Tilting his head curiously, Kuja approached the glowing apparition that appeared before him. His Silver Dragon lowered its head and growled, clearly startled by the portal's abrupt appearance, causing the Angel of Death to chuckle quietly. He could feel the power emanating from the portal, and he reached out a hand curiously. "What...is this?" It crackled as his hand connected with the energy, and he stared at his hand with a growing smile. What power!
All Kuja knew at that point was that he wanted to see what it would do. Would he be able to absorb this new power? What kind of magic held it in place? Or...maybe this was one of the gateways to the other worlds. Though he had kept his distance, he had seen more and more strangers as of late. Some were clearly not even human, and they spoke of different worlds. Letting out a laugh as the possibilities flowed through him, he turned to his mount. "Come, Silver Dragon. Let us see what awaits us! The curtain will rise once more!" His voice rose in a crescendo as he also raised his hands dramatically, indicating the rising 'curtain'.
Using the dragon's leg to make his way to its back, Kuja settled comfortably at the base of the creature's tail. "Let's go." Though it was clearly nervous, the Silver Dragon stretched its wings out before leaping into the portal. Expecting to see dazzling lights as he made his way through to the other side, Kuja was sorely disappointed when all he saw was black. In addition to that, the trip was for too quick. He let out a sigh of frustration when they exited the portal, which vanished with a hiss once they were free. "Interesting." he commented with a raised eyebrow.
Adjusting his hair from the trip, Kuja looked around curiously. This planet...looked very much like Gaia. How boring. But perhaps he could find something useful here. With that thought in mind, he urged the feathered dragon forward to explore this new land. There was nobody in sight, which suited him just fine. Now he could do what he wanted, and nobody would be able to stop him. Not that they could if they tried.
After some aimless wandering, the pair came to another glowing point. This one was different, though. Sliding easily from the dragon's back, Kuja approached the magic curiously. Holding out his hand, he blinked in surprise when the power he had felt shifted to him. He looked down at his hand, and wracked his brain trying to figure out what had just happened. It was a little colder now, and he smirked as an idea came to him.
There was a tree behind the Silver Dragon that would be the perfect test subject. Holding his hand out, Kuja already felt something stirring inside of him. "Blizzard." Ice seemed to shoot from his hand and envelop the tree in front of him. It was a rather weak ice spell, but it was the first time he had cast such magic! Giggling lightly, he quickly moved back to the Silver Dragon and hopped back up onto its back. "Come! We must find more of these points! Ascend, Silver Dragon!" Perhaps if they took to the air, he would be able to see them better. The Silver Dragon spread its wings once more, and with a running start leapt into the air, pinions beating madly to gain altitude. This should give me a better view of the planet as well.

Zell balanced himself, keeping his weight evenly dispersed along the T-board as he felt it almost ready to take off. His expression was very concentrated as he stared forward before shooting a glance towards the brunette whom he was teaching. This was day two of their T-board lessons…Selphie had been bugging him about teaching her how to t-board, and Zell had wanted to, now was as good of time as ever! He had started with the blunt basics here a short while back, the same day he’d woken up with her in his bed due to nightmares, the same day he’d taken her to go see trains, and…well, yep, all and all a good day. Today was all about the more advanced techniques when it came to T-boarding. Who better to show Selphie than the master of T-boarding himself? Boy she was going to owe him for all of this later! Maybe they could go grab a bite to eat…some hotdogs or something-
…food, it just always seemed to be on the blonde’s mind.
“Okay, so watch carefully. We can work on this a few times, it’s all in the technique.” Bending his knees slightly, the t-board took off quickly and Zell pushed his weight forward, flipping the t-board forward and doing a flip before balancing his weight again, heading straight forward before turning himself around to head back towards Selphie. He had just shown her how to do a front flip on the t-board without doing a nosedive into the ground. Hopping off the board and tucking it under his arm, he grinned while looking at Selphie, feeling very confident he wanted her to learn these things, that way when someone asked who had taught her how to ride one of these so well – not on campus because…teachers would then get even more angry at Zell than they already did when it came to t-boarding – she would be able to tell them that Zell taught her! Boy today was going to be another great day! Spending all this time with Selphie…it was so nice, and it made Zell very happy as well. He liked spending time with her…they were best friends after all, but…baaaah this was one thing Zell didn’t want to worry about today. No feelings, no thoughts, just…t-boarding!
