A frustrated sigh escaped the girls lips, fingers pressed to her forehead.
How had this turned into an argument so quickly? Okay, so she realized the proper time to ask Nine about what exactly they were in forms of a relationship when he had a hangover probably wasn't the smartest idea...or she did now. Unfortunately, they were already arguing about it. When he had woken up finally, having slept most of the day away, Seven had been studying in their living room, waiting for him to wake up. Sice hadn't said much when she had returned, thankfully, just quirked a brow, asked what the hell Nine was doing passed out on their couch and then went to bed. Thank Etro she had departed early for class, because Seven really did hate the idea of having an audience for this argument that her and Nine had started, or she had, or he had, whatever way you wanted to look at it.
Such an argument over such a little thing. But...was this topic really a little thing? After all, they were talking about relationships. Seven herself didn't know much about relationships, at least this kind, and Nine-....well, he probably knew a heck of a lot less than she did, at least about keeping relationships. She told herself that she needed to have more patience, but dang it all, she wanted to know what they were. First, he had drug her down onto his bed and kissed her, and then they had seemed to patch things up and had spent a fun day at the beach, and now the night before he had stumbled into her room drunk, at three in the morning. You didn't go to a certain girls room unless they meant something to you...right?
But then where did Emina fit into all of this? Another little sigh of frustration escaped her lips, before she lowered her hand from her forehead and crossed her arms, violet eyes returning to the equally as frustrated Nine. She tried yet again to get a grip with her patience before she continued. Hell, she knew he hated anything complex, and this was definitely complex, but he was going to have to learn to deal with life at some point! Mine as well be now. "So?", she prodded again.
Admitting you had feelings for someone was a scary thing, and Etro help her, she had never expected to ever be saying the words to Nine of all people. He was so...mismatched, and insolent, and cocky, and an ass, but...that didn't mean she couldn't get attached. Still, Seven hated feeling like some rebound of Emina's. She wasn't going to be second best, if even that! He was stubborn about feelings, that was for sure. Standing somewhat near the door, she faced him toe to toe and wouldn't back down. She thought she might like him, and he was acting like he felt the same. Or was it just him mourning old Boobs herself? Seven thought that part hurt the most. "What are we, Nine? Huh? You don't come to a girls room at 3 in the morning slobbering drunk because you're friends," she snapped out pointedly. Damn it, she knew this was frustrating for him and he didn't want to be any part of a relationship talk, but if they didn't talk about it now, they probably never would. She, however, wasn't the type to simply continue and feel weird around him and never get any sort of commitment.
Etro she was happy they were in the privacy of her dorm and not somewhere with listening ears...so happy.

Really?
REALLY?! Seven had attacked him. That was all Nine could think about. Why oh why would she just attack him like this? Didn’t she know that Nine hated any and all complications? It not only gave him the biggest headache imaginable, but it also put him in the worst mood imaginable. With a distinct frown on his face, standing on his feet here in Seven’s dorm with the most tension filling the air ever, Nine just rolled his eyes at her prodding. With an irritated groan of frustration, he ran his hands through his hair, nearly tugging at the ends as he wanted to just throw a fit and walk out…like any normal day. He needed to maintain some sort of maturity, which is why he kept from storming out. He didn’t know what she wanted to hear, he wasn’t going to commit to anything…after all…they just…he didn’t…THIS WAS TOO DAMN COMPLICATED!
