(OOC: Sorry it took me some time, I had almost forgot due to my terrible memory. ^_^; Cater sighed in frustration. Today, she was to attend detention after classes. Class Zero's number Four had decided to prank call Kurasame one too many times. As punishment, she was to help assist in cleaning the training arena. A wide, open area that would take forever to clean! Cater wasn't even sure if she'd be able to complete it in one day. She wasn't even sure if she was the only one having to do this either.
The red head was dreading the time when she would have to begin. No doubt, it wouldn't be easy. Kurasame was always hard on them when it came to punishing them. It's his being so hard on them, and replacing mother, that most of Class Zero hated him. Cater and Nine especially didn't like him for replacing mother. The two were Arecia's most prized. Nine was "Momma's boy" and Cater was "Momma's little girl". Where one would think the two would compete for Arecia's attention, they didn't all that often. Cater was usually okay with Nine getting more attention than she did. Cater had grown used to being more independent.
As soon as the bell rang to signal the end of class, Cater sighed in frustration again. It was time to head out to where the training arena was and get this started. Getting to her feet, picking up her bag where she secretly stashed some snacks, Cater left the classroom. Slinging the straps to her backpack over her shoulders, Cater headed down the hallway. As she went, she whistled a tune to herself, making pretend shots at random things she pointed at with her index finger.
By the time she reached the arena, Cater set her bag down. Most likely, Kurasame would have someone there to tell them what they had to do for detention before the person would leave for a few hours before returning to see how things went down. Most of the kids that got detention didn't dare disobey any detention that Kurasame gave them since he would give them something harder to do if they did.
She made her way towards the center.

This was no shocker whatsoever. Nine getting detention was like…normal these days, especially with Kurasame as instructor. With a snort and a scoff after having received the sentence after verbally making a scene in class, Nine slumped in his seat, a smirk on his face as if detention was a reward for his hard work. Hard work? Or rather, his lack of. Nine always thought class was a challenge, when Kurasame taught at least. Very rarely did he do the work or even pay attention, most of his time was spent dazing around the class room, sleeping, or gazing at Seven and trying to give her certain looks from across the room. That was another thing that got him detention. His being a distraction in class, but hey, that was Nine for any instructor, even Arecia. He was just the so called ‘problem child’ even being a mama’s boy at the same time. It made him who he was, and he wasn’t going to change for anyone.
When the bell dismissed class, Nine was up on his feet and already trailing towards the training room. It was huge, and it would take forever to clean, but like hell Nine would do a good job. Most things he did for detention were half-assed anyways. With his arms folded behind his head, Nine just swaggered his way to the training room, knowing there would be another joining him for this sentence, fellow Class Zero member and top notch prankster – Nine would know, he’d been recently pranked by her and Rem – number four, Cater. He still needed to get her and Rem back, but that could happen after all of this detention time was served, he couldn’t wait to be done with it, not that he wasn’t used to spending hours doing something completely boring after class on a regular basis…still, it’d be nice to go back to the dorm and chillax, or go hang out with some friends…hell, throwing javelins would be more fun than this, maybe even bickering with Quon. Nah, nothing could be worse than that, ask anyone…anyone who’s name wasn’t Quon, or Aria.
Striding up to the doors, Nine pushed both hands against the doors and they flew open, presenting…himself. As he had slammed the doors open, a wide grin crossed his face. His sharp blue eyes settled on the shorter red head as he walked inside. “Well if it ain’t Miss Pranks-A-Lot.” He called with a slight echo of his voice, walking over towards her with his usual cocky swagger. “I really should thank ya and Rem for that makeover you both gave me. It got me a little closer to Sev-“ his words were interrupted by the voice of the most annoying person on the face of the entire planet. Looking up to see the Class Three student walking his way towards Nine and Cater, Nine scowled, forcing a bitter grin on his face as Quon folded his arms behind his back, his voice in that sarcastic ‘matter of fact’ tone as usual. “Cater, Much-needed-anger-management-dragoon.” Quon said as he turned his gaze from Cater to Nine. “Asshole.” Nine replied as he folded his arms across his chest. Such good manners.
