At long last, Beecher had finally saved enough money to go on one of his beloved hunting trips, and oh dearie was he enjoying himself right now. So far, he’d only managed to kill a few innocent animals, but at least his lust for blood had been slightly sated. He needed more, but that wouldn’t be too difficult. There were large animals in this forest that were hard to take down by yourself, but more importantly, this seemed to be the hotspot for stupid travelers looking to make some money by robbing crypts and stealing forgotten treasures. How awful of them to disturb the dead, not even Ashley did that. He just disturbed the living and made them dead. There was a big difference there. Running and jumping over fallen trees and small cliffs and whatnot, Ashley felt the rush of life as he again caught up with a cute, fluffy bunny and twisted its neck. A roar of excitement escaped the man’s throat as he continued to run with the dead rabbit in his hand, waving it around like a treasure of his own. This was what it was all abouuuuut! This thrill! This excitement! Oh joy of all joys! His cheeks flushed a healthy pink. It wasn’t often that Beecher was happy, but today, he was happy. Very happy, and his mood was only improving with each little critter corpse he left in his wake. But as was usually the case, he soon grew weary of the tiny animals that didn’t even put up a fight. They were fun for a while, but Beecher wanted more. It was time for something bigger, something more ferocious… but where could he find such a creature?
About an hour later, Beecher had run through pretty much the entire forest, climbed every mountain around the area, and trampled every creature small enough to fit under his boot. But he still hadn’t found a satisfying kill. What a bummer, and he’d been so looking forward to this trip as well. It had better be worth it. With the thrill of the morning kills already worn off, it was back to stomping through the bush with a bored expression etched into his unintelligent face as he sought out better prey. Where were they at?! Why were they torturing him like this? WHY?! Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed one of the dead rabbits he’d captured this morning, and with a roar of rage, he hauled it over the treetops. But when it hit the ground, Beecher couldn’t help but be a little surprised. It didn’t sound like the corpse had landed on the ground… more like it had landed on another living creature. Aww yeaaah, he could turn this into a game! Throw corpses and whatever it landed on, he would kill! Maybe he could make a form of Russian roulette, where he occasionally threw living creatures as well, and if something or someone was fortunate enough to be hit by a living creature, they would be allowed to live until tonight, when he would still chase them down because Beecher couldn’t live with himself if he let someone walk away unscathed without at least trying to bring them down. Literally.
With a wicked grin once again finding its way back to his face, Ashley darted through the trees like a happy deer. He jumped up and grabbed onto a branch before swinging himself into the clearing he’d tossed the rabbit into. Oh yes, this was good! The rabbit had landed on a lady’s head. Nyes, nyes. Without wasting any time, Ashley let out a mighty battle roar and sprinted over to where the little lady was standing, keeping his arms reached out, ready for his famous choking attack. There had been a period of boredom, but it seemed the day had gone back to being beautiful. For him anyway, he imagined the day wouldn’t be so nice for the little lady. But then, Ashley couldn’t care less about what she wanted. So long as he had fun, that was all that mattered to him, and boy was he having fun right now! ---------------------------------- Words: 689 Tagged: Chloe! Location: Forest/near a mountain? Chloe was never taking directions from someone who was less than sober ever again. She was completely and hopelessly lost in some godforsaken forest. With a deep sigh, the Rozarrian native stopped dead in the middle of the woods, pushing her bangs away from her face as she moved a hand to clasp at the amulet she wore around her neck. It was the prize of the day, the treasure she had to find, but it would be nice to get it back to the one who had hired her to retrieve it. Gil was waiting for her, and if she didn’t make it back with good timing, it wasn’t unlikely that someone would change their mind and want a different shiny object somewhere out there across Ivalice. With a deep sigh, she tried to clear her head, not be so frustrated and get going again.
“Alright, so I passed this tree once…” she said looking at a funky looking tree that she had seen before, it was obvious that she’d been going in circles and it didn’t look like that was about to change for awhile now. Starting off, she just tried taking a new route stepping over a fallen over tree and jumping off of it to the other side, she spotted a bit of sunlight in the distance, a clearing by the looks of it. Picking up her pace until she was running, the amulet dangling around her neck as the weight of her RPG felt heavy on her back, Chloe made it to the clearing in a few seconds. She slowed her pace to a halt again and figured she was heading in a new direction, she hadn’t been here before. It was a pretty quiet spot and she figured that after as long as she had been traveling, she could take a small break. It wasn’t like it was going to get dark anytime soon or anything, but judging by the sky, it could potentially rain sometime soon. Scoffing at the thought of a little water hurting her, she wandered through the clearing and went to plop herself in the grass.
Until something hit her.