“What do ya want from me?! You want me to tell ya that we’re datin’ now? You want to me to tell ya that we’re jus’ friends? I don’t know what the hell we are alright?” Nine whined as he wanted to just sit down, or better yet, go throw some javelins. This was really pushing his buttons, and he wasn’t sure what to say to make things better. He didn’t necessarily think of them as a…a…couple. It wasn’t that he was afraid of commitment, it was that…he…was…afraid of commitment okay. He didn’t like being chained down whatsoever, but it wasn’t like he was out skirt chasing all the damn time. There was Emina…but that ship had long since sailed since Nine found out she was seeing someone else…that…Izana Kunagiri or whatever his name was. The typical question of ‘WHY’ continued to float around in Nine’s very confused and painful feeling head. “Why the hell did ya have to jump me about this, hey? If I’m not mistaken, I was drunk…drunk people do random things…so don’t you pull that on me!” he argued, yes…Nine was arguing, but hey…at least it was with Seven. Had it been with someone like…another guy, you can bet the mighty dragoon skills would’ve emerged.
With a stressed sigh, Nine let his eyes drift towards the door. There was an easy escape. With a bit of a huff of a breath, Nine whirled around and faced the door, he put a hand to the back of his neck before taking a few steps towards the door. “Maybe when you calm down then we can talk, and next time don’t jump me about this! You’re just bein’ a bit out o’ line today.” He said as he extended an arm, reaching and pulling the door open. If Nine was lucky he’d get away without Seven nagging in his ear like most women did. But of course…Nine was never lucky. She was going to get to him, and he knew it, which is why he tried to cut her off and get going. The sooner he got out of here and away from the rising angst, the better off his day would be…no one wanted to deal with a pissy Nine as it was. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 652 Muse: Good! This week was turning out to be a weird one, and for some reason, Deuce didn’t think the strangeness was going to end anytime soon either. All of it had started with Trey’s birthday, which everyone had been more than excited for. They were throwing him a party, they’d said. It was guys only, they’d said. Then how come almost all of the girls had ended up involved in it as well? Oh, that’s right! Because all of the boys had ended up stupidly drunk and swaggering their way to their female classmates to include them in the fun. The thing was, what they found to be hilarious in their intoxicated state was hardly amusing when you yourself were sober and tired due to it being like three in the morning. A tired yawn escaped the brunette’s lips as she literally dragged herself back to her dorm after a long day at school. Deuce too had been suffering the consequences of the party’s aftermath, first when those voicemails had started pouring in, secondly because Machina had shown up to her and Rem’s dorm wearing a feathered boa, and lastly because she had to go and take care of Ace, who was probably worse off than all of them combined, considering his hangover. Rolling her shoulders, she tried to ease some of the tension out of her tired muscles, staying up all night in an awkward position tended to be a bad idea, and Deuce understood why now. Her shoulders and back were killing her, that combined with the fact that she could hardly keep her eyes open made for a very slow and somewhat irritable Deuce. She’d managed to stay nice to her classmates, and she’d probably be able to be civil to other students, but Kazusa or Carla had better not try to mess with her today, or she’d show them exactly why Sice of all people called her scary when angry.
After shuffling through the hall for a few minutes, the flautist finally arrived at the dorms. Not her own yet, but it was just down the hall. Thank Etro for that, nothing would stand between her and a warm, fluffy bed now. Deuce had to admit she was rather proud of herself for having actually attended classes today, because some of her usually hardworking classmates had decided to skip for a day. She could hardly blame them, assuming they’d had the same night she had. What was strange though, was that Cinque of all people had attended classes today. She didn’t seem all that tired either, maybe she and Cater had been spared the boys’ antics? Then again, Cinque was always full of over the top energy, a single night of not sleeping would bring her down to normal levels, which was kind of the state she seemed to be in. “Bye bye Deucey!” the redhead gave her a quick hug and then took off back in the direction they’d come from. Where was she even going? Her dorm was this way, not that way! Having been stopped in her tracks by Cinque, Deuce couldn’t help but notice the muffled voices she might’ve otherwise missed. Curiously, she turned her head back down the hallway, and with slow, calculated steps, the brunette tried to determine where the voices were coming from. If they could be heard all the way out here in the hallway, someone had to be yelling. Maybe they were in pain and needed help? That was the excuse Deuce would be using in case someone noticed her stalking down the hallways with her ears pricked up like a fox’s anyway. She was just being a good classmate, that’s all! Yep.
