The odd yellow light that occupied his visor was fixated forward, as if a single eye forever locked on what was directly before his visor. His actual eyes, hidden in the shadow of his helmet, were closed in deep thought. He could practically feel the rising of a new Cycle coming, and it troubled him deeply. He had thought it finally over for good. Perhaps foolish, but it was, as always, a nice hope to entertain.
The constant fighting....it was not a thing he enjoyed. Moreso he was saddened and grieved by being pitted against those who would perhaps be his allies or even -- even in his own thoughts the word did not come easily -- friends. Though what he disliked most of all, perhaps, was resorting to using the Manikins. The creatures were....strange; foreign and their mere presence disturbed him on some level he could not adequately define.
Even now he could sense the presence of the soulless crystal creatures crawling into the world. Crawling into where they did not belong and had no place. It was of no concern to him...not at the moment. He had other business to occupy his mind. Though at the feeling of the crystalline things growing ever nearer to him, he could already tell...it was going to be made his problem.
"What purpose do you have for this intrusion?"
The question was pointless, he knew; the Manikins were mindless. They were only capable of one thing. As distasteful as it was, far be it from him to deny them what they sought.
His eyes flashed open, and with a whirl of movement his arms flew from their casual position hidden among the folds of his cape, up before him and he spun to one side. The whirling of his cape knocked one of the crystalline beasts to the dirt, and his splayed-fingered hands caught another, hurling it away. There were only a handful of them...relatively easy enough to contend with. It was never an even battle against Manikins, with their absence of fear and restraint, but they weren't especially smart.
His hands coming to rest before his chest, palms facing each other above and below, a sphere of energy formed between his hands. It pulsed purple and black, glowing with sparks of red and gold. His eyes roved over the group as they circled about him. "I would suggest you leave now...." The sphere of magic in his hands was launched forward, impacting one of the Manikins like a meteor and blowing it to crystalline powder with a concentrated explosion. "...but I am not so foolish as that."
A whirl of his cape and he vanished, reappearing some several meters away, no longer surrounded by the encircling Manikins. Four of them remained -- still not a pleasant prospect to engage in a battle -- but at least now they all came from one direction. "I do not enjoy wasting my words." His hands clasped, fingers interlocking, and he stretched his fingers, cracking the joints, before spreading his arms out to either side, magical energy crackling in each of his open palms. "...on those incapable of understanding their meaning."