“You’re to scrub every inch of this room, but because I know you better I know you won’t, just do a nice half-ass job as always, got it? Good.” Quon spoke in a bored tone before whirling around and retreating, stopping and not turning back to the two, he spoke once more. “I’ll be back in an hour or so to check your progress.” Nine scowled and let his hands ball into fists until the sight of the red mage was gone. He exhaled a deep breath and stressful sigh before he plopped down on the floor, leaning back before finally laying down with his limbs spread out. “Screw detention, screw Kurasame…this is complete and total bull.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 768 Muse: Great! As soon as Cater reached the center, she turned as the doors suddenly flung open. When she did, Cater just then realized how awkward this detention was going to be. Rem and Cater hadn't been mild during their recent prank. It was Rem's first try and Cater showed her one hell of a night. On top of it, Nine came out really pretty. Being pretty was something guys did not enjoy happening to them. So, it wouldn't be any real surprise to her if he decided to take out some frustrations on her for that prank of their's.
As he approached, Cater stood her ground. She wasn't afraid of Nine despite how much taller he was compared to her petite figure. She could tell the moment he called out to her that he hadn't forgotten what had happened. Bringing her arms up, folding them, Cater rose an eyebrow at him as the dragoon traveled across the room to get to where she was. The way he was walking and the look on his face told her that what she and Rem had done were just the beginning of a prank war between them. Oh well, bring it on! Cater would have great amusement in the long run. After all, it's what made memories of this place all the sweeter once they were all graduated from this place and off doing something else.
When he finally got to where she was, Cater held her head up high, looking back up boldly at Nine. A slight smirk was on her face. As Nine began to speak, she heard that he guessed that he should actually thank them for it. Of course, this wasn't anything Cater had been expecting. Did the dragoon just come out of the closet or something? No, Cater didn't think he was at all that way by any means. His last sentence, it sounded a lot like he was about to say Seven's name. Instead of fawning over Emina, the dragoon seemed to have found someone else to fawn over by the sound of it. It hadn't been to Cater's surprise. She had known about Seven and Nine during her gossip with Rem.
Their would-be-unpleasant conversation was dropped the moment Quon had arrived on the scene. If Cater had been anyone else, she might've been relieved for the interruption. However, Cater was Cater. So, where she should have felt relief, she didn't. The tiny red head didn't sweat Nine one bit. In fact, she would've gotten back in Nine's face depending on what would have been said. The two usually had a sibling rivalry thing going on anyway.
Reluctantly taking her attention off of Nine, Cater turned to find Quon had arrived and was now standing before them. He had been greeting them. Cater didn't usually have issues with Quon. He was an intellectual like Trey. If they weren't careful, he might go into a long speech about magic if they were to ever somehow go into that field. Cater gave him a nod in greeting. "Quon." When Quon greeted Nine, it wasn't to Cater's surprise that Nine would react the way he did. Nine usually was in some sort of conflict with just about anybody. Mostly, it was with Queen or one of the guys.
Quon ignored Nine's comeback as he went into a bored tone, explaining to them what it was they were suppose to be doing here. Cater couldn't help but let out a sigh in response. She did, however, glare up at Quon when he stated that he knew they would only do a half-assed job. "Hey!" she exclaimed but Quon simply ignored them and turned to walk away.
Pausing for a moment half way, he spoke again announcing that he would be back in an hour or so to check how they were doing. With that, he was gone. Not to Cater's surprise, Nine went into a fit. Honestly, she couldn't blame him because she too was a bit upset with the idea of having to clean this whole damn room. Kurasame just couldn't have them doing something else today, could he? He always had to give out the harsh punishments. Sometimes, Cater had to wonder why their instructor could be so grumpy. He really hadn't any humor to him.
"All this just for prank calling!" she grumbled. Well, just because Kurasame had them out here did not mean that they had to actually abide by it. They had at least obeyed coming here but that did not mean they would listen about what task he had for them to complete. While Nine simply splayed himself out on the floor, Cater trotted over to her backpack. Might as well enjoy herself a little while she could.