Holding out the t-board towards Selphie, Zell then took a step back, folding his arms across his chest before he plopped on the ground, crossing his legs to sit criss cross. “Just remember to move your weight around in the direction you want the board to go. It’s easy, and I have complete and total faith in you Selphie! Can you imagine the look on Squall’s face if we were to ride up and show him our skills? He’ll be jealous-“ a rustle in the trees caught Zell’s attention, it was a giant gust of wind that Zell hadn’t expected or heard all day. Looking up into the sky from the small field clearing within a bit of a foresty area outside of Balamb Garden, he lifted a hand to shield his eyes from the sun as a formation caught his eye. A large formation, it looked like…a dragon! A…dragon…here?! Feeling his jaw drop as he pointed with his other hand, he wasn’t even sure what to say. Hopefully Selphie was seeing exactly what he was seeing as well, because if he was going crazy from being out here in the sun too long…his imagination was really running wild.
How the heck…was a dragon here?! If it was going to attack…someone needed to do something! But what could Zell do against a dragon? He fought with his fists, Selphie fought with her chakrams…that wasn’t going to stand up against a dragon. Whatever was going to happen…all Zell could do was stand there with his jaw feeling like it was going to hit the ground.

Selphie knit her brows in concentration when Zell started to explain to her yet again what she should do. Though this was the second day, she still had a long ways to go to be at the same level that Zell was. She’d been bugging him for awhile now to actually teach her what to do and how to T-board, and was thankful that he was finally taking the time and effort to do so. It would take a lot of practice…but she would get it down yet! While Zell demonstrated, she nodded wildly up and down, chestnut hair bouncing to and fro while she did so, her hands clasped in front of her. “Okay Zelly!”, she eagerly agreed when he said that she should watch him. Okay! She could totally get this…even if it killed her. EVEN IF IT KILLED HER-…or something…well you know what she meant. Right? Right!
Selphie squealed in delight when Zell bent his knees and pushed off before her eyes. “Oh you did it!” Though she’d seen him do it…probably a hundred times by that time, it still amazed her every time she saw how fluid he was at it. It seemed to come so naturally for him! Though…she supposed it should, since he had been doing it for so long now. Oh man! She was just happy that she could learn now, even if the people and teachers around Garden didn’t like it so much. Well they were all just a bunch of old fuddy duddies that didn’t have any idea how to have a really fun time! Yeah! That’s exactly what they were! Her and Zell were just there trying to have real fun and they were just trying to mess it all up, which really made them meanie faces…ruining all the fun like that! Were they going to take trains away too next? Well that would be the last straw if they did…
In excitement she grasped at the T-board that he handed her, more than willing to give it another try herself. She would become just as good with this as he was! They could have races around Garden and stuff if she could manage…oh man, that just sounded like a blast! Any fun was worth taking the time to learn something, at least she thought so. While she placed the T-board down toward the ground, Selphie placed a foot on the board and kept one on the ground to stabilized herself while she listened to his last second commands. He’d told her all of this stuff before, but she had a tendency to forget about them when something interesting came alone to distract her. While he spoke, she just started to giggle. “Oh yeah! Squally’s gonna be sooooo oober jealous! I can’t wait to see him when we both come up- Oh Zell, you need to help me pick out a T-board of my ow-…” She had been talking right along with him when he stopped. She heard the noise at the same time he did, whirling her head around to look in the direction the noise was coming from. “Zelly?”, she squeaked out, before the gust of wind knocked her off the T-board. With another squeak, she stepped on the ground funny and ended up flopping over before she popped back up, brushing herself off with her hands while her green eyes remained glued to the dragon. “Zeeeeeeelllly! Can you see it too?!”, she whispered out while she bounded over toward him and tugged at his sleeve.
“Ooooh noooo!”, she moaned out, before bouncing around on the tips of her toes. “I hope it’s friendly…” Yeah right…friendly. Of course it wouldn’t be friendly! Nothing with big teeth and claws turned out to be friendly in their history, so why were things going to change now? They probably wouldn’t…so…oh boy. “Do you think it saw us yet?”, she loudly whispered out, wondering if there was a chance that they could get back to Balamb Garden without being detected to tell Squally about it.

As they soared over the seemingly tame land, Kuja started off by staring over the Silver Dragon's shoulder at the ground. It was extremely similar to Gaia. How boring! Eventually he gave up and leaned back so he was sitting tall on his mount. "Keep your eyes open for anything interesting." he advised, as he watched the clouds pass them by. They were at least different. The Genome held out his hand running it through the dense cloud that they were passing through, watching as it split at his touch. He rather liked seeing that.
A low growl sounded from his dragon's mouth, and Kuja leaned a little closer. "Hmm?" Draping himself over the long neck, he looked down to see what had caught the Silver Dragon's attention. The feather that adorned his head was blowing in the wind, and he could feel it desperately trying to pull free. Fortunately, it was secured well enough and didn't blow away. "What do you see?"
