This was what Caius wanted.
He wanted nothing more than to spread chaos, to rip the timeline into nothing and watch as the world suffered for it. Not only would it free Yeul, but it should free himself…but the details of everything regarding him being immortal and a guardian to the seeress was just complicated. Here he was making sure his plans were fulfilled, not only to spread the chaos throughout Pulse and create a timeless world, but also to infect the other worlds with his control of Valhalla’s chaos as well. They didn’t need times either, maybe that was what was keeping him from being able to die? Yes, this was madness, wrapped inside a calm and collective man with the upmost determination for whatever goal he set for himself. This was no exception, this was still all part of his main goal to free Yeul, that way he didn’t have to watch her die in his arms over and over again, even though this horrible mess of a future that he was creating was not what she wanted. “Sometimes you have to sacrifice the things you want…for the things you need.” He spoke quietly to himself as he stood in the sand on the shores of Valhalla, gazing at the portal ahead of him and taking a split second to wonder to himself…
…was this really what Caius wanted?
Stepping forward towards the portal, a darkness surrounding him, like an aura of sorts, he finally had stepped through the portal and took any impact that came with the teleportation – what he assumed was a teleportation – to another realm, another world that was able to be shut out of time. The portaling process was much like a free falling sensation. Though Caius never batted an eye, he simply waited for his feet to touch the ground, and once they did hit something solid and sturdy, his eyes flickered around, stepping out of the portal and revealing a dim world. It was almost as dim and lifeless looking as Valhalla itself, but the structure of the buildings was nothing like the world at the end of time…the world he’d chosen to turn Pulse into. Still, his appearance on this new world, whatever it was called, seemed to have drawn a few sets of eyes his way. Troops no doubt. Familiar troops of some sorts, he’d heard from many different scouts and soldiers through the different time periods about portals and traveling elsewhere to help with the so called ‘l’cie problem’ that was effecting other people. They never imagined such a disaster coming their way now, did they?
“Stop! Freeze!” The armored men of the former PSICOM unit called, their guns raised as they stood in nice neat lines in an orderly fashion. Caius felt a smirk tug at the corner of his mouth as he closed his eyes and shook his head slightly, reaching back for the sword that was latched to his back. “I said freeze!” the lead soldier – or the one with the most bravery – called with a step forward in Caius’ direction. Opening his eyes, Caius flipped his sword from his back and into his hand, holding it in front of his chest by the hilt, the top of it aiming down towards the ground, basically holding the sword upside down, like he usually did. “This world matters not in my quest for a timeless universe. Moving to other worlds causes paradoxes, it causes rifts in the timeline, it causes a very close friend of mine her life. I shall return the favor, after all…an eye for an eye.” He spoke darkly as the eye on his blade started to glow a little bit, red like his own eyes would should he tap into his deep powers of chaos.
With a running start, Caius charged towards the soldiers, leaping in the air and shifting his sword hilt around in his hand before raising the large weapon above his head and slamming it down where the soldiers were, watching them scatter or get hit by the impact the sword had on the ground, creating cracks in the ground. Moving quickly as he heard the sound of gunfire, he moved his sword up and in front of his face to block the lead that was quickly coming towards his face. Another smirk rose on his lips before lowering his sword, pulling it back and letting a nice cast of recoils fly from his blade, knocking the soldiers either into one another and out of consciousness, or they’d done their best to avoid it with no success. “This world will be a nice trophy. Soon, you will be free, Yeul.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 881 Muse: Great! OOC: Just an FYI, I'm currently in another part of China, and I don't exactly have much internet access, so expect sporadic activity at best. :/
IC:
Midgar. Ravaged and torn apart, only ruins and a desolate landscape had remained of the once-great city. The surviving citizens of the city had built themselves a new city, or rather a town, named Edge that was approriately located on the borders of the remains. Easy access to any raw material needed for construction. The city used to be the headquarters for the company that nearly (albeit indirectly) destroyed the Planet. And now, as a consequence, nothing remained of it saved a few members that had survived its destruction.
