Hello men and women of Rubrum.
Once again I come to you with a debate which we must all ask ourselves. Being a part of a fighting school, we are used to big strength, big egos, and even bigger weapons. Most students have weapons that represent their own personality, or what they’re comfortable with. Of course, we all got the choice when we came into the school, to choose the weapon we wanted to become associated with.
Today’s debate is Nine, and the lance he picked out for himself. The way of a dragoon, of course, is to have a weapon such as a spear or a lance. I myself am of this class, yet I would like to draw your attention to a few things, and then I shall put a question to you.
After gaining a reputation around Rubrum as being a man who cannot ‘keep it in his pants’, Nine has put himself under speculation about his own choice of weapon, and how exactly it fits into his personality. Of course, there’s really no comfortable or dignified way of measuring this, and so this leads us into a debate on the subject. He sports a big weapon, in fact, Nine’s lance weighs a whopping fifty pounds. Being a dragoon myself, I understand that no lance needs to be that big to be effective.
Not only would it not have to be that big, but how much it weighs could actually have a negative effect on the wielder. Your muscles could begin to ache after swinging or throwing a weapon of that much density. When tired, a person would be less able to fight.
So then, I put the question to you. Is the reason Nine carries such a big weapon, is because he could possibly be lacking in another vital area? Yes, he could be considered a ‘man whore’ by some, but it’s also evident that none of the women come back. Perhaps it could be because of his ‘sparkling personality’, but could it also perhaps be from a deficiency?
When asked about this, the response we got was very defensive, and number Nine of the elite Class Zero refused to comment about the size of his ‘mini me’. Not only could we not get a proper response, but he fled the scene even as we were still trying to question him. Later on we asked our very own Arecia Al-Rashia if she had any comments. To quote what the warden said, ‘Nine is a very nice boy, and though he has grown in leaps and bounds to be quite tall now, all of Nine was very tiny to begin with.’ Tiny? Or nonexistent? Of course, as he’s refused to comment, and there is no way to measure in a dignified manner, once again I leave it to you to decide.
Just another weapon?