Plopping herself next to her bag, Cater unzipped it and pulled out a stick of pokey. Nine could whine as long as he wanted to, she'd be just fine eating a snack or two in the meantime and probably drone him out that way. Quon might've been half right about them doing on half assed work. Then again, he never put into the equation that there was a slight chance that they wouldn't actually do any of the work he told them to.

All and all this was just going to be a crappy way to spend the afternoon, especially when people could be doing better things with their time. Nine could easily be napping or out in the training yard testing his skills to become an even better fighter than he already was. Oh well, it wasn’t as bad seeing as he wasn’t here by himself, he at least had Cater here, even though she was a prankster, Nine falling victim recently to her and Rem’s ‘crimes’ so to speak. He still had to thank them in a weird roundabout way, they sort of helped with the Seven thing. She had to stick around and help pluck clips from his hair, she even waited for him to get cleaned up, and the rest of the day had been rather enjoyable, since when didn’t Nine enjoying seeing a pretty woman in a little clothing as possible? A neatly accented purple bikini to be exact. See, he could remember what she wore to the beach, but had someone asked what the assignment for class was for tomorrow, he’d have no recollection of it whatsoever.
Watching Quon trail away in that cocky ‘I’m better than everyone else’ manner that he had at all times, Nine folded his arms tightly across his chest, eyes narrowing as he contemplated throwing something at the back of the Class Three student’s head, that would simply land him more detention time though. With a heavy grumble of a sigh, Nine just threw his arms down to his sides and started to turn away from where he had been standing. Sprawling himself across the floor, Nine closed his eyes and just grumbled to himself, not wanting to clean this stupid room, in fact, he was planning on sleeping during their detention time, and when Quon did come back to check their work, he’d threaten the poor guy into letting them leave, or else he’d break the other side of that face of his. With a smirk, it was then he heard the zipper of Cater’s backpack being opened.
Bright blue eyes opened, he was curious, and that’s when he rolled himself along the floor until he could see Cater and the stick of pokey she was retrieving. She brought food! Moving to his elbows and knees, Nine army crawled over towards the red head like the idiot he was before looking at her with almost a puppyish look on his face, a charming grin as he held his head up with one balled fist resting against his cheek. “What’cha got there, Cater?” he said almost in an obviously voice, raising and lowering his eyebrows at her, his eyes flickering from her face to the pokey she was holding. Sharing was caring right? He hadn’t done anything to piss her off today, right? She’d totally share, or else he’d take some for himself without her consent. He could easily do it too, but the nicer way was always the best route to start with. “Mind sharin’? I mean, you’d totally share yer food with big brother Nine, right?” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 604 Muse: Good! As Cater sat there, about to take a bite of her pokey, she could see in the corner of her eye Nine moving. He had rolled over, apparently having heard the sound of her opening up her backpack. Considering there wasn't much to do here anyway except slaving away or lousing about, she was not surprised that she had piqued the dragoon's curiosity. Even she would've glanced over if she had heard someone unzipping something and opening something up. After all, detention was always a nasty bore. It wouldn't be of any surprise to her if either of them fell asleep eventually.
Cater took the first bite out of her snack, savoring the taste for a moment. It had been a lucky thing she decided to bring some food along. Cater, if she could help it, would bring food if she could only because detention lasted so long that eventually she'd get hungry. Last time that she hadn't brought any snacks, Cater suffered through two hours of no eating. Never was she going to allow that to happen again. She would, no matter how hard it was to smuggle some sort of food in, never starve again.
There was movement again where Nine was and Cater kept her gaze fixed in the direction she had it in. If he was going to try and steal any of her food without asking first, she wasn't beyond shooting him in the ass for it. Considering she had food, she couldn't blame him for coming over. Most guys would want food and considering how large Nine was, he needed a lot of it to keep him going. Most teenagers ate a lot because they burned a lot of energy at this stage of their lives. Even Cater had to eat a lot to keep her tiny figure going because of how active she was. She always burned more than the average girl running around the halls as if she had consumed jet fuel.