What a karmic ending. Of course, the company's greatest and most terrible creation still roamed the Planet, plotting its demise... or rather, its conversion. Just as the Calamity of Skies - or rather, his 'Mother' - had done so for eons. And now, it stood on top of what had used to be the Shin-Ra Tower - the tallest building in all of the ruins of Midgar.
Sephiroth stood there, gazing impassively out at the landscape. Much of the Planet was ravaged, and yet it would recover. He could faintly feel the threads of Lifestream traveling through the world, healing the damage that was done both by Shin-Ra and by him. He smiled, a dark upward twist of his lips. His cells had tainted the lifestream, and now it was spreading throughout the Planet. No... rather, his Mother's cells. All he had to do was to now bide his time, and wait until enough of his cells had gathered. Then the Planet would become a vessel, and he would use it to spread desolation and destruction throughout each and every world.
Then he sensed a disturbance in the lifestream. Very nearby. Walking calmly toward and edge, he looked down. His mako-enhanced eyes allowed him to see someone with a large sword fighting off soldiers. However, it was not Cloud, nor was it any kind of troops he recognized from any part of the Planet. He frowned. Were they, perhaps, of a different world? Sephiroth was no stranger to the denizens of different worlds, thanks to the War of the Gods he had participated in. But this man didn't seem like anyone he had met before. A single black wing stretched out from his back. A small hint of curiosity burned in him. He soared down, intent on finding out who or what it was.
He landed on the remains of a building a distance away. The soldiers, now that he got a closer look at them, were more heavily armed and armored than any Shin-Ra or Wutai soldiers. However, the man with the large sword had cut them down with ease. Sephiroth had no doubt he could do so as well, but it gave him a hint as to the other man's power. As for the man wielding the large sword... his clothing and armor was definitely not of any style that belonged to the Planet, but not to any world he knew of either. Again, he gave a dark smile. Well, this might be interesting. He soared toward the man now, who had finished with the last of the soldiers, and caught his last sentence.
This world will be a nice trophy. Soon, you will be free, Yeul.
Landing on a nearby building above Caius, he asked, "Do you intend to claim the Planet for your own? If so, I cannot allow that." Masamune was already in his hand, and although he held it casually at his side, he had his body tensed, ready for a battle should the need arise. Sephiroth's catlike eyes narrowed. "You are not of this world. Who are you?" he asked. He might as well get answered. It wouldn't matter too much, though - he would cut down this stranger in the end. He would not allow a stranger to claim the Planet - it was rightfully his and Mother's.
Would this stranger be foolish enough to face his blade?

Yes, Caius was willing to do whatever it took to free his younger Pulsian companion, even if it meant traveling to all of the other worlds out there in the universe and taking them down to nothingness just as he wished to do to Gran Pulse. To unleash Valhalla’s darkness and chaos everywhere would rid the universe of all timelines, if that didn’t free himself and Yeul, then he wasn’t sure what would. This curse needed to be lifted somehow, it’d been a long time suffering for this man…since before the War of Transgression. Being a part of the oldest tribe on Pulse was definitely impressive, though not in the best way. One might actually be able to understand the madness beneath such a calm exterior, though sometimes frustration and anger was let loose from Caius, he did well to maintain his composure, even in battle. One might say he was more on the polite side, but his tactics and maneuvers were completely cruel and heartless, as heartless as they come.
With a devilish smirk crossing his lips in amusement, he stared down at the grounded soldiers, their chests still rising and falling, they were simply knocked out for the time being, mere pests that even Caius wouldn’t waste his time fighting. Now, if one armor covered pinkette leapt out of nowhere to try and fight him, that would be a worthy battle. Until this day, Caius hadn’t met someone whom he considered his finest opponent, Lightning Farron met that title, it was about time someone brought a little entertainment and even a slight challenge to his blade. Speaking of which, he twisted his sword in his hand, flipping it back and over his head to be placed back where it needed to be, resting against his back and ready to be quickly drawn again should more of those soldiers come his way and try to play the hero for this world, even though they weren’t even from this world, whatever it was called.
