Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." It was in the early afternoon hours of the Peristylium Suzaku Academy. People were already running around to make it to class or wander off to have a lunch break depending on their schedules. Through all the hustle and bustle of the school, a portal randomly ripped open up in the center of the main hall. Both men had no idea that they would find themselves here. In fact, King and Ethan had pretty much gone on a whim and dared to jump through the portal back on that more primitive world.
Landing haphazardly on the hard cobblestone floor, barely cushioned by a red carpet, Ethan let out a small string of curses before pushing himself up. As he did so,he blinked at his new surroundings, rubbing at his sore neck. "Uh...where the hell are we?" Ethan stated, not even sure where he was. He had no clue that this area was King's home world.
As he sat there, Ethan blinked at the cluster of teenagers looking back at him. For the most part, their uniforms resembled what King wore except the scarves were different....or capes, whatever those things were. "Say, King...is this your place?" he inquired, deducting that the uniforms could mean this was King's school. 'Man, do I feel like I've just been forced to go back to school!' he thought, looking back at the students.
Some shied away when his hazel eyes settled on them while others pointed and giggled at them. "What's so funny?" Two Guns asked them, his face pulled into a slight frown. If anything he hated, it was being pointed at and laughed at. Getting up, Ethan brushed himself off. That fall had accumulated a good bit of dust on his clothes. Not that it would really help him much. The only way his suite would be salvaged is if he took it to the cleaners.
If this was King's world, maybe there was a way for him to get back home rather than portal hopping alone? King's world, after all, sounded like it had more technology than that last world. There had to be something that could make his trip him safer, right? Ethan sure hoped so or he was going to have to stay here for a while until they figured things out. He hoped that wouldn't be the case. Ethan didn't want to think what it would be like if he could never find his way back home. As he sat there, someone that was watching them took off as if they were about to go and get someone.
Well, it wasn't to Ethan's surprise that they would draw so much attention. They did just come falling through a portal right in front of everyone. It was to be expected that people would react this way. "I'm glad your people don' just point lances atme like that last world!" Ethan said, somewhat humorously. Oh, the rumors this sort of thing would bring! Ethan had no idea what kind of rumors this would spark amongst the school.

After stepping out of the portal, King rubbed the back of his neck and looked around. The halls were oh so familiar to him. A small smirk of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he nodded slightly in satisfaction. Folding his arms and taking a few steps past Ethan, his eyes gazed at a small cluster of students, mostly girls. Generally the girls would look at him and smile, wave, or try to cling to his waist…but…not today. They seemed to be staring at the dark haired man who had accompanied King through the portal. After blocking out Ethan’s first statement, King finally blinked and tuned back in, turning back towards the Turk and acknowledged his second question. “Mhm, this is the Peristylum Suzaku, my academy.” King spoke quietly with a small nod at Ethan before gazing back at the group of snickering girls, pointing at both himself and Ethan. He could only imagine what the underclassmen were thinking. They were so immature sometimes.
“Don’t mind them, they’re always…odd.” King shrugged before turning his back on the group of gals, gazing down the hall and slightly at Ethan as he began to think. The first person it would be best to see was Arecia. She might be able to help Ethan out when it came to the portals, otherwise he was kind of clueless as to how to get him back and knowing it would be a safe portal to throw him into. Oh well, Mother was a smart woman, a powerful sorceress, she’d definitely have the answers! Or at least, that’s what King thought. Smirking at Ethan’s next comment, he couldn’t help but let a few chuckles out. His mind instantly went to the dragoon of class zero, Nine. His best friend and roommate. “Ah, I’m not sure about that, depends on where you land.” He said honestly, a small smile still on his face as the mental image of a portal showing up, and Nine getting ready to attack it with his lance. He didn’t doubt that would ever happen, Nine was….well himself. He could easily see the other blonde getting himself into a bit of trouble having tried to attack a portal or someone who had come out of one. Wouldn’t that have been a sight to see?