Swallowing her first bite, as Nine spoke to her, Cater rose an eyebrow as she turned her gaze onto the bigger Class Zero member. She could tell already where this was going as he asked her what she had there. "It's called pokey, Nine. Like a wafer stick but with chocolate in the center." She was watching his every move right now. He may be feinting acting all nice right now but she wouldn't doubt it if he wound up squabbling with her over the food she had brought.
When next Nine spoke, she considered what he asked her for a moment. He was really putting on the nice act alright but should she actually share with the dragoon? Maybe she could tease him a bit with it? Cater being Cater, would so totally do the latter. Bringing her free hand up to gently press up a finger against her lips, looking thoughtful for a moment as she pretended to think it over, finally looked over at him with a slightly mischievous grin.
"Hmm...well, I'm not beyond sharing..." she trailed off, rummaging through her bag to get another one. Oh, she would give him it eventually but she was going to make him work for it a bit. Of course, all in good fun. She wasn't going to tease him to the point of making him want to kill her or exchange blows. The latter was probably something that would more likely happen between them considering the fact they acted so much like a brother and sister did it wasn't even funny. Almost always, either was trying to one up the other. Considering the two of them were so close to Arecia, it was no wonder.
Producing the new pokey in its bag, she dangled it a bit in front of Nine. Once he would attempt to take it, she'd snatch it out of his reach with a smirk. "But I wonder just how desperate big brother Nine wants it?" she said with a giggle. She now had it in her far outstretched arm, dangling it tauntingly and even going as far as giving it a bit of a shake for added measure. Her own stick of pokey, Cater had crammed into one of her pockets. She didn't think Nine would try to eat one she already took a bite out of and right now, she didn't want to end up dropping it on the dirty floor.
"Hmmm?" she said tauntingly, waiting for Nine to take a dive at the pokey. From this angle, he couldn't really get her backpack since she was leaning right on it and clutching it with her free hand. Poor Nine, Cater just wasn't going to give him a break with all the teasing she gave him. Well, what were little sisters for anyway? They certainly weren't spring chocobos, that was for sure.

This was just too damn boring for even someone like Nine to attend. He could easily nap his way through detention…and risk getting clobbered by Kurasame himself later on in the day, but whatever, at least he wasn’t here by himself…otherwise he’d simply sleep along the floor because he could. With Cater here, there was at least someone else to talk to, whether that was a good or bad thing…Nine just wasn’t quite sure yet. As he laid sprawled across the floor, it was as if his hearing senses had kicked up a couple of notches. He heard Cater digging in her backpack that she always carried with her…he could hear the food. That may sound weird, but when you’re a teenage boy…you can sense food from a mile away. That’s when he rolled and put on his pretty face. His pretty nice face of course.
Shooting a charming glance at Cater, rolling onto his stomach and crawling towards her, he rested his head on one tightly closed fist, still grinning at her as he tried to add a bit of that puppy eye’d look to his face. If he was going to get food, he was going to have to be nice…anything beyond that was just ridiculous. They were family! Sharing was caring…or something like that, and if Cater wasn’t going to share, then Nine was just going to take it and hold it over her head, he was taller than she…so it was possible. But she’d probably shoot him for doing that…wouldn’t that be an embarrassing trip to Arecia? Being shot in the ass for taking pokey from Cater. The last thing Nine needed was another reason for people to laugh at him, there was already Emina rejecting him, the fact that Queen had dubbed his ‘stupidness’ as contagious, and of course the prank Rem and Cater had played on him…then there was Carla and her damn blog. Yeah…Nine could live without a bullet to the ass.
