[Okay, so uhm... This is a post I did a bit back on another site with Larsa. It was a thread with Drace, they were walking together and, yeah. xD I hope it's okay. /fidgets nervously.)]

"Do not worry, my lord. This shall not take attention in any way."
"...Thank you, Drace." Larsa nodded, his voice soft. Exhaling slightly, the young lord closed his eyes for a few brief moments, black lashes resting against porcelain cheeks. It was at times like this when he was reminded of just how fragile he actually was. Soft skin, fragile bones wrapped around a determined and strong spirit. But sometimes, spirit simply was not enough to keep one safe. But at the same time, Larsa was a lucky young man, to have such a strong guardian, who would keep him safe no matter what came his way. Still, he knew that she would not be around him forever... So it was important that he learn how to look after himself, to be able to protect himself despite what life might throw at him unexpectedly.
But of course, Drace was helping him with that also. With both magic and the rapier that had been given to him about roughly one or so year ago before. The Joyeuse... it was a beautiful sword, moved fluidly when handled correctly and was as sharp as the wind, so to speak. It fit it's title well, the sword of victory, named well for that joy that comes in success. Although right now, he wasn't having so much success with it as he would like. He trained hard, studied hard, worked hard, but it seemed like he still had a ways to go before being able to handle that rapier as well as he wanted to. But of course, he still had a long ways to go. Training every week at least once a day with it though, he was slowly starting to get a better handle on it.
His sweeps were smoother, each move flowing more easily into one another. Jabs, thrusts, parries and guards, there was so much to remember all at once. Yet the more he worked at it, the easier it became, moves becoming more instinctive and automatic. Wrly, he thought back to the first time that he had been given the rapier. Barely able to even hold it up, he still had tried to use it and ended up getting a small cut on his right hand's palm. The scar was still there, to this day, and it reminded him to continue to work hard on his learning and studies.
Still mulling over his thoughts, Larsa continued to walk alongside Drace. Both of them were quiet, yet even so, it was not awkward. That was simply because the two of them knew one another well and were good friends, student and mentor so even walking alongside like this, not speaking, was comfortable. It was pleasant, and he was glad to have such a relationship with his mentor.
Turning to her, eyes upward as she spoke once more, Larsa refocused his attention on her. He had always loved this part of the garden best, and even in winter it retained some of it's regal and unique beauty. Of course it did look much better during the spring, summer and fall, a gorgeous bonquet of flowers and marble statues. Surprised by her words, the young lord quirked a brow. "A gift?" He asked, softly. "What's the occasion?" Giving a light chuckle, he watched as she pulled out something wrapped in a velvet red cloth. Long and thin, by the looks of it, with an interesting shape. Glancing briefly back up at Drace, Larsa tilted his head slightly. He wasn't expecting to recieve a gift of any sort.
Letting out a soft, appreciative noise as the red cloth was pulled out of the way, to reveal a dagger that surely must have no equal. It was simple, but beautiful at the same time. This was an instance where more did not mean better. Just in it's simplicity was it more a more beautiful piece of work. Certainly a dagger that he would be proud to own. Taking it carefully, Larsa looked it over, a small happy smile gracing his lips. "Thank you, it's beautiful." His voice was tinged with amusement as he spotted his own name engraved upon it. A blade for himself and no other. Looking back up at her, Larsa nodded slightly. "Yes, I would appreciate that greatly." Such a dagger as this should not be left upon a shelf to collect dust.