Shaking his head before gesturing down the hall, King took a step forward and turned his gaze back to Ethan. “We will go speak with Arecia, she’s…she’d know how to get you home, Ethan.” He said with a brief nod, not wanting to go into a ‘she’s my mother’ speech and get a few wisecracks, but as King started to lead them down the hall, he felt a set of small feminine arms wrap around his waist and his face instantly fell to completely irritated. Sighing rather quietly, King turned a bit so he could look down at the creepy underclassman known simply as Kayla. She was a class zero stalker, at least for the men, and he was pretty sure she belonged to and organized fan clubs for each of the guys, from Ace to King himself. Shaking his head and prying the girl off of him by stepping back, he narrowed his eyes on her. “Oh Kingy! I knew you were gone, I heard you were missing from class, so I went to your dorm with some soup because I figured you were sick…but you weren’t there! After I was done going through yours and Nine’s rooms, I went around trying to find you.” The girl babbled and King shot a glance at the Turk over his shoulder, his look was irritated mixed with apologetic before a giant highpitched and rather annoying squeal squeaked from the girl. “OH! And who is your friend?! Nice hair, dude! You’re kinda cute, you a new stud-“ “Kayla aren’t you late for class?” King interrupted her hoping she’d just get lost. “You are so right, King. We can finish this conversation later! Bye King and…new guy!” and with that...the infamous Kayla fled.
“I am…sorry.” King said in a frustrated tone before rubbing a hand through his mullet. Back to the hand on task before Kayla decided to skip class and stalk them both. That would be a real nightmare, honestly…King would rather take the spears than deal with the creepy man stalker. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 852 Muse: Great! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan looked back over to King when he confirmed that this area was, indeed, King's homeworld. Well, that was a good sign. They at least made it to somewhere familiar. Although, Ethan could do without the crowd of gawking and giggling girls. Honestly, with two good looking guys falling in the school's midst, this sort of thing was bound to happen. "Heh, great! Glad we made it to your home then." Now, Ethan would just have to figure out how to get back home. Hopefully their technology was better here to help him get home instead of portal hopping again.
King seemed to notice by Ethan's remark that he was a little bothered by the attention they were getting. He glanced over at King when he went on to state that he really shouldn't mind them and that they were always a bit odd. "Ah,okay then!" he replied, getting to his feet and brushing himself off if he hadn't already. While he did this, he focused more on the teenager he had accompanied here than the gawking crowd that had formed. He couldn't help but wonder on the remark that King had made about where one landed. Did he know something he didn't? Well, that was a given. King lived here, after all.
"Guess so..." he trailed off. King made a gesture toward a certain hall, taking a step forward toward it before turning back to Ethan. The Turk tilted his head as King mentioned someone by the name of Arecia. According to King, this woman would hopefully be able to help him out. "Alrighty, sounds good ta me!" he agreed. The two had started off when, quite suddenly a girl appeared on the scene and wrapped her arms about King's waist. Ethan couldn't help but slowly raise an eyebrow curiously. Was this some kind of girlfriend? The look on King's face though, when he discovered the girl, seemed rather sour.
What the girl said next though was enough to help Ethan see exactly why. This girl sounded like some sort of stalker or clingy person that just didn't realize the guy didn't like her. The fact that she went through his and someone else's rooms was...creepy. Ethan rose both of his eyebrows as he gave King a look in response to the one he just gave him. Pretty much, Ethan's expression was of confusion and with an obvious trace of the fact that this girl weirded him out. If her attention on King hadn't been bad enough, the fact a girl as young as she turning her sights on him didn't bode well either.
A squeal, rather high pitched, made Ethan jolt a bit before he tried tapping an ear in response to get the hearing back in it. The things the girl said about him, Ethan furrowed his brows at her with confusion and repulsion written all over his face. In his eyes, she was a kid compared to himself. It wasn't right to think of a girl of her age as anything. Besides, he had Elena back at home that he secretly had a thing for. Ethan loved blondes and Elena fit the bill.
"...Erm...I uh..." Ethan wasn't really sure how to respond to this young girl. It was all thanks to King that her attention was taken off of him. Ethan couldn't help but feel grateful for King's interruption. He gave him a thankful glance as the girl, apparently named Kayla, agreed to what King said. It was a lucky thing for the two of them that Kayla had a class to go to. If not, this situation might've worsened. He watched as she went, bidding them farewell.
When she took her leave of them, Ethan rose a brow as he looked back over at King when he spoke. He was apologizing over that little incident. "It's no' your fault." Really, it wasn't King's fault that they had to put up with that. "Jus' glad she's gone!" he stated with a smirk. Seeing King pass a hand through his mullet, the Turk decided now might be a good idea to focus on heading down that hall again before that girl decided that she'd rather skip classes.