This world would make a fine trophy, it would be one of the first to fall, he was here, thus it was bound to happen. When Caius got his mind focused on something, he was going to do it. If he was going to tear down the sky, then he’d do that, no matter how logical or physically impossible it may be. Taking a few steps forward to start his stride towards the nearest city, Caius then stopped, hearing a slight sound, like maybe a bird or something, but…it was heavier than that. Hearing a voice then, Caius’ violet eyes darted upwards towards a one winged figure standing on the nearest building, staring him down and obviously talking to him. The smirk never left the guardian’s lips as he rested his weight back, folding his arms across his chest. Obviously his words had ruffled a few feathers – no pun intended – who was this silver haired man? A hero of sorts? If that was what Caius was thinking, then he was sadly mistaken.
“Do you intend to cross swords with me should I choose to collect this Planet for my own use?” He asked in that deep tone of his with an eyebrow raise before the typical question came into the air. Who was he? Well, Caius sure wasn’t one for long winded speeches or introductions, so reaching back and at least gripping his hand around the hilt of his sword, he still felt the twinge of an amused smirk tingle across his lips. “I am the guardian of the timeline. I am not of your world, you are correct…but soon that will not matter. I have a friend in need of your planet whether you approve of it or not.” He said darkly, the amused look wiping itself away from his face as he narrowed his eyes, pulling at the hilt of his sword a bit, ready to slide it from his back and prepare for battle. “You protect this world? You seek it for yourself? Good luck.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 767 Muse: Excellent! Do you intend to cross swords with me should I choose to collect this Planet for my own use?
Well, at least this man didn't beat around the bushes. It was quite obvious in both their minds what was to be the outcome of this conversation even after this short exchange of words. Neither of them would yield in their desire to claim the Planet as their own. And whenever there was a conflict of interest, violence borne of those wishing to fulfill their interests was always sure to come. It was the way of the world. No. It was the way of the universe.
Still, Sephiroth did not mind. It had been a long while since he had a fight. He did not always wish for conflict - many times, he wished for peace in which he can continue Mother's work - but still, a fight now and then kept his senses and his skills as sharp as his sword. And besides, some fights were rather enjoyable, especially if the opponent was exceptionally skillful and powerful. And Sephiroth could feel it - a warrior's instinct. This man was exceptionally skillfull and powerful.
I am the guardian of the timeline. I am not of your world, you are correct. But soon that will not matter. I have a friend in need of your planet whether you approve of it or not.
Well, his predictions were correct. He thought so - Sephiroth was rarely wrong, be it about Cloud, about the Planet, or anything else. He was a warrior, but he was also intelligent. He was not a First Class SOLDIER for nothing. But it was then obvious that this man intended to claim the Planet for his own. That, Sephiroth would not allow. The Planet was to be a vessel for him, and him alone. He would claim it and become the new Calamity. He would not allow this invader from another world take what was his birthright.
He would destroy him.
You protect this world? You seek it for yourself? Good luck.
Just as Caius reached for his blade, Sephiroth lifted up Masamune a tiny bit, enough so that the tip of the blade was now pointing at him. "Protect this world?" he asked, the slightest bit of amusement creeping into his voice. "You are mistaken. I merely wish to claim this world as my own, as is my right." Then Sephiroth's eyes narrowed and his voice became icy. "And I do not wish for an outsider to claim the Planet." He now raised Masamune and went into his regular battle stance, holding it up high, parallel to his face, the point aimed at Caius. "And as neither of us is willing to yield..."
"We'll decide with a contest of strength."
With that, Sephiroth swung the Masamune, cutting the building under him, causing a piece of rubble to fall toward Caius. He didn't expect the rubble to do anything other than distract him, so he leaped forward with inhuman speed, landing beside Caius. He decided to start strong, so this stranger would learn how outmatched he was.