Still grinning, Nine perked up slightly at the words of her not being beyond sharing. So she was going to share with him! But knowing Cater…there was more to it than just that. He wasn’t going to get his hopes too high just yet, but damn…he was getting hungry with all of this…pokey going around. His stomach growled, and quite loudly in such a quiet room as he kept his bright blue eyes still locked on Cater, trying to read her and see what it was her mind was cooking up. As she dangled the food a bit in front of him, out of instinct, Nine reached for it but it was of course pulled away. His grin turned into a distinct frown, especially when she spoke again. What the hell? What kind of sister made her super awesome big brother – especially Nine – work for food? Screw that! “The hell, Cater?! Yer gonna make me work for it? What kind o’ bull are you tryin’ to pull?” he complained as he slumped back flat onto the floor, his head facing the floor as his words here a bit muffled by the floor he was sprawled across even still.
No pokey for Nine.
Peeking over his arm a bit, Nine tried to strategize, to figure out how to take the pokey from Cater. How did one do this? Especially to someone as sly as Cater? Putting on his best poker face, Nine laid there for a few more moments, as if he were pondering whether he wanted to move or not…but after a few moments, he lunged. Moving quickly – like most dragoons did, especially with jumping – Nine had a grip on her wrist with one hand. “I ain’t workin’ for some food…come on Cater, can’t fend off a dragoon?” he teased as he went for the pokey…the precious pokey! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 741 Muse: Great! Nine and Cater were exactly the stereotypical brother and sister pair. Out of all the other Class Zero members, Cater and Nine were definitely the two that treated each other like real siblings would. Cater was the annoying, smaller and younger sister where as Nine was the older, big brother that often got teased by the younger. Sometimes, their roles switched but they were very obviously siblings. No more, no less. The fact they were also close to Arecia also just added to it. Nine and Cater being around Arecia so much often interacted with each other a lot too. Sometimes, they fought for Arecia's attention when they were younger but then again, they fought over a lot of things as kids as they did now. Yes, these two were definitely brother and sister.
As she dangled it out of Nine's reach teasingly, Cater half expected Nine to get all annoyed and try to reach for the pokey. Instead, he just frowned at her and stopped trying altogether. Blinking, because this wasn't like what she had pictured Nine doing, Cater was caught a little off guard. Why wasn't big brother Nine trying to snatch it from her? This wasn't at all like him. He was known to be lazy but over food like this? Definitely nothing like the Nine she knew.
"You should've seen it coming, Nine. I am the annoying, younger sister here! It's my job to annoy you, remember?" she said with a smirk in response to what Nine said. Cater couldn't help but keep a careful eye on Nine though. The large blond had to be up to something. She could guess that much as he simply looked over his arm up at her again. What was going through his mind then? She expected some kind of fight but he wasn't giving her one. She took out her pokey then and took a bite out of it again. It was at this exact moment when Nine decided to launch a surprise attack.
Before Cater knew what hit her, he had grabbed onto her wrist that was holding the pokey she had proffered to him earlier only to take it out of his reach at the last possible moment. It really appeared like he won but it wasn't over until the fat lady sang! Stuffing her pokey in her mouth using the hand that Nine didn't have in his grip, Cater used her now freehand to tickle the dragoon's ribcage with a deviant smile upon her face. Swallowing after a moment of fast chewing, Cater said "Coochie, coochie coo~!"

Cater and Nine really were like the typical big brother and little sister. He loved her to bits and pieces and of course would beat up anyone who tried to hurt her – he really was a big brother to most girls within class zero – but when it came down to it, he loved giving her hell and it seemed she loved to make his life a living hell as well. They had the roles of brother and sister down perfectly. Having been rejected to get pokey, Nine just slumped across the ground and seemed as if he were giving up, his head lay face down as he rested his forehead on the cold ground, plotting his scheme, not that his schemes worked all the time, but hey! This could be that once in a blue moon sort of thing, couldn’t it?
Grunting a bit to lift himself off the ground slightly, he looked to Cater and shook his head, a disapproving frown on his face – he wasn’t upset, it was just probably to get a good laugh out of her – he simply looked serious. “An’ you do a hell of a good job, Cater!” he informed her before sinking back down to laying across the floor like a lazy bum. The wheels in his head had been turning for awhile now though, he could jump her and get the pokey. He was a strong individual, not to mention it’d be by surprise, so Cater wouldn’t see it coming, he’d get something to eat from this girl no matter what! She couldn’t eat everything in that bag of hers…okay she probably could, but that wasn’t fair. Nine had been put through torture because of her and Rem, wouldn’t it be fair to give him food for forgiveness? I guess things didn’t work that way.
