Rolling up the sleeves to his shirt as he pushed back his hair, Tseng popped the trunk to his car. Smirking he then moved to the back seat and opened up the door as he pulled a dolly from it, shutting the door. Moving back around to the trunk he pulled from it three very large boxes. Placing them on the dolly he closed the trunk and wheeled the dolly up to the sidewalk. This was his enjoyment for the day, checking in on Reno had not been a highlight of the hour, but giving him work was. Letting the wheels roll across the pavement Tseng continued to walk up to the complex door’s. He let his back upon them as he stepped inside and let the dolly in behind him. Hearing the elevator drop to the floor he rolled it inside, pressing whichever button he knew to be the floor of Reno. He knew that Reno had had it hard since she had left. It was not that hard to tell when Reno was down and out, and that was because Cissnei was gone persay. That was something that Tseng had not yet experienced, but it he knew that the younger Turk had been taking it hard. Hell, he would have too.
But now since there was a baby involved, Reno had to step up his game. That child was not going to take care of itself. His intentions on why he was here would simply to be to drop off this work and part ways, but something told him that was not just the case here. As the doors to the elevator opened up, he stepped outside and into the hallway. This was not something that he enjoyed doing, in fact he was sure that Elena had swayed him into dropping off this work by himself, or by his own hand rather. And that by seeing himself, Reno would somehow pop into fatherhood as if it were that easy. With a shake of his head he stared at the door to the apartment for a moment, that was until he heard crying, not that from Reno, but of the child. He dropped the fist that was just about to knock on the door back to his side as he then leaned up against the door frame. They needed bonding time anyway.
Letting a hand rest on his chin as he watched a few people walk by him, he gave a gentle wave of his hand as they passed. Turning to look to the door again, the crying had stopped, he reached a hand out and knocked on the door this time. Pushing the dolly out of view for the moment, Tseng stood outside the door as he waited for it to be open, that is if the father had not dropped the child in the toilet, fell in the toilet himself, or anything else that would be considered dangerous in a mothers eyes. With a small smirk at that thought and a shake of his head he waited until the door was open fully, not paying attention to Reno for the moment, he then gave him a smile as he reached to his left gripping the handle to the dolly and pulling it out in front of him. “You can thank me now, Reno.” He said with a small nod of his head as he flipped off the lid to one of the boxes, showing the paperwork that was inside, filled to the brim. He peered back up to Reno, “For making you wish that you were back to work.” Tseng stated with a half serious, half joking tone of voice.

Fact was, Reno was going to die sometime soon.
Or at least that’s what he thought was going to happen. With an exasperated sigh escaping his lips, the redhead had finally gotten a chance to lay down, not exactly in the way he figured, but it was a chance to rest a little wasn’t it? As he laid on the sofa within his apartment, a small baby resting on his stomach and chest as he’d landed there a few moments previously – Zayden finding it comfortable there and falling asleep – he simply put his arms behind his head and closed his eyes. This was okay, she wasn’t crying and Reno wasn’t dying slowly on the inside…at least not right now. He was still lacking so much sleep lately it was unreal. It was a miracle the redhead hadn’t keeled over from being so tired lately, and it still wasn’t good that he wasn’t getting a helping hand, but hey, that was the life of a single parent wasn’t it? At least he’d had Kylie’s help a few days ago. That seemed so far away right now.
With a deep breath, Reno just felt himself drifting to sleep. Good god if Reno had the chance he’d easily go to sleep and not wake up for a couple of days. Forcing himself to open his eyes, he simply stared at the ceiling and tried to relax himself for a moment, thinking about everything that was going on and everything that had happened lately, it was all one big mess after another wasn’t it? Maybe Reno and Cissnei had a doomed life together, and all those problems they had before marriage was simply a warning, a warning they didn’t heed and now they were paying the price? Shaking his head slightly, he didn’t move much, not wanting to disturb Zayden, but he sure as hell didn’t want to continue thinking about he and Cissnei’s misfortune. Zayden wasn’t a misfortune, he’d call her a blessing…a crying, eating and burping blessing. Or something like that. He loved the child sure, but it was a damn big job to be a parent and do everything that came along with it, along with maintaining a job. This was the real world…and Reno didn’t have any play time left to himself, he needed to grow up sooner or later, but all at once? That was quite the leap he’d made.
Reno was startled by a sound, his eyes having closed again and he’d actually drifted to sleep for a few minutes, but hearing the sound of his baby girl crying next to his face woke him from that peaceful sleep he’d found himself in, if only for a few minutes. Sitting up carefully and adjusting the baby so that she was sitting in his lap, Reno had a worried frown on his face, holding her and trying to see what was wrong. She didn’t need to be changed, or fed, or burped, all that other baby stuff…what was wrong? Now would be a good time for Rufus to walk through the door, he did seem to have the magic touch in getting Zayden to be quiet. And that was when he heard the door knock. Reno sighed heavily in frustration, wanting to hit his head against a wall or something. Looking at Zayden and in a quiet pleading voice, Reno gently held onto her. “Pleaseeee stop crying?” he requested, and much to his surprise, the girl silenced herself, allowing Reno a moment of peace….as he went to the door at least.