"So uh...down this hall?" he asked King, indicating the hallway from before as he took a step toward it.

It was good that King and Ethan made it somewhere at least familiar, and better yet, the academy. King could lead them around easily without getting lost or worrying about crazy villagers with spears trying to kill them or call them the devil. Gazing around, King figured it wouldn’t be difficult to help Ethan find a portal and get him home safely, after all, they were acquaintances now, it’s what nice people did. Not to mention that people started popping up all the time these days anyways, it was like he should be on portal duty and direct people to the staff of the academy and work on rooming situations. How many people had flown through here already? There was the brown haired man, the one all the girls thought was just so freaking amazing. Noel Kreiss. Then there was the pink haired woman, Lightning, her sister Serah, and a silver haired man named Hope. So far things had been pretty mellow, pretty low key, and that’s how King wanted them to stay. So long as people weren’t trouble makers, then everything would be okay.
Starting down the hallway, King and Ethan had been so horribly interrupted by the school’s very own underage creeper. It was kind of sad, but King was pretty sure this girl was scarier than Mr. Astley, and that sure was saying something, not that he’d ever want the janitor clinging to his waist rather than a girl, or going through his room….okay, how about no one clings to him and no one goes through his stuff? That sounded like the best overall solution. He so badly wanted to tell Kayla to get lost, but he was far from rude, maybe not tolerating her crap, but when she turned to practically hit on Ethan, an older man which would make this even more awkward than it already was, King pressed a palm to his forehead before interrupting and reminding Kayla that she needed to get to class, and she actually listened, surprisingly. Now to get on with this and try to avoid any more creepers…hopefully.
When Kayla skipped away like the little weirdo she was, King stood there, one hand against his waist and the other rubbing the back of his neck as he started at the ground and just wanted to heave a huge sigh of relief or irritation, or both, but he didn’t. He simply apologized for Kayla, and hoped Ethan wouldn’t be too weirded out. Not everyone here was a complete weirdo, but some days King had to wonder how many sane people actually attended the academy. “Yeah, welcome to the everyday life of any man around the school.” King shrugged as he finally looked up at Ethan and decided that there was no harm just yet. Hopefully they never ran into her ever again and things would be alright. Nodding at Ethan while he asked if they were to go down the hall, it was the right way to head if they wanted to get to Arecia’s office, and hopefully she was there, if not they were kind of on their own with this whole portal thing. Not that it’d be too bad even then, they just came and went as they pleased, as did the people that went through them. “Yep, and should your stay last longer than…well should it be that you have to stay here a day or so, the academy will give you a room and anything you need. This isn’t the first time someone from somewhere else has stepped through our doors.” He shrugged once more before starting off down the hall, picking up his pace to sort of take the lead, wandering past a few students who were coming and going to and fro, of course their eyes were fixed on not only King, but the odd haired and suit wearing man that was with him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 742 Muse: Good! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan was very relieved when the girl named Kayla had left them. The fact a younger lady was hitting on him was disturbing. Seriously, hadn't she any self dignity? Then again, with such a creepy way about her, he guessed she was probably desperate because of being deprived of a boyfriend. Not that he cared. She was creepy as hell to be hitting on a guy of his age. He wasn't sure about the laws in this world but he was certain it had to be wrong for someone of her age and someone of his age to even consider such a thing.
That unpleasant feeling in the pit of his stomach went away when the girl actually listened to King when he had interrupted her. Thank the gods that she had left their company. Two Guns wasn't really sure how he would handle such a thing any longer. He respected women but those that threw themselves at you were just sickening.
When King had given him an apology, Ethan just gave a brief incline of his head in response. "It's alrigh'. Not like you coulda prevented that anyway." Really, how could you prevent such a thing from happening? The actions of others had nothing to do with anyone else. They shouldn't be held accountable unless one used some kind of manipulative method on someone to have caused it. No, he didn't blame King for it at all.
Ethan heard the remark about the life of every man that lived here. Bemusedly, Ethan let out a slight snicker. "I can see that!" he mused in response. "She musta been dropped on her head when she was born." There wasn't any way else that he could explain that girl's actions nor would he want to try and figure out why she acted the way she did. It was best to leave that kind of thing well enough alone. He just hoped he could manage to avoid her as much as possible now that he knew this world had a lady creeper.