“Oi! Holy hell what the fu-“ she started as she grabbed at the fuzzy creature that had smacked her square in the face, and when she realized what it was and it’s status of life, she instantly tossed it away from her and frowned, her dark eyes searching the trees. Who the hell went around throwing dead bunnies at people!? Someone out here was a first class crack pot and she decided then that it wasn’t wise to hang out here. It was then she saw and heard a man leap from the trees into the clearing, which not only startled her, but it made her take a step back. He was bulky and quite…odd looking, but not towering, they had to be the same height. That mighty battle roar he let escape his lips nearly deafened the treasure hunter, but her attention wasn’t on her hearing as it was on his charging towards her to…obliterate her into dust or something. With widened eyes, Chloe ducked down and rolled her way to the side to avoid being choked to death before she quickly leaped to her feet, pulling her rocket launcher from her back and targeting the big guy who’d made quite the appearance. “Take another step towards me big fella, I dare ya. I haven’t gotten to use this bad boy in quite some time, it’d be a shame to waste the opportunity.” She said in a grim tone with quite the smirk across her face.
When it came to Chloe and explosions, it was no laughing matter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 717 Muse: Great! Tagged: Ashley Wearing: Look at my icon? Listening To: Pink Notes: I'm excited for this thread for lulz.

Beecher was ecstatic. He’d come here to hunt animals, and though he hadn’t found any of the bigger ones that tended to roam here – probably because they had gone extinct during his last trip – he’d found something much, much better. No animal, but a human being. They were so much more fun to fight than animals were, animals acted out of instinct, humans tended to have far more varied and interesting responses to being choked or body-slammed or whatever else took his fancy that day. Choking took his fancy this day, and so he merrily raced her way, hands outstretched to get the job done. His world seemed like it was going in slow-motion, flowers and kitties and sunshine appeared in the corners of his eyes as his entire mood brightened to the point where he was actually smiling. He was so excited for this, he could just die of happiness! …and then the prey ducked to the side, and Ashley failed to realize it in time, coming to a clumsy halt a few steps behind where she’d originally stood as he almost tripped over his own feet, and… actually did. One foot hooked behind the other, and the rather short but bulky looking man went stumbling to the ground, face planting into the dirt and staying there, unmoving for a little while to lull her into a false sense of safety before jumping back to his feet and grinning wickedly as he already had his hands up and choke-ready again. When he spotted her holding a weapon, and when he heard her making threats, he let out a bellowing laugh and stared at her with large, widened eyes as he cackled in amusement. This was pure gold! She was actually putting up a fight instead of just slumping down to the ground, making a miserable heap of human being out of herself and sob-begging him to let her go! Fun though that was too, he preferred a little more action to his kills. He was a blessed man today, oh yes he was!
He did drop his hands to his sides when he realized just how big the gun was though, and simply turned around and walked away from her as though he’d completely lost interest. Without even saying another word, he wandered over to the thick foliage of the trees and hopped over a fallen branch before disappearing out of sight. Just because Beecher was out of sight though, didn’t mean he wasn’t around. He was very much around, he was just… waiting… waiting for the right moment to charge. He loved that look of horror and shock whenever he surprised one of his victims, and hopefully this woman would show that same expression when he jumped her next time. Ever the strategist, Ashley walked a fair distance away from where he’d left the woman, and then stealthily climbed a tree… or tried to, anyway. Sadly, Beecher was no tree-creature, and his stature was not impressive enough to let him just jump up and grab onto a branch and haul himself up there to wait like the stalking assassin he believed himself to be. His legs swung back and forth, and the most bizarre of grunts escaped his throat as he attempted to climb his way up the tree, unaware of the fact that he was still in the woman’s line of sight because the foliage wasn’t quite thick enough to hide his form entirely. “HUUURGH!!!” he roared as he hung upside down on a large branch, his face turning red from exertion. Why wasn’t this tree cooperating with his brilliant scheme? His anger soon returned, and rather than just giving up or finding some other way to handle this situation, Beecher simply let go of the branch and landed hard on his back. He was pretty strong though, so he quickly stood back up despite the unceremonious fall to the ground. With gritted teeth, he glared at the tree that had foiled his plans, and without even thinking the action through, Ashley pulled his upper body back, and then shot his head and his upper body forward to headbutt the tree to death. The tree’s bark turned out to be harder than Beecher’s head though, and he soon regretted his action when the momentum of his attack sent him reeling backwards onto his ass, and finally to his back. A large bluish bruise was already forming on his forehead, and a small trickle of blood pooled down the balding hairline as he lay there, seemingly unconscious for the time being. ---------------------------------- Words: 763 Tagged: Chloe!