Grasping Masamune in an easy but deadly grip, he slashed powerfully eight times. One of his signature moves: Octaslash. Even one with inhuman strength would find it hard to deflect Sephiroth's slashes. Sephiroth was not only a First Class SOLDIER, but he was also a swordman without peer. Sephiroth did not use magic much, but then, his swordsmanship normally more than made up for it. Still, he did not use too many of his signature moves, yet.
After all, in battle, the first thing one needed to do was learn about the enemy. Sephiroth had no information prior to this man's fighting style, nor what kind of magic he uses. He had no information, period. Although Sephiroth was highly confident in his skills, he learned long ago that arrogance was what allowed his enemies to best him. Particularly Cloud. Especially Cloud. That man had lived more out of Sephiroth's mistakes than his skill. If they next met, there would be no repeat of that.
But for now, he focused on this man. He kept his arsenal hidden for now. He would bring them out as he figured out how to quickly and efficiently deal with this stranger.

Never before had Caius minded a challenge, this was no exception. He greatly appreciated a good fight every now and then, and with the Knight of the Goddess frozen in crystal stasis on the throne of Etro, Caius hadn’t had one of those difficult yet mildly rewarding battles in quite some time. Serah and Noel proved to be a bigger pest than he had imagined, but they were also tied up with their own affairs, one being death. No matter, this didn’t have anything to do with the longing to find a battle somewhere that would satisfy him, all of this was for Yeul, in a very roundabout way. Caius could’ve claimed Pulse, stuck it to Etro there, but why settle for less? No matter what obstacles he’d have to go through to achieve his ultimate goal to rid of the timeline in every world imaginable, he’d do what he could, and with the gift – or curse – of immortality on his side, he had all the time in the world to complete said task.
With a firm grip on the hilt of his sword, Caius simply waited. He wasn’t going to leap before he looked, he wanted the other man to attack first. At least they both had the same idea, and he wasn’t dealing with some world protecting hero that was bent on saving anyone and everyone. With a slight smirk, his expressions were hardly much of anything interesting, simply a bit of amusement, but all and all, the rest of this was fairly serious. “A contest of strength.” He repeated with a small nod, slowly and carefully sliding his sword from his back, turning it around in his hand so that he was gripping it almost upside down or backwards. The blade tip pointing up as he held it behind his back. Taking a few steps to his right side though, he shifted the blade, bringing it up and holding it out in front of him almost like a shield, his feet firmly planted on the ground as he waited, analyzing the moves – even the smallest little twitch – from Sephiroth, ready to take whatever attack he threw at him.
Watching a piece of the building fall to pieces, Caius merely took one step back, simply to avoid dust inhalation, no need to start a coughing fit over some dust particles, and from there, he was on the balls of his feet, ready to move. With Sephiroth quickly nearing him, Caius felt the muscles in his arm tighten, as did his grip around the hilt of his sword, pulling it up and using it to guard himself from the eight slashes that came his way. Moving the sword accordingly to block attacks, it was the last one that threw him back, but not enough for damage, he simply turned himself and landed on his feet, bending his knees to absorb the shock of what would have been a nice hit. As he held his sword up once more, his eyes gazing over his hand and the hilt, his eyes flickered a tint of red as he flicked his free hand, as if he were to cure himself, but instead casting a series of enhancements. Body and soul.
Right after giving himself a bit of an edge, a bit more speed, Caius struck the tip of his blade into the ground, a blast wave forming and sending its way across the ground towards Sephiroth, but there was no time to waste, he quickly pulled his sword from the ground and continued to keep moving, his walking pace slow, moving to keep from being targeted in one spot. Now was the time to leap. Charging forward quickly, he slashed his blade a good few times towards Sephiroth, aiming for the main body area, but if this swordsman was as good as he imagined he was, then there would be a good guarding system going on, still…everyone had their lucky strikes now and then. This wasn’t going to be easy, that was for damn sure, on both ends of the battle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 769 Muse: Great! As Sephiroth had guessed, the man was no newcomer to combat. He has guarded all his Octaslash, the last one knocking him back more by sheer force than any skill of his own. He was powerful, skilled. And already, Sephiroth had a sample of his strength. Neither of them were unleashing their true strengths. This would not be an easy fight. Sephiroth was intelligent enough to know what much. Why would this man be intimidated by an Octaslash, when he held as much power as Sephiroth did? More or less? Only time would tell. Either way, this fight would be interesting. And deadly.