Once Ethan had gotten confirmation from King that the hall was where they should go, King took the lead. Ethan followed the teenager from the rear, ignoring the glances they were being given. He was used to this kind of reaction but the reactions weren't filled with the usual fear or resentment most felt back on Gaia toward a Turk. Instead, it was merely confusion or awed expressions. Nothing unexpected, just hopefully none of the kids tried anything. Ethan wouldn't want to meet more creepers along the way or what have you.
As they walked, he listened to what else King was saying. Should he have to remain here longer than a day, they would accommodate him. Well, that would be a relief but Ethan wasn't sure if that's how the academy would take it. He at least hoped so. The thought of wandering outside into the further unknown wasn't something he liked the sound of. "Sounds good ta me, really good. Not sure what I'd do wanderin' outside in the unknown."
As they walked, Ethan noted the different scarves students were wearing as opposed to King's. Where students were looking at Ethan, a good number were also looking at King with considerable attention. Was his class famous around here? It gave off that kind of impression. If so, that was cool. It made things feel more familiar between them.
"Ever thought of what goals in life you plan to do once you graduate?" he asked King curiously, just to start some small talk as they walked.

Kayla was an absolute monster. King would be the first to tell you that, along with pretty much every other male in the school. He was sure she hit on, flirted with, and tried to feel up every single man that walked through these doors. She was an official creeper. Even King wondered if she was starting to take too much after Mr. Astley, the school’s creepiest janitor, and if so, maybe she was following into his footsteps a little too closely. Shaking his head some though, King just tried to apologize for the girl’s actions, knowing there was nothing he really could’ve done to warn Ethan about her, he hadn’t really given Kayla so much as any thoughts these days, she didn’t deserve them…she was just…so weird. Made people like Cinque look absolutely normal. “I guess I could’ve told you to run when she first approached.” King grinned slightly, but that was the end of that. Kayla was long gone, and he hoped she stayed that way.
Moving down the hallways, King just gazed at the different students, some looking at him, some looking at Ethan, which was expected. The new comers always got attention, whether they knew it or not, eyes and heads were bound to turn no matter what, it wasn’t all that bad really, no one was rude or said anything, generally the portal people associated with Class Zero more than anything. The respected class of the school generally had more time with the new people and portals than anyone else, they were built for strange times, like war and battles, so knowing anything and everything you were up against was crucial. So far, no one had posed a real threat so new friendships had been made, that was always nice, but someday, King was sure that trend would be broken. Not every single world had just good guys, one day, some sort of messed up mind was bound to waltz through the school doors, and bad things were going to happen. He’d be ready with his dual guns that day, no one threatened his friends or place of residence.
Ethan’s question though, it had caught King off guard a bit. Blinking out of surprise and making a small “Hm?” sound, he turned his gaze towards the suited man and thought back, remembering the question and actually pondering an answer. You know they always talked about kids about what they wanted to be when they grew up, students had to start planning for the future, but honestly, King wasn’t all that sure what he wanted to do. He began thinking about his hobbies, what he was good at. Training, guns, and cooking. Well, wasn’t that quite a variety? Shaking his head a bit and folding his arms, he gave it another long thought before speaking up. “Haven’t really thought about it all that much. A few different ideas have come to mind though. Always thought about going into weaponry, training and stuff. Perhaps even an instructor or trainer here at the academy, but there are other things to choose from I guess, depends on your likes and dislikes.” He shrugged, not really answering, but not having much of an answer to give.
“There aren’t many options these days, at least that claim my interest, guess only time will tell.” He shrugged once more before approaching an office, a young lady looked up and gazed at Ethan before her eyes flickered to King. “Arecia isn’t in right now, but if this is a new guest…who plans on staying here, we can…um…get some sort of living quarters for him?” King shot a glance to Ethan, it was really up to him, if he wasn’t going anytime soon – which all depended on the portals – it was best just to stay put. Hopefully Ethan thought so too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 743 Muse: Pretty good! Tagged: Ethan! Wearing: Class Zero Uniform Listening To: Stuff! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan looked side long at King when he suggested that he could've just told him to run. Ethan wasn't the type to run unless something really scared the shit out of him which didn't happen all that often. However, he saw the joke King was making and chuckled at that. "I can jus' see the reactions on peoples' faces seein' a guy in his twenties runnin' his ass off from a high schooler!" he chortled. If he ever did such a thing, Reno would not let him live to hear the end of it.