Wobbling over to the door in pure exhaustion, Reno opened the door and instantly stepped to the side, seeing Tseng come in with a dolly…oh…hell…to…the…no. Reno was ready to break down and start crying just like the baby had. With a look of ‘are you kidding me?’ going towards the leader of the Turks, Reno just…he was ready to strangle someone. “I can…thank you? REALLY? CAN I OH WONDERFUL BOSSMAN?” Reno said in a bit of a strained tone. “I know Rufus gave me a bit of a break from work…and I said I’d do extra after awhile, but seriously Tseng? Do you hate me or something?” he asked in a serious tone, this was just too much. If this baby alone didn’t kill Reno, then work would too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 839 Muse: Great! Tagged: Tseng! Wearing: I’ll link something later? The pure look on Reno's face was indeed priceless. Even though he did not show it, he in fact loved to just harass the crap out of his fellow Turk's, but he loved them none the less, it was an all out mutual feeling that they were indeed a family of sorts. They had all been cut out from their own in a way, and this was just how it was for them. He arched a brow at the words that came from Reno's mouth, a small smirk appeared on his face as he started to roll the dolly past Reno and into the next area. "Well, don't thank me just yet, wait till next week, then you can thank me all you want." He replied as he parked the dolly. People had often asked him why he chose Reno as Second in Command, but he did not have to answer to anyone for his actions, except for Rufus, and well that was a blessing in itself. Him and Rufus had a good understanding of things and on the same level, if one did not agree, well they talked it out, and did not fuss and fight about it. Tseng then turned to look at Reno and the child in his arms.
Pulling a piece of paper from his pocket he held it up so Reno could see it, "You see, these work orders were in fact signed by the man himself." Tseng told him, and that there was a genuine signature at the bottom of the paper. "So, I would like to think that he is helping you out per say." Tseng told him with a small smirk on his lips as his eyes glanced at the child again. It was hard to see Reno anyway, much less with a kid in his arms. Tseng had never thought of the Turk's as parent material, but it was what it was. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he began to stroll around the living room. As he approached the mantle piece he pulled a hand from his pocket letting a finger slide across it, then he looked to confirm. "Did anyone ever hand you a duster?" He asked with a small shake of his head as he wiped the dust onto his pants. It was partly his job to give the man grief, even if it did hurt his pride.
Letting his heels turn again he looked back to Reno, "But in all seriousness, are you doing alright?" He questioned as he still then walked about the living room and now into the kitchen. Tseng had always been a very clean man, and seeing even a few dishes in the sink was driving him crazy, maybe he did have a little bit of OCD. But he did need to know if his Second was doing alright, with all that had been happening, the kidnapping, and Cissnei. He had thought that Reno might have broken by now, but he had been wrong. Of course with everyone in suits checking in on him, he was happy to see that Reno was getting taken care of. The thought of seeing one of his own in a state that was not so pretty, it sent a shiver up his spine. It was hard enough seeing the go through the things that they had already been though.

This was so fucking ridiculous.
If Reno wasn’t stressed and pissed off enough before Tseng’s arrival…he sure as hell was now! The expression on his face was forced though, he didn’t want to start flying off the deep end on one of his bosses as it was. He had a job, it gave him pay so he could support this smaller family, and he wanted to keep it. He was already running off of no sleep so…what the hell. He could continue this schedule like a crazy person and in about two weeks he’d keel over dead from it all. No big deal, I mean…if anything, Kylie would do nice at taking care of Zayden. “I think my thanks would be very sarcastic. Just sayin’.” He shrugged slightly as his tone was a bit bitter, he wasn’t thrilled with all of this paperwork coming to his door, but maybe he could ask Kylie to babysit so he could get some sleep…if he could recover for one night…then maybe he’d be ready to go for awhile again. It was hard enough without Cissnei around, but when he had to be up at all hours of the night and day due to this baby…and now this paperwork…Reno really might die from exhaustion.
Taking a glance away from his leader, Reno just held onto Zayden and did his best to keep his mouth shut instead of saying something he would regret in the long run. He was simply tired, cranky as hell and there was no one who needed to feel the wrath of that. With a deep sigh, he took a short glance at the paper and rolled his eyes, not hiding that one very well. “Obviously the idea of a break was too much for the guy t’ handle, hm?” he said sarcastically before shaking his head and freeing a hand to wave it around, as if to dismiss his words. Tseng didn’t need his attitude, but Reno didn’t need this giant load of responsibility…topped with another giant load of responsibility. This man a few days ago had been practically a child himself, a cocky and very laidback individual who enjoyed a good chuckle almost every day. Now it wasn’t even possible to get a smile out of him. He’d lost Cissnei, gained a baby, and now all of this work…what was his life becoming these days? He sure as hell didn’t know, but he didn’t like it one bit.
Where was Cissnei when you needed her?
When Tseng spoke up again, a sense of seriousness instead of throwing work at him…Reno looked towards him and watched as he moved around the apartment. How was he doing? How was he supposed to be doing at a time like this? Feeling a saddened smirk form on his lips, he let out a half-laugh as he adjusted Zayden in his arms. “Is that a trick question, bossman? I’ve lost my wife, gained a responsibility I never imagined I’d have, and I have a tough job to maintain. How do you think I’m doing?” his tone was level, even and not hostile at all. In all seriousness, Reno wondered what went through the heads of his co-workers. Sure he was Second in Command, a fantastic Turk at that…but he wasn’t invincible. He couldn’t handle everything. He was simply holding up a juggling act that was getting ready to fail. Shaking his head and sighing a bit, he remained where he was, his eyes moving from the apartment and Tseng to the sleeping baby in his arms. “All and all, sir. I wish I was doin’ better, but that ain’t really an option right now, hm?” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 720 Muse: Good! Tagged: Tseng Wearing: Linked? or something?