Nine jumped her.
But Cater was always seemingly one step ahead of him. She switched the pokey out of her gripped hand to her free one, and before Nine could act, she’d stuffed her face with food. Causing a small squeak to actually come from Nine as he just stared with a stunned look on his face. His eyes turned to Cater’s face as she started going for his ribcage. She….ate the pokey and didn’t give him any. Aw hell to the no! Feeling fingertips tickling against his ribs, he tried to hold back a smile – yes, he was ticklish, no one needed to know this – and he bit his lip before releasing her wrist and throwing himself back onto the ground. “No no no! None of that! Can’t believe you didn’t give me anything!” He whined pointing a finger in her direction as he sat on the ground having nearly avoided a ticklefest. He wasn’t hurt or offended really, it was all part of the sibling rivalry they seemed to have, Nine could easily walk out the door and go get something to eat if he really was that hungry.
With a huge over dramatic sigh, Nine leaned back and laid against the ground again. “So we’ve wasted five minutes already. Can we go yet?” he mumbled out in complaint as he knew they really wouldn’t be doing a damn thing in here, Kurasame could take his detention, his personalized punishment and shove it right up his- “Oi! We should order a pizza or somethin’! They deliver!” a bright smile crossed Nine’s face as he sat up, looking to Cater to see what she’d say about a tiny pizza party during detention. It sounded fun…and after she’d dangled food just out of reach, Nine was hungryyyyyy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 711 Muse: Good! It was the usual song and dance between Cater and Nine. The two always enjoyed pestering the hell out of each other the most like real siblings would. It was true that most of Class Zero was family but Cater and Nine acted it the most with each other. After all, certain family members just clicked with one another in the familial fashion while others clicked in the romantic fashion. Cater and Nine were clearly familial aspect here. Despite the fact she tormented the living hell out of Nine and vice versa, she did care about him and would help him out.
Where Cater was presently teasing Nine, she did intend to give him some...eventually. Okay, yes she would soon but after the initial sisterly tease. She gave a bit of a giggle in response to his comment about her job performance as a sister. The serious look on his face just made it all the more rewarding. "Thanks!" she replied, taking it as a compliment despite the fact Nine wasn't using that as a compliment.
As Nine had gone to jump her, she had been expecting it but had let her guard down. Thus, why he had been able to jump her when he had. Having stuffed her own pokey into her mouth so as to not lose it, she had kept the one she proffered in the hand where he had a grip on her wrist. After seeing her shovel down her own pokey, she had heard Nine give out a bit of a squeak. Smirking evilly, she went on to tickle his ribcage. Even now, she could see him fighting to hold back a smile. She knew that somewhere around the ribs he had to be ticklish. It really did look like the ribs were what tickled but he managed to keep himself from laughing by protesting and throwing a fit.
Once again, Nine threw himself on the floor unhappily. Stating that there would be none of that rib tickling and that she didn't give him any at all. Did he not realize she had more? Then again, he wasn't exactly the most observant of the group so she could give him some slack with that one. Not everyone knew everything, after all. Unless you were Queen or Trey. Those two seemed to know nearly everything.
"I was just teasing! You can have one, I've got plenty more anyway!" she stated, rummaging through her bag and getting out another one, tossing one onto his stomach. "Whiner!" she teased.
Nine just laid on the floor, looking bored. Honestly, she could feel the same. After teasing Nine, it didn't seem as fun anymore especially when he wasn't really reacting much. Neither of them seemed to be able to get that worked up anyway here considering how dull it was. "I wish...unless you'd rather that Tonberry follow us around..." Cater replied to Nine. Cater didn't exactly fear Kurasame, she more like dreaded what the Tonberry was up to. It always just seemed to stare at them blankly with it's knife in hand and lantern in the other.