As they traveled down the hallway, Ethan watched King as he had asked his question. Did the kid already know what he wanted to do in life? King seemed confused as he went into thought, Ethan walking alongside him down the hallway. He wasn't surprised in the least by King's answer. Most teenagers hadn't a clue about what they wanted to do in life. Ethan didn't exactly have much of a choice himself. He kinda got tugged into his situation ad it only progressed to where it was now.
He never thought of himself becoming a Turk. In fact, Ethan never foresaw himself getting involved with the mafia to begin with. If his sister had still been alive and unharmed, Ethan would've never gone down that road. He would've just been any kid that would turn into a mere street punk out in the slums. Never would he have become a bodyguard to Don Corneo and never would he have left them to become a Turk.
"Heh, that's fine...you're young still so it'll come to ya soon enough." It always did. As they walked, they finally came upon a woman seated at a desk. Ethan looked back at her, unperturbed by the look she was giving him. If anything, he just slightly rose a brow as he looked back at her. Had he seen maybe a trace of uncertainty in her eyes? Or was she finding his hairstyle odd? Well, whatever. Ethan never cared to impress many people. He wore his hair the way he did no matter what someone else thought of it.
Eventually, she turned her gaze onto King, speaking to him. Arecia wasn't here for the time being but she could arrange a room for Ethan to stay for the time being. Rubbing the back of his head, Ethan thought about it for a moment. There really wasn't anywhere else that he could go right now. If he didn't find a portal during the day today, there was no telling what he'd find outside once the school grounds were closed to visitors that weren't staying.
"Uh...yeah, if you don' mind. Don't think I'd like the idea of trying to handle this world's wildlife on my own if I didn't...Not sure how long I'll be stuck here either though."

Ethan sure was a different type of person to get along with. Never before had King met someone like him, kind of reminded him a bit of Nine with the speech thing, but he was friendly enough and clearly not as hot headed as the dragoon, which was a good thing. Two Nine’s wasn’t exactly a blessing, it was more of a curse, that would be the answer anyone would give you should you ask them, especially people like…Kurasame, or Quon Yobatsu. With a small chuckle towards Ethan, King nodded slowly, just letting himself become amused with the thought. Although, Kayla had been known to literally run off all sorts of people, it was only a matter of time before the women of the school charged to her dorm room with pitchforks and torches and ran her out of Rubrum altogether. Now THAT was an image. “She’s ran off plenty of different people before, I don’t think people would be all that surprised.” He gave a small shrug, a shadow of a smile still resting upon his lips as they continued onwards.
The question of what he wanted to do when he grew up, that question you were asked all throughout your life as a student…it sort of caught King off guard. He wasn’t sure what profession he wanted to excel in, most of Class Zero’s talents lay with their fighting skills, but being a soldier didn’t seem like it’d be all that fun in the long run. It’d be battles, death, and horror. King surely didn’t want that, though he’d lend a helping hand should the time call for it, just as he would now being apart of such an elite class. There were a few ideas that came to mind for a profession, one he could actually accomplish was being a chef, if possible. He had to thank Deuce for that one, after having baked with her, he’d sort of gone off on his own and excelled in that topic. Oh well, he could officially decide later, there was still plenty of time. “Yeah, I suppose so. It’s kind of hard these days, different people shoving different ideas and opinions down your throat about everything.” He shrugged before continuing. “It can certainly shed some light or darken a subject.”
Upon reaching some desk worker, King folded his arms across his chest, disappointed that Arecia wasn’t in and couldn’t provide any help for King or his new friend, or whatever you wanted to call him. He simply nodded at the woman, if Ethan didn’t find a portal today, staying at the academy was probably the best option. Turning and shooting a glance at Ethan, he heard his words and nodded alongside them. “I’ll be sure to show him one of the empty rooms.” King informed the woman as she was about to get up and do it herself, but hearing King she eased back into her seat, a friendly smile now appearing on her face. “Alright King, thank you very much.” And with that, King gestured to leave the area with a small nod of his head, turning and leading the way into another hallway before turning and keeping his arms folded yet again. “I’ll show you one of the vacant rooms we have, and should you be staying here for awhile…you can treat the academy like your home. The staff members and other students should be able to help you as well.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 681 Muse: Good! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan nodded at what King said in response to the imagery of Kayla chasing him off. She pretty much chased a lot of people off being the way she was. Apparently, people would be too used to that sort of thing. Well, at least that was some comfort if Ethn couldn't stand running into the girl if he was that unfortunate a second time. Two Guns was never a one to strike a lady so to get away from Kayla, he would run off somewhere in hopes of losing her. "Guess yer right!" he mused in response as they continued onward.