Below them, a man and a woman were...flying? Kuja brought a hand up to hover over his mouth in silent awe before his lips curled into a smile. Maybe this place isn't so boring after all! Running a hand over the glossy feathers (which incidentally is where the one in his hair came from), he gave his mount a light pat. "Silver Dragon, descend!" He wanted to learn more about the flying humans. What gave them that power? Humans couldn't fly...
The giant creature tilted its wings and circled around to find a decent place to land. The area was open enough that there were plenty of options, but the dragon had been with Kuja long enough to know that its master wanted to be close...just not too close. Eventually they touched down and the dragon bent to allow Kuja to slide from its back. Letting out a contented purring sound, the massive creature folded its legs under it and laid down, keeping one eye on the strangers that were close by. It would still act as a bodyguard for the Angel of Death, even though the Genome needed no such help. He had enough power on his own.
Kuja trailed his hand over the feathers of the Silver Dragon as his other finger came up to his mouth. Gently clasping the tip of his index finger in his teeth, he came to a decision. He would talk to these humans. If they were from this world, they would be able to explain the oddities of this place, from the strange machines (for he could now see that it was some sort of device that had gotten the girl airborne), to the magical energy he had absorbed earlier. "Wait here, Silver Dragon." he commanded quietly. As much fun as it would be, it would do him no good to scare off the first natives he had seen. They were no threat to him.
Tightening his tail around his waist (where it was hidden away by his clothing), he pushed his hair back so it was out of his face. Allowing an easy smile to touch his lips, one that had disarmed so many, he slowly approached the human pair. "Hello." he greeted casually. "This seems like an interesting sort of place." They seemed wary of him, and he only hoped that they would lower their guard soon. "I've never seen anything like that before. What is it?" As he asked about the device, he pointed to where it had been abandoned, giving his head a tilt of vulnerability. Humans tended to eat that up. Stupid beings.
Glancing over at the pair, he offered them another smile. "I'm sorry! I haven't introduced myself! My name is Kuja. We, " he indicated the resting dragon he had left behind, "are new here." There, maybe that will get them talking.

Not only was it a good day to be outside, but it was also a good day to show off in front of a pretty girl. Selphie had wanted to learn how to board like Zell and now she was getting the chance to get lessons from him up close and personal. He was going to show her everything he knew, or at least the basics of what he knew so long as neither she nor he hurt themselves. With a cheeky grin on his face as he started to show Selphie how to do a basic flip forward, Zell felt more than proud of himself he was cocky and way too confident for his own good. At least this little brunette would bet the best instructions he could ever hope to offer. It all seemed to be going okay for the most part, Zell had given her a good example to follow, his own personal example, and she seemed eager to get started, just as eager as he was to see her do that front flip on hi t-board. With an encouraging smile towards the brunette, Zell was ready, watching carefully and waiting for her to get going. The sooner she got this little trick down the sooner he could show off again.
It didn't seem like Selphie would get the chance to do anything really. Zell's attention had been grabbed by the sound in the air, and the sight of something rather large and almost scary looking upon first glance. A dragon? Was this for real? Zell just couldn't believe his eyes. It wasn't every day you came across a dragon flying in the sky. T-boarding would have to wait until later. Standing there like an idiot with his jaw open slightly, the blonde then felt a tug on his sleeve just as Selphie's words began to register into hid brain. "Yeah I'm seeing this! I don't even know what to think right now. This is...weird. if it isn't friendly...I think maybe we should head back to Garden and warn Squall." Zell spoke with uncertainty in his voice. This really was something different...who else was supposed to deal with things like this? SeeDs of course. If anyone could handle this possible hostile dragon...it would be these two. Or at least that's what Zell hoped would be the case.
Seeing the dragon descend, Zell shot a quick look towards Selphie and spoke ever so quietly. "Yeah...I think he saw us." well this was the moment of truth wasn't it? It was time to find out what this dragon was all about and where it came from. Though Zell wasn't sure he wanted to get that up close and personal with something so large and vicious looking. He felt a sense of chivalry though, putting himself up a step ahead of Selphie but not guarding her completely, he wanted to make sure she would be the least likely of the two to get hit by any sort of attack. Call that his heroic side...it definitely had a way of showing itself...just like right now, and hopefully no matter what happened...this...heroism paid off in the end.
And now there was a new face to add to the mix. He looked odd in every single way, but if there was something Zell had learned over time...it was that you were to never judge a book by its cover. Still...a man kike this...riding a dragon? Part of him was already making a first impression of this guy, whoever he was. When he approached and spoke, Zell blinked for a second, unsure if he should even respond. He was still in shock of what it was he was seeing. But when the man introduced himself and how he and this dragon were new here, that's when Zell decided it would be best to reply then. "Um. I'm Zell...and this is Selphie. That thing is called a T-board. a brief introduction as well as answering Kuja's question. What more was he really supposed to say? This was just...so weird, it actually made the martial artist quiet.