He could see the tendrils of magic wrapping around the man. Sephiroth's eyes narrowed. No doubt it was a kind of magic that would enhance his already considerable abilities. That might make things slightly more challenging. Nevertheless, Sephiroth was sure that this man would not be able to match his blade in the end, no matter how much magic he used to enhance himself. He did not look down on such magics themselves, however - Sephiroth of all people knew that in a war, one scrabbled for every advantage they could get.
The stranger sent energy waves his way, and Sephiroth countered, slashing into the air, creating an energy wave of his own that clashed, causing an explosion. A large cloud of dust and rubble sprung up, but it didn't impede Sephiroth's mako-enhanced eyes, and he could see Caius stepping slowly around. Sephiroth did the same, matching his footsteps, his Masamune again raised up high in his normal battle stance. He analyzed the environment, and his footing, ready to take advantage of any opening, however small. However, it seemed Caius decided to take the initiative of the next attack.
Sephiroth blocked and evaded each slash, however, with the weight and strength behind the blade, he was forced to give ground with each attack, backing off and allowing Caius to advance. He focused partially on blocking the attacks, and he was also watching for an opening. No matter how skilled the warrior, no matter how ferocious the attack, one who was on the offense always left opening to exploit. It just became a matter of experience and skill - whether one can see them or not.
Finally, a chance came. With a powerful downward slash, Sephiroth rapidly evaded to the side. If his calculations were correct, the weight of the blade, as well as its momentum, will cause Caius's footing to slip - slightly, as he was an experienced warrior, but enough for Sephiroth to make use of. Once he was at Caius's side, he gave a single slash, but with that slash came a multitude of invisible slashes coming from the path of his Masamune. Less experienced warriors would have been shredded to bits by that slash. Even more experienced warriors would have difficulty blocking them.
However, Sephiroth was not done. While Caius was busy dealing with those slashes, Sephiroth took to the air, high above him. Then aiming his sword downward, he plummeted. It might be an easy move to see coming, but if Caius decided to remain on the ground, Sephiroth would land near him, the ground around him exploding from the force of the impact. If Caius took to the air to dodge, Sephiroth would come out of the fall, swinging his blade, causing a powerful force to erupt around him. Either way, Sephiroth wanted to make sure every blow of his registered, for good or for ill.
This was not going to be an easy fight, and so Sephiroth had no intention of pulling any stops. After his last attack, he stayed in the air, his wing motionless yet effortlessly keeping him aloft. He wanted to see what his attacks did, and whether he would have to reassess his strategies. Still, meeting a swordsman as skillful as Caius... that was rather rare, and Sephiroth would have been greatly disappointed if that was all it took to end him.

The gravity wave Caius had sent didn’t seem to do much good, but Sephiroth had to use some form of energy to counter that and make an explosion meet right at the middle space between them. The clouds of dust fogged up Caius’ vision, but that’s when he made himself move a bit more, slowly, holding his blade out at arm’s length, positioning it downwards as he usually did in battle, not the typical thing you saw every day, but it was just his style. Then again, it wasn’t every day you met a man nearly as old as he was with the type of powers he had, still..this battle, only just begun had proven itself to be worthy of his time, all challenges were accepted, and many had been conquered by this…chaotic guardian of sorts, this however, proved to be quite the challenge, something he hadn’t gotten in many years.
Moving forward and taking matters into his own hands, Caius decided to lead the battle in strikes, swiping and slashing his sword this way and that, trying his best to land a hit on Sephiroth, but with such a skilled swordsman to deal with, it was easy to understand how all strikes had been blocked, but still, there was something Caius noticed, he’d gained ground, that was a start, wasn’t it? Lifting his large and heavy sword up to try and land one last difficult strike towards the silver haired man, he slammed it down into the ground, causing all sorts of little cracks to form on the pavement, but the momentum and force of his strike – as well as the weight of his sword – caused him to slip a little in his footing, but he’d carefully and quickly made up for his loss of balance, shifting slightly to the side as his violet eyes went from the ground and his sword towards Sephiroth, and in good timing too…otherwise he probably would’ve called that little slip in his step a major mistake.