What King said about others pushing down their opinions in someone's throat, Ethan was reminded about his father's and mother's opinions when he was a kid. The only one that urged him to go for what he wanted was his sister. Remembering his sister made Ethan inwardly recoil. It was, to this day, still a touchy subject. His thoughts had darkened to think that it had also been the last talk he ever had with her when she was alive. About where they were going to go in their lives and who they were going to become. Ethan smirked a little grimly at the realization that he had become the very opposite of what he had wanted to be as a kid. 'Didn't think you'd see me becoming this down the road, eh sis?' he thought ruefully.
"Jus' hold your ground. Don't let anyone take away anythin' you're looking to be. It's what..." he trailed off, finding it hard to even mention her. "It's what someone told me when I was your age." He didn't mention that it was his elder sister. It made it less painful that way. He could call the Turk women his sisters but yet he could never talk about his past. He only talked about his times as a Mafia's former bodyguard. Everyone seemed to respect that and never tried delving deeper into his past. Sometimes, Ethan didn't give the nosier ones the chance. He was quick to anger when it came to that subject and he got considerably violent. So much so that no one wanted to dare question him about it. It was just one of those things that made them realize something unpleasant happened in his youth to make him react so violently. It was one of those things that none of the Turks questioned him about anymore because it was best to let him bury the memory.
When they had arrived and spoken with the secretary, Ethan looked over as King stated that he would show him one of the empty rooms. The woman seemed more pleasant when he had said this. She must've been worked hard the past few days and dealt with more than her fair share of new people that weren't of this world for her to be acting the way she did earlier. Ethan dismissed her previous attitude since he could see himself being somewhat similar if he had to deal with a lot of crap at once.
Once King turned to him, Ethan nodded and headed out back into the hallway with him. Hearing King's words, Ethan nodded. "Thanks, King. I appreciate it."

The question had gotten King thinking. What did he want to do when he grew up? Well, he was eighteen now, whatever it was he wanted to do…he needed to decide sometime soon. He was reaching that time in his life where he’d be free from the life of school within a few years or so, he’d be out in the world doing his own thing, but whatever it was…he just wasn’t sure. He wasn’t certain anyone within Class Zero really knew what they wanted to do when they grew up. Hell, for all King knew, Deuce could go off to become some famous musician, Nine could become an athlete – professional javelin throwing of course – Trey could sell hair care products…or…become a politician with all that talking he did…but King? What could he do? He wasn’t exactly known for anything aside from being tall, intimidating and his personality being completely stoic. Where was a career in that line?
Blinking for a second into the air at Ethan’s words, King gave him a short glance before nodding his head, registering the words in his head and appreciating them, no matter what they really meant, he liked them. “Thanks, I’ll do my best to abide by those words.” He said appreciatively as they continued to walk until getting to an office, Arecia being out, and Ethan being totally welcome to stay at the academy. It seemed like this place was turning into a hotel more than a school. Housing all these portal deportees wasn’t a bad thing though, it definitely gave some of the researchers something to work with, someone to ask about the other worlds and about the unstable portals that had been appearing more and more lately. With a slight smirk on his face towards the woman behind the desk, King had graciously offered to show Ethan one of the vacant rooms within the school, rather than have some uninterested woman do the job and be lazy about it, besides…it was the right thing to do instead of ditching the guy here and now. They’d made it here from what…medieval world, whatever it was, and so King had to do his part in helping out this here Turk.