Eventually, her feet lead her to Seven and Sice’s dorm. Oh dear, if Sice was mad, maybe she really did need to stick around to save whoever it was she was yelling at, because while Deuce could be scary when she was angry, Sice could be scary… pretty much all the time. And whereas Deuce was mostly harmless unless you hurt her classmates, Sice was a pretty dangerous person that any sane person just wouldn’t mess with if they valued their lives. The female voice didn’t sound like Sice though, more like Seven. The younger girl instantly frowned when she came to that conclusion, much like a child would frown upon hearing her parents argue about something. That was a proper comparison too, because even though Deuce considered Arecia to be her mother as well, Seven and Nine had become somewhat like parents to her as well in some strange sense. Those two took care of her and looked out for her even more so than the rest of their class, and they always had, as far as Deuce could remember. Why was Seven upset? More importantly, who was she upset with? The second voice made her gasp, and she immediately clasped a hand over her mouth to keep herself from making more noises that might give her away. Nine was in there too?! Dear Etro, this really was like hearing mommy and daddy argue! What was she going to do now? With one hand clasped over her mouth and the other pressed against the door, she leaned in closer and pressed her ear next to her hand, listening carefully and trying to make out what was being said. Something about Seven being out of line… oh dear… she should just leave and respect their privacy, that was the right thing to do. Just leave them be.
She didn’t. Though she had every intention of leaving (kind of), her feet just wouldn’t budge. Oh well, might as well stay then! ---------------------------------- Words: 945 Tagged: Trey, Seven, Nine Location: Outside Seven's Dorm Outfit: Class Zero Uniform Notes: Since all the guys are having a hangover, I just assumed it was after Trey's birthday. Trey couldn't be entirely sure what hallway he was in, but he hoped it was the one where he would find Sice and Seven's dorm. Having to walk elsewhere seemed to impose upon him, with him in his current state, the greatest challenge he thought he would ever attack in his life. Trey had heard horrible things about being hungover before in his life, and in fact he had studied up on the state of the body in recovery from alcohol a few times in his life. His knowledge could never have prepared him for the real thing, though. Trey had been a zombie the entire day. To his credit, he'd gone to all of his classes unlike most of his male, and even some of his female, classmates, but he could not remember anything he'd been taught or anything he'd experienced in general over the course of the school day. His legs had begun to feel like some powerful force was pulling them down towards the floor by the knees. He didn't want to raise his arms. And his head - his head was some combination of feelings that reminded Trey of taking a wet sponge to his skin and scrubbing relentlessly. If Trey was to understate, all he felt like doing, he would say he didn't feel up to doing anything but spending the next fifteen hours asleep.
However, Trey could not afford to disappear for the rest of the day. While he had been in class with Sice all day, Trey hadn't yet had the chance to speak with her about the events of the night before. All of his energy had been devoted towards actually managing to stay upright in class, and though he'd started to speak to her a few times, he simply didn't feel as if he could do so sensibly, feeling as wiped out as he did. He knew he did need to speak with her, though, and thus had been planning for roughly the past hour to head over to her dorm and sit down to have a small conversation with her, just to ensure he was remembering everything he'd done while in her company correctly. In all honesty, Trey prayed he hadn't gone any farther than his memories were telling him that he had. Hearing the experiences of a few of the other males had been what originally made him wonder about his actions. Sice hadn't seemed particularly ready to chop his head off, so he was expecting the best news about his actions.
Trey knew he had to make sure, though. Still aimlessly wandering through the hallway, Trey took a moment to pause and glance above him at the small sign that read what dorms he was approaching. Ah, yes, wonderful, he was in the right place. Trey straightened himself as best he could and shifted his books in his hands, letting out a breath of disgust with himself before starting off on his walk again and heading towards the location of Sice and Seven's door. He had spotted it, and someone standing in front of it, when he suddenly became aware of some obstacle standing in front of him. Trey put on the brakes as quickly as he could, but still ran into said obstacle, realizing it seemed very much like another human being and...a female human being, at that. And she wasn't moving herself off of him from where he'd lightly collided with her.
