1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Chloe's mother left when she was very young, she doesn't remember but her father used to tell all sorts of stories about her. Apparently she was a beautiful woman, just like Chloe and had that need to wander for adventure, Chloe thought he was simply making excuses for her and never really gave much attention for her mother who simply was never there. She felt no need to find her, nor care about the fact that she didn't have a mom, having her father was just enough for her. With that being said, she got along with her father very well, they were like two peas in a pod as she grew up, looking up to him and explaining how she wanted to be an adventurer of sorts, he'd supported her very well and taught her how to use various firearms to keep herself safe. He's still alive and Chloe checks in regularly to see how he's doing, they have a pretty great relationship when it comes to parents and their children, no tension or hostility there whatsoever.
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Chloe's most prominent feature has to be her all around Rozarrian appearance. She has dark tanned skin and dark black hair, having moved to Nabradia it sure made her stick out like a sore thumb. It made her very unique and interesting in the eyes of others.
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
Chloe has various scars from her constant running around and digging around for treasure. Though most have healed, a few are simply faded and because her skin is so dark, barely noticeable. There are no scars that stick out or have a wonderful back story on them, at least not yet.
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
...well, Chloe knows she's good looking, but she doesn't constantly talk about it, or think about it. Her mind is more on the task at hand, but she isn't afraid to use her looks to help her get the upper hand on a situation. She believes the Rozarrian race to be very beautiful as it is, tanned skin, dark hair...it's very beautiful in her eyes, but she's never one to size down someone else because of their location of birth. For instance, she would humbly admit that her old childhood friend, Layne Riley, is also among the beautiful women that Ivalace has to offer. Not that she'd ever admit such a thing out loud. All and all, she's vain, sort of. Somewhere in the middle I suppose.
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
0, Chloe is definitely into men. No question about that one.
6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
Chloe's happiest memory would have to be her first treasure hunting success. She'd recently advertised herself to help with expeditions and what not, she had a crew with her and was very nervous for the outcome. Their challenge was to find an ancient amulet within some of the old Rozarrian ruins. With several archeologists at her side, many monsters to battle and very little experience, Chloe considered it a job well done upon finding said treasure. Not only had she escaped losing her life along the way, she'd gotten a mighty fine pay out of it and some good praise for it as well. Via word of mouth, her name was being spread and she was being labeled as a treasure hunter, which led to her more solo missions and better clients. The first success is always the best.
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
There haven't been many bad moments in Chloe's life, but one memory she'd like to erase...something that sort of changed how the way she is, was when she was a kid and growing up with her new found friends, Cole and Layne, there had been an accident regarding some firecrackers and her being far too close. Chloe has a great fear of grenades and explosives, yet she has a fascination with using her RPG whenever she gets the chance. Thanks Cole, this is your fault!
8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
Favorite ice cream would have to be chocolate. Favorite color is red. Favorite song is...well, she has a lot of them! Her favorite flower is a rose, not only because they're red and beautiful, but they have thorns as well.
9.) Who does your character trust?
Chloe has a small handful of people whom she really does trust with her life. She knows that in the world you can't trust everyone because more than likely, someone will stab you in the back. She trusts her father, a man she'd known all her life and someone who'd supported her since day one, but that's an obvious answer. She also trusts Layne Riley and Coulson Pike. They grew up together and even though they are rivals in the world of treasure hunting, she'd still trust her life with them.
10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
A turning point for Chloe could either be when she moved from Rozarrian to Nabradia when she was very young, or when she finally left home to pursue her dreams as an adventurer. Gaining freedom and making a name for yourself, it made her more confident, definitely louder and somewhat smug in a way, but it also made her appreciate everything that happened in life, had she not moved, not met the people she did...maybe none of this would've happened. As smug and seemingly obnoxious as she is, Chloe does take a lot of time to do some deep thinking like this.
11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
Does the Tasmanian Devil count? Super wild and crazy...probably due to her obsession with explosions of sorts?
12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Chloe would be tech savvy, up to date on everything that would make her life easier when it comes to treasure hunting. Alas, there are no technical advancements as of lately.
13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
When Chloe goes to bed she usually starts out on on her stomach and ends up waking up on her side, the opposite side of which she was primarily facing. She's usually cocooned in her blankets to keep warm. For such a wild woman, this is a shock, ain't it?
14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
Growing up for many years in Rozarria made Chloe adaptable to the heat, moving around through all her treasure hunts made her very adaptable to the cold as well. If it's too hot, shed the cloth, if it's too cold, better bundle up!
15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Depends on what job she's performing. If she's on a treasure hunt it doesn't matter, she'll sleep when she can. If she's not working, then she'll probably crash around midnight or so. That way she can get a good rest before whatever hunt comes up next.
16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?
21.) What would your character’s cutie mark be?
22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
23.) Is your character superstitious?
24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