Moving carefully away from the most intense of all the slashes Sephiroth delivered, Caius did feel the grazing of one slash towards his side, though nothing to worry about just yet, still…it stung, but to him it was nothing to cry over. After all, a little blood loss never hurt anyone, it wasn’t like he’d just gotten impaled, that would’ve been a different story. But yet, the fact that immortality played a role in his life was nice, it kept him moving knowing that it would be easy to heal up again. Collecting himself as the stinging of a grazed hit on his side still decided to throb and annoy him, Caius turned his eyes upwards, watching Sephiroth and smirking. Holding his sword out still, he blinked a few times, watching the oncoming attack from above, but as soon as Caius dropped his gaze to straight in front of him, he had disappeared from sight, using the power of Chaos and the heart that beat within his chest, he’d teleported merely a short distance away from the attack, turning and going to face his opponent, a worthy opponent at that.
Staring at the swordsman, Caius frowned, he wanted to take this planet and rid it of its timeline, as the battle was a good one and it would be hard to find another one worthy, this was still ‘wasting’ his time so to speak. The sooner he got rid of this fight, this obstacle in his way, then he would be one step closer to freeing Yeul from her fate as a Seeress. With a glow to his chest, where the heart of chaos rested, Caius’ eyes began to glow that same redish hue. Holding his sword out, the eye of bahamut also began to shine with that same glow. “Cast your shadow over all.” He spoke, the eye getting brighter as a cast of magic, much like the gravity blast had emerged. “Wings of night!” the attack flew towards Sephiroth, engulfing Caius into a cloud of darkess, surrounded by the chaos he controlled to be more exact. Even a few sparks like lightning were seen, and as the chaos faded, in his place was his faithful eidolon, the eidolon he had become one with to transform into. Chaos Bahamut. With a roar escaping the dark summon, Bahamut went forward, lifting his left clawed limb and slashing it towards the obstacle that stood in his way of freeing Yeul. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 837 Muse: Great! As Sephiroth expected, the man he was fighting would not go down so easily. Caius had regained enough of his footing to dodge most of his slashes - though one nicked him in the side. Not bad, but that was hardly a fatal wound. Sephiroth knew he didn't hit an artery so he wouldn't bleed to death either. And he had also dodged his Hell's Gate by teleporting. A simple, yet effective maneuver. Well, this was certainly turning out interesting.
Ever since the War of the Gods, Sephiroth did not have many powerful opponents. Cloud and perhaps Tifa were those who can match his strength at best, but since then, he had hardly encountered anyone worth fighting. Those he encountered were just too unskilled, too unexperienced. All of them powerless beneath his blade and command of magic. But this man... this man was different. Skilled, powerful, strong. But Sephiroth could see it in his eyes now - this man was getting impatient. He wanted this battle over with so he could continue with his goals. Sephiroth gripped Masamune tighter. He was ready for whatever happened.
Cast your shadow over all. Wings of night!
Before Sephiroth could react, he had to dodge the gravity blast, and therefore had no time to attack. He flew to the side and watched as the storm clouds surrounded Caius. His eyes narrowed... then widened slightly as he beheld Chaos Bahamut. A creature much larger than he was... no, was it a creature, or a machine? It seemed to be a mix of biological components and machinery. Biomechanical? Whatever the case, it did not matter right now. Despite its fierce appearance, Sephiroth gazed into its glowing eyes and knew without a doubt that this creature and that man were one and the same. The man merely transformed.
Sephiroth allowed himself to smirk a bit. This thing might be more powerful in terms of raw strength, but it was nevertheless a foolish, almost novice move.