"Treeeeey, you hadn't told me it was your birthday yesterday! I would have certainly had a present waiting for you~"
Dear Etro, why had this girl been sent to him today?
Trey looked down to take in the ever-underdressed, pigtail-sporting form of Kayla from the monk class. Now he understood why she was still shoving herself at him. The way that she was looking up into his face disturbed him as much as it did when he didn't have a hangover, so he supposed he wasn't completely out of his element. "Ah, yes, thank you for the sentiment Kayla," Trey told her, trying to step around. She countered and pressed herself against him again. Oh, he did not have the energy for dueling with her. "You sure I can't get you something? Oh, you know, just something like a nice massage! It wouldn't be much trouble, and I know of a nice peaceful place where you can just relax and you don't have to wear too many clothes and-"
Still able to think quickly in spite of his poor state, Trey brought his books up between the two of them, successfully prying her off of him and managing to put the books in front of her face before she could recover. "The best birthday present would be for you to take these to my dorm and slide them under the door, or give them to Ace if he's...recovered," he said, recalling his roommate's sickness from the night before at the end of his statement. "I would greatly appreciate it." Kayla stared at the books for a few seconds, then at Trey, while looking all sorts of torn and distraught, before she nodded and started speaking again while Trey had already started walking away. "Of course, Trey! We can take a rain check on the massage, then! I'll be getting my hands ready!"
Yes, rain check. That was what it would be.
Trey continued on towards the door, realizing as he got closer and put the horrifying thought of Kayla out of his mind that the person standing outside of it was not going in and was not tall enough to be either Seven or Sice. She also lacked the hair color. Was that...Deuce? Why was she standing against the door as if helping hold it up?
Trey stopped short a few feet behind her, staring at her with his eyebrows knit, trying to determine what it was she was doing. "Deuce...are you having an issue with the door?"

Seven wasn’t sure how she managed to keep as controlled an expression on her face as she was managing right now. Inside she was seething, and wanted to kick him, or push him out of their dorm room, or call him a moron, or…something! Something that was less than pleasant. Ugh, what did he-…Seven really didn’t understand him half the time, at all. And that was probably why they were standing here arguing when they should be doing something entirely different. Sure, they’d had some fun times, but when it came right down to it, perhaps Seven was just looking way too deeply into this. Why couldn’t it just be like every OTHER boy and girl in the school? They saw someone they liked, pursued them for a bit, admitted they liked them, and then they moved on to either dating or…not. With Nine, it was definitely not that easy. No…there was nothing easy about classifying their relationship, or lack of one.
And there he was, yelling back when she’d just kindly asked a-…well okay fine, she’d snapped at him, but surely that didn’t mean he should be shouting at her. Almost instantly her face pinched up a tad before she managed to control her expressions and go quiet, which was usually not a good thing. With a deep sigh, which was more like letting out her pent up breath so that she didn’t start screaming and ranting at him, Seven rolled her eyes upward and tried to come up with something nice to say in the ten seconds she took to reply to him yelling that he didn’t know what the hell they were. Well that was just great! She didn’t quite know what the hell they were either! Etro, did he think he was the only one that didn’t deal with commitment much? “Okay, so you don’t know, I don’t either, so you don’t have to yell!”, she snapped, not registering that she was practically shouting herself. She had almost managed to control herself again when he was back at it. Had he just shut up for a few moments, she might have calmed down and stopped attacking him, but he managed to get her hackles raised once more and she narrowed her eyes while she stared at him. “Drunk people do thinks that sober people think about and don’t do.”, she pointed out angrily. “So don’t get self-righteous with me Nine!” With the school as her witnesses, she wanted to strangle him, or kick him, or something! Ugh! Men! This is why they weren’t worth it! “And I didn’t jump you, you bonehead, you just took it like that because you’re a momma’s boy that can’t handle not having his way with things and can’t handle any sort of commitment.” It wasn’t a secret that Nine was one of Arecia’s favorites, if not the favorite. Right now, Seven really had no damned idea why that would be. In fact, he was irritating her so much she wanted to-…do things she’d probably get arrested for, so it wasn’t a good idea.