Out of the blue, Nine sat up after stating they should order pizza or something since they delivered. Cater blinked back over at him before grinning. At least Quon couldn't complain about them blowing up something this time around. Well, more so on Cater's part. She had decided to blow up a toilet with her gun rather than bothering to actually scrub it as asked and then told Quon that it was clean because it wasn't there anymore. The place had been flooded a few days after that as staff struggled to figure out how to mend the open pipe with nothing to stop it up. That had been quite a funny moment for Cater while also an unpleasant one considering the consequences she got for it but so totally worth the trouble!
"Yeah, we should! Pokey for desert and pizza for dinner!" she stated. "What's the place's number or do you have them on speed dial?"

So hanging out with Cater wasn’t exactly a punishment. In fact, Nine would rather hang out with her versus other people right now. She was fun and even though she was depriving the dragoon of pokey, she was still very entertaining. Having tried to jump her and get food…well, that didn’t work out so well. Until he started whining at least. When Cater established that she had more food with her, Nine perked up slightly and grinned widely at her. “I do what I can to get food!” he commented back to her with a small chuckle in his voice. He was quite pleased with himself, but then just leaving sounded like a nice idea. As easy as it would be to just walk out of here, Nine knew that the consequences of just up and leaving versus just laying around and waiting out the time, they would be greater. Getting more time in detention was not on Nine’s to-do list.
“I’d rather not be followed by that damn thing. Gives me the creeps.” Nine shrugged a bit, sitting up and getting the best idea that’d come to him since arriving here. Ordering pizza sounded like a good way to waste time! With a cheeky grin on his face, he looked to Cater as she seemed just as enthusiastic about getting pizza as he was. Pulling his cell phone from his pocket, he went and plopped himself on the ground again, crossing his legs before taking a glance to Cater. “I have it on speed dial.” He grinned, punching a few buttons before hitting the send button. Shooting Cater a glance as to be quiet, Nine sat quietly, rocking back and forth a bit before a voice came across the other line. “Yeah, I’d like to make an order for delivery. One large pepperoni.” He waited and also pulled out the bit of money he had in his pocket. It was nice to find cash laying around the dorm every now and then. King wouldn’t miss it…besides, food was important, right? His best friend had told him that if he needed money for something important…this was important! “The Suzaku academy, training room. Uh…don’t go through the main entrance, hey. Thanks!”
Nine snapped his phone shut before twisting on the floor and looking to Cater. “About a half hour or so. Think ya can wait that long?” he said with a bit of a smirk before flopping back onto his back, laying against the floor and looking at the ceiling. “So what do ya want to do until then? Plot on how to get Quon next time he walks through the door? Or we could actually do somethin’.” He shrugged while laying down, but definitely not meaning to do the latter of what he said. There was no way Nine was actually going to serve time here for Kurasame, that was torture. Plotting some sort of horror for Quon might be fun, or just laying around counting down the minutes until that pizza would be here…then time would really go fast. Why hadn’t Nine gotten detention before? No, this wasn’t really detention anymore…this was more like…a pizza party or something. He was okay with every minute of it, especially since Cater was willing to share the pokey she brought, finally. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 657 Muse: Good! Cater gave a bit of a laugh when Nine stated that he did what he could to get food. Really, he was funny. Queen shouldn't be so hard on him. It was a known fact that she and Nine didn't get along very well. Still, to each their own. Cater wouldn't try to force a fellow member to get along with another class member. Besides, a lot of the time, it was Nine provoking others into tormenting him that way. Despite it all, he sported a good attitude about it. He was always there whenever someone needed him when it came to a fight with class members outside their own. Hell, he was always here in general when it came to a good fight. Thankfully, none of their own really fought with each other outside of bantering.
When she mentioned the Tonberry, it was a mutual agreement between them that neither of them liked the little creature that followed Kurasame around. It seemed very loyal to him but it was just so creepy! "I don't even know how the instructor managed to get that thing to follow him around but either way, it's definitely creepy. I can't help but wonder if it plans to one day stab us all in the back when we're not looking." She gave a bit of a shudder at that thought. The pair of them falling into silence after that. The topic of the Tonberry wasn't pleasant and the thought of her waking up to find it at the foot of her bed holding a bloody knife gave her the chills.
