece of paper, leaving him a lovely threatening note, with love, signed R. He would know, she wanted him to know.

It was definitely hard not to snicker while they were doing this whole charade. As she applied make up to Nine's face, it was very very hard not to laugh. In a morbid sense, Nine looked almost like a woman with the make up and the bows and clips in his hair. It would be very funny if someone actually mistook him for a woman. While she was doing this, Cater hoped that in the morning, Nine would not bother to check his appearance in the mirror. It would be worth so much more if he did.
As Cater finished, she took a moment to inspect their handiwork. Nine was definitely a beautiful man and not in the good sense. Granted, it was technically a compliment to have such good looks one looked like a girl almost but not like this at all. It was very bad news for poor Nine. Hearing Rem's words, Cater grinned from ear to ear. Turning to her, she gave a nod in agreement.
"He should! It's not every day a guy gets to look this good!" she replied in a whisper.
After a moment, Cater looked at what appeared to be a kitten in Rem's arms. How a kitten got there, she didn't know but it was adorable. Apparently, King had given them the kitten. What the kitten's purpose was in all this was beyond her. Was it to give Nine something to hug in his embarrassment? She wasn't sure what it was but she guessed whatever Rem had in mind was something.
"Alright then." She watched as Rem placed the kitten on top of the blanket telling it to sleep tight before it was time to head out. Gathering their belongings as best she could, Cater followed Rem's lead to the desk. She watched as Rem wrote a letter and had to fight a fit of laughter. Nine would definitely rethink giving innocent Rem a hard time after this episode. Then again, Nine never seemed to learn his lessons very well. No doubt, this wouldn't be the end of the war they just started. Oh well, if it turned out to be a war, Cater and Rem were definitely going to be the ones to finish it.
Hearing Rem's question, Cater took one final look back over at the unsuspecting Nine and grinned mischievously. "Ready as the day I was born!" she answered her. With that, the two of them gathered their things and left. Poor Nine would discover the horror of the prank they just made in the morning. No doubt, his reaction was going to be pure gold. Fin.