The creature swiftly moved forward and swung its claw at Sephiroth, who flew below and dodged the blow. It was just as he thought. The large form gave a great deal of strength - he was buffeted slightly from the wind that the claws gave as it slashed - but the cost of such power was speed. It would mean that Sephiroth would have to be careful not to get hit and he would have to read his movements and dodge accordingly, but he had been doing that all his life. And besides, thanks to the reduced speed, it would be easier to dodge than if the stranger had stuck to his human form.
"Really, I had not expected such a foolish move," he commented from below, his tone giving a hint of disapproval. "A large form like that might increase your strength beyond what you already have, but what good is it, if you cannot land any attacks?" Sephiroth did not wait for a response - he did not care to. Turning Masamune face-up, he slashed powerfully upwards, his wings and momentum also carrying him up, resulting in a devastating uppercut.
But he was not done yet.
As soon as he had finished with the uppercut, he was a good deal higher than the creature now. Again aiming downward, he plummeted, aiming for the creature or at least near it, and ending the stab once he got close enough, allowing the sheer force of his swordsmanship to do the work. Whether it had worked or not, Sephiroth flew in close, a good deal closer than those claws could comfortably reach, and went into another combo of eight slashes - Octaslash. He was not giving Caius any room to breathe, any room to think. The movement impediment that Sephiroth perceived had made him in his eyes a sitting duck. And Sephiroth would make sure he would pay dearly for such a mistake.

Caius wasn’t one for just transforming into Bahamut for the fun of it. It proved a challenge to most people, in fact…he’d remembered the first time transforming in front of the knight of the goddess, the shock was always a fun reaction to witness, not that he could exactly comment or anything, but still…desperate times called for desperate measures, didn’t they? Bahamut was just a tactic one took to strike fear into the other opponent, or to squish them like a bug. After having been surrounded by the chaos he controlled, he’d transformed from himself into the eidolon he’d become one with. Chaos bahamut, and yes…he was going to give Sephiroth a run for his money, or at least he was going to try to. No matter how quick or good of a fighter one was, it was always difficult to take on a summon, especially one as skilled as Caius, he knew how to maneuver his summon-self fairly well, this would certainly be interesting to say the least.
With a quick movement forward, Caius had his clawed left hand raised, slashing at the ground and getting the claws to dig into the pavement, digging up some of the roadwork that had been done before pulling his claws from the ground, his glowing red eyes looking for the silver haired swordsman who stood in his way of freeing Yeul. When Sephiroth spoke, Caius merely let a snort come from his nose, he couldn’t talk, but he sure could react. ‘Foolish? It seems you’ve never faced the power of true chaos.’ He thought to himself while in this form, it was the only real way of communication he could make…not that anyone could read his mind or anything. Feeling the blunt effect of the uppercut, Caius had expected to be knocked around a bit, though it wasn’t too devastating, merely getting his sight off focus and knocking him around, it wasn’t as if he was being impaled and pulled from this form he’d chosen.
It was game on now.
With a slight roaring protest, Caius moved around, feeling the effect of a strike down on top of him mostly, it hurt, sure, but he wasn’t going to let this be the end of his bahamut run. He’d quickly changed into what one called ‘gestalt mode’, his body not being so easily targeted, him being able to move quicker and be able to attack faster in this mode. Flying upwards as the eight slashes had started coming towards him, he evaded that one at least, finding himself a bit of leg room and a chance to breath. Flipping over and aiming his mouth towards the ground, he formed a megaflare, ready and aiming at Sephiroth and whatever else was down on the ground. After releasing the megaflare, he formed back into Bahamut’s natural form, nearing the ground and feeling a fiery attack building up. Casting a few minor attacks much like the megaflare, he went forward again, slashing both claws at the swordsman, both hands into a swirl of clawed attacks. If one attack out of these few didn’t stick, then he was calling it quits and going back to his human form, at least then he could move faster…but still…the megaflare was mighty useful. Which in a few moments he could easily charge up another one, no one could avoid all attacks…not even the mightiest of warriors, not even Caius himself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 666 <-- o.o Muse: Goodish?