It was decided that they would have pizza brought to them in the room. Watching as Nine took out his cell phone, she listened as he told her that he had the pizza joint on speed dial. "That's my big brother!" she chirped with a grin. She went quiet as he focused on the call to the joint. As someone answered the phone, Nine placed their order. One large pepperoni pizza should definitely cover it. Between the two of them, they could most likely eat a whole pizza of that size. With Nine known as the bottomless pit and Cater because of her fast metabolism, they'd take that thing out in no time flat!
As Nine instructed the pizza place to not come in the front entrance, Cater too fished through her pockets and took out some money. When Nine closed his phone, she heard him tell her how long it would take. "Yeah, I can handle that!" she answered him. With that, Nine just laid back down on the floor like he was accustomed to doing every detention. She tilted her head in thought as she considered their options. Working was not in her agenda today. As for scheming, Cater was great with that when it came to pranking people. Quon, most of all, was long overdue for a Cater prank.
"We can plot on what to do with Quon. He's been due for a prank of mine anyway. So, what should we do then?" she said, looking over at Nine to see if he had anything in mind. "Put a bucket of water over the door so when he goes to open it, it falls on him?"

Today's detention wasn't nearly as bad as Nine had anticipated it to be. In fact, he thought it was going to be pretty fun at this rate, not that he or Cater would be doing anything productive to build on their character or learn a lesson, but hey, Kurasame had gotten them to stick around here at least and not bail like Nine had initially planned to do. With a grin, the wild blonde was ready to have a bit of fun, order some pizza, pull a prank or two, it wasn't detention, this was just hanging out with Cater time! Smirking towards the redhead as he had made the pizza phone call, he was ready to get down to business, though they'd have to wait a bit on their pizza, between now and then...pranking sounded like a good idea, and with these two...oh you thought Cater and Rem together was trouble? If you put Cater's expert pranking skills and Nine's awful ideas together, you had a horrible explosion of ideas, horrible for whoever was going to get the short end of this stick. The prank-ee.
Snapping his phone shut and plopping on the floor again, he felt another wide grin cross his face. Cater definitely had a good mind, pranking Quon would be the best thing ever, especially since that guy was just an asshole. He thought himself above everyone else in the world of intelligence, not that Nine cared that much about that, but even still...he needed to be taught a lesson, a less...harmful one than the one Nine had personally taught him. Punching the guy in the jaw and breaking some facial bones...that probably wasn't the way to do things, but hey, Nine was happy he'd done it, it seemed that since then, the purple haired girl wannabe didn't bug him as much anymore, that was always good, even the very sight of that guy made Nine get angry. He only remembered the rude things he'd been told, about how stupid he was, being a mama's boy, and of course the deal with Carla's article...there were just so many people that Nine wanted to get back at, the list could be a mile long if not longer.
"I think we can do better than that, don' ya think?" he said before rising up from the ground a bit, his elbows on the floor propping himself up as he began to think. "For Quon, we gotta do something that will make a...great impact on his life you know? What else can ya think of?" he said tilting his head slightly, going into his own thinking mode. "Think we can conjure up somethin' better than just water?" he said with a smirk, imagining all sorts of things. Even dyed water would be nice, turning the guy from purple to pink would be a good laugh, or maybe...what if the pizza came with garlic sauce or something? They could easily take that and make sure Quon got more than a mouthful. But it was then another great idea came across Nine's mind, his face went serious for this one though. "It won't happen today, but we should start a work in progress prank for...Carla. She'd way overdue for somethin' like that, ya think?" he asked Cater in the most serious tone he could possibly muster. Pranking Carla...oh boy that would be a REAL winner, and Nine wouldn't feel quite so bad about her articles then. He was sure anyone would be happy to see a prank bestowed on her, sort of like a giant "EFF YOU", the idea was nice...but could they pull something that amazing off? Of course they could, and maybe with the help of a few other individuals with a grudge.