“It’s no problem at all, I just hope you can be well accommodated while you’re here.” King said with a small shrug, turning and starting to lead the way back down the hallway they’d previously walked down to get to the offices. So long as they didn’t run into Kayla, the rest of the day would be good, King should probably lay down some of the ‘rules’ or tips when being around the school, after all, Kayla wasn’t the only scary and dangerous thing to lurk these hallways. Clearing his throat for a moment, he walked briskly, but made sure not to walk too fast so that they had time to talk. “There are a few things you should look out for, not just Kayla. First, there is Kazusa, he is a scientist here and is known to drug people – even students – and do experiments on them. Then there is Mr. Astley, the school’s most feared janitor. I’m not exactly sure how to explain him…we all really just try to keep our distance.” A small shiver went down the spine of the young mulleted teenager. “Other than those select individuals, you should be okay, just…avoid the crazies.” He said that last bit with a genuine smile before stopping outside the door of a room, twisting the knob and gently throwing the door open. “This is it…go on in…” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 705 Muse: Good! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan was relieved that King hadn't noticed anything. It wasn't easy to hide the pain sometimes. When King accepted the words, saying he appreciated it, Ethan nodded his head. "Yer welcome." Too bad that Ethan really couldn't abide by them back then. His only intent turned away from his dream to avenging his sister's death. He got it too but the whole thing had changed him considerably. No longer was he the innocent kid on the street that his sister doted over. Okay, not an angel but a kid that would've probably turned out alright if he hadn't seen what happened to his sister.
As they started out into the hallway, he heard King's words and nodded appreciatively. During their trip, Ethan heard King clear his throat as he began walking more briskly. Two Guns quickened his pace to keep up with the mullet haired teenager as he spoke. He was, by the sound of it, forewarning him of the other individuals that may cause problems.
Hearing about this Kazusa, Ethan couldn't help but put him in the same boat as Hojo in a way. "Okay, watch out for a creepy lookin' scientist like Hojo, got it!" he replied. "Although, I dunno how the hell a school allows it to happen..." he muttered, trailing off some. hen there was a bit about some creepy janitor. "Creepy janitor...got it." Ethan couldn't help but wonder just how many creeps the school had. Already, he was counting three of them.
"Thanks, King, I'll keep that in mind." Finally, they came to a stop before a door. No doubt, this had to be one of the empty rooms. Ethan watched as King opened the door for him and told him to head in. Giving him a nod, Ethan stepped inside. For a school, this was living the high life for a school. The room was pretty well designed and spacey.
"Wow, this is bigger than I thought!" he stated, looking all around. "You guys live a pretty pampered life compared to what we got back at our own schools in my world." Yes, the academy couldn't even compare to this.

King felt pretty good about this, not just because he was being helpful, but because he was also WARNING Ethan about the crazy stuff that happened around here. There was Kazusa, and his tendency to drug students and find that to be mildly amusing as well as experimenting on them, but King had yet to fall victim to this, the key word there was ‘yet’. Hopefully that wouldn’t happen anytime soon, if ever. King wasn’t sure he ever wanted to fall victim to anything around here, there were just too many odd people in this world, even aside from Kazusa. Someone like Mr. Astley sure did make Kazusa look sane and like a gift from above, King was sure he’d rather spend his time around the scientist than the janitor any day. He was sure that anyone and everyone else aside from a good handful of people, would feel the same way he did about the situation.
Walking through the halls, giving off his words of advice for being at the academy, King was glad that Ethan took them into consideration, mentally noting them. At least he was being forewarned rather than getting hit with these things without a single clue as to who or what was behind it. At least he’d already experienced Kayla, the school’s man-hungry creeper…but hopefully that was the only thing that Rubrum’s newest guest had to face until he found a portal that led him to his own world, wherever that was. Oh well, good luck to him once he did find that portal and hopefully it didn’t lead to some random world, not that King would ever really know the fate of his newfound comrade, but still, the hopeful thoughts were still there. King would’ve wanted to head straight home, and luckily the portal leading from that older world did lead to here, hell, it would’ve been better had he not been portaled in the first place! That sure would’ve made things a lot easier for the both of them.
“You’re welcome.” The dual gun wielder commented as they had come up to a door, one of the vacant rooms within the academy that served more for the guests that had been popping up more and more these days. It was nice how welcoming the staff was to these newcomers, so long as they weren’t a sketchy individual, and so long as they had the trust of someone important – Class Zero was fairly important – then they would be good in the long run. “If you should need anything else, that office we were just at should be able to help you. Consider this…a home away from home? It’s fairly large enough.” He gave a slight chuckle, though nothing close to a laugh as Ethan commented about being pampered. “That’s what you get at a high class school like this. Not all of them are quite as extravagant.” King added on before folding his arms across his chest, eyeing the door and figuring it’d be polite to leave Ethan to the room, to get a feel for this place without having a tour guide the entire way. “I’ll see you around, and remember what I said. Watch out for crazy people.” And with that statement reinforced, King took his leave. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 655 Muse: Good!