She was about to leave and just tell him to forget the talk she’d wanted to have, when he told HER to calm down?! She had been fairly close anyway, so when he said that, she took a few steps closer. “Calm down?! I am calm you-...” She trailed off in disbelief when he spoke next. OUT OF LINE?! Who the hell…did he think he was? Her gaze darkened at that, and in a moment of anger and loss of control, Seven set herself and pushed him away from the door. “Out of line? I was perfectly fine before you started acting like a five year old. Etro’s truth Nine, I wanted to have one simple conversation about what sort of relationship we actually have, and you act like I’m pinning you down to marriage and fifty million babies or something.” Seven was now guarding the door so he couldn’t just run away, seething with anger. Etro hold her back, she was going to either start screaming like a shrew or cry, and neither was something she would ever do, damn him! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 893 Muse:; Great! This was just so irritating! how could Seven not see the things she was doing? This was pretty close to horror for poor Nine. In fact, he wanted to get away from this conversation altogether as soon as possible...but Seven would probably just keep yakking his ear off. Why did women have to make things so complicated? It seemed that ever since Nine had pulled Seven to his bed - by a spur of the moment purpose, - things had just gone downhill for this dragoon in terms of how complicated things in his life were. Everyone knew that Nine hated complications, he liked seeing things in plain black and white...with Seven there just wasn't anything that could be left in plain old black and white. She was an assortment of colors, like a neon rainbow that gave him a headache from time to time, pretty, but pain through and through. Looking towards the silver haired youth, Nine felt a scowl form on his lips, his emotions were never hard to see, he never bothered with hiding them, especially at times like this. Seven seemed like she was jumping down his throat, but then again...that was probably very dramatized for Nine, even still...who the hell came up and asked what kind of relationship you had? Nine sure as hell didn't know, so why was she asking him in the first place? It was silly...all of this, but whatever, Nine was going to make it out alive one way or another, he was sure of it!
Women were just too much trouble. They attacked poor innocent men and gave them the old ball and chain conversation. No...Nine wasn't afraid of commitment, at least to certain things it seemed...but that didn't mean he wanted to commit to anything right now. What were they? He wasn't sure and it seemed that Seven didn't know either. So what was the point of all of this? To torture Nine until he started crying like a little baby?[ "Don' you tell me what a drunk guy will or will not do. Or what it means! If it makes you feel better, I don't remember squat from that night! All I know is like right now, I felt like shit and this babbling ain't workin' for me." he said with a firm yet naturally rough tone as he looked at the shorter girl. This was beginning to be a bigger nuisance than Nine was used to dealing with.
If this could get any worse, Nine would like to see that. It would be the moment where he did start to cry and what not. His poor little brain couldn't take much more of this. Nine was done with all of this. He heard nothing but yakking from Seven and he just couldn't take it. He wanted to go back to the safety of HIS dorm so he could relax, at least King wouldn't jump down his throat like a mad woman...or at least that's what he hoped. Shaking his head as he started forward towards the door...but Seven didn't seem to like that idea. He felt her hands against him, pushing him out of the way of the door until she was guarding that door like a hawk. How nice of her to do that. "You damn well better move outta the way, Seven" Nine growled harshly, but as Seven continued to stand there, blocking his way, Nine simply stepped forward, pressing his hands against the door and shutting it all the way as he practically grabbed the silver haired girl there. She probably wouldn't be fazed, but his obvious lack of amusement was clearly shown on his features.
