Amelia gave a sigh. She was one of the last employees tonight. The Gold Chocobo was just about ready to close. Unfortunately, she wasn't done getting ready to leave. She still had some customers present so she wasn't about to just up and leave them. Any gil was good and she knew that the tips would help. Thanks to her manager, who was a kindly woman despite the boss man being a complete opposite, Emily and Mia were out back. Amelia couldn't leave them by themselves at home and had them come to her workplace after school. Right now, they were out back, watching a movie on the small television screen in the lounge for employees.
Now, it was just a matter of time, waiting for the people here to finish up with their meals. Of course, Amelia was in no rush tonight. Her sisters didn't have school tomorrow since it was Friday. She also didn't have to come early tomorrow to work either so it wasn't that bad for her. Still, she was mindful of the fact that the facility wasn't even considered closed just yet because there was just a few minutes before no one could come in anymore.
While she was waiting for her customers, Amelia would occasionally wander over to one and ask them how their meal was going and if there was anything else that she could get for them. She was tired but she prevailed. Amelia was always working hard like this and a few minor aches and pains didn't bring her down. It was all necessary to support her younger siblings and herself. If she didn't keep going, everything could collapse for them and then that would be the end of that. Amelia didn't want to see their family getting split up or at least what was left of it. With their parents dead, Amelia had to grow up fast in order to take care of them. Her elder brother, Marcus, had stopped sending letters and as far as she knew, seemed to have forgotten about them. So, if Amelia didn't take it upon herself then no one could. Emily and Mia were still too young to get a job.
As she was mulling through her thoughts, Amelia filled a cup of soda. Picking it up, she headed back over to the table and placed it before the young lady that had asked her for a refill. "Here you are, enjoy! ANything else I can get you or are you all set?" she asked. The young lady and her date just smiled before telling her that they were fine now. Considering the matter settled, she scanned the rest of the tables for anything that needed doing.
