Cie’th were still crawling around over there. They were horrible things, so weird. didn’t understand what they were, and why they hadn’t been wiped out sooner. Maybe, if they had, he wouldn’t have to plan an attack. It’s a simple task, for somebody better than me, of course. The blond was standing, thinking over a few things before he spoke to the rest of his party. Ceodore didn’t understand why people expected so much from him. Ok, so his father and mother were quite good fighters, and everybody in his bloodline had been good too. That didn’t mean he was going to be good as well! If anything, he thought of himself as just… ordinary. He was the same as a common soldier, right? He wasn’t like his parents… Not to him, anyway. If anything, he felt was inferior, like he wouldn’t be able to live up to their expectations of him, and others of him. Surely, any plan he did would fail… He just… couldn’t trust his ability to lead everybody through a safe attack. Cie’th were dangerous. They couldn’t be trusted, and they were strange, weird things. Something about them put people off fighting them.[/size]
Looking between the floor and his party, Ceodore released a small sigh. What was he to do? Admit defeat this early in the game, or try? Try and have a chance of either succeeding or failing. Either way had a flaw, but it was always better to try and fail, than to never to try and regret it. He raised a hand to his upper lip in thought. He wasn’t sure what to do. It was dangerous! And awfully risky. But, then again… what was life without even just a bit of risk? With risk, with gambling things, you could always win. Possibility, probability, chances. He hummed, before dropping his hands by his sides. Maybe… maybe he could try. Maybe, if he tried, he could improve, and prove himself to the others! Slamming his fist against his palm, he nodded to himself. Ok, maybe he could do this. It was in his blood… right? Ceodore released a small breath, before facing his party. Did they trust him? He had never actually, really asked them. Or if he had, he couldn’t remember their reaction, if they had reacted, of course. He looked between each of them. If they all worked together, those things wouldn’t even a chance. Surely, that part had to be true!
Maybe… it was time he started to believe in himself. His parents did, and Wedge did, after all, and so did others. Ceodore just needed to believe in himself… and then, maybe he would become a better fighter, and live up to everybody’s expectations of him. ”Ok, so, when we get to the watchtower, we will split up, and surround the enemy. That will give us a better chance of defeating them. We can’t let them use our own strategy against ourselves, ok?” Watching them all nod to him boosted his confidence. They believed in him too. The only problem was his own self-belief. But now? Ceodore was hoping to change that. He looked at the watchtower through the corner of his eye. Yeah, those monsters wouldn’t have a chance against them. They had the upper hand, the advantage. He rested his right hand on the hilt of his sword. ”Ok. Let’s go!”
