Why did this happen to him anyway? Stuffing his hands in his pockets, Sabin shuffled along the path that led to the caves that he was supposed to meet Terra at. He’d been under fire from Edgar after Terra must have told him about the last time he had been dragged into moogle fluffing. He had sure gotten all sorts of teasing once he had gotten back to Figaro from visiting Duncan. One might say under fire, because he sure had been. But…oh well. They had gone back and forth about the matter, until Sabin had made a very valid point that had shut Edgar up faster than you could say it. Sure, he had fluffed moogles, but he had been around a very beautiful woman while he had been doing that. Sabin hated to pull the beautiful woman card, because honestly, he respected women and didn’t view them as Edgar did. Didn’t view them as nothing more than fun to mess around with and yada yada. But, when push came to shove, he wasn’t above using that to get Edgar to shut the heck up about something. So he had pointed that out, slapped Edgar on the back, and walked off.
And then he’d gotten Terra’s note asking him to once again go moogle fluffing with her. Sabin sure hadn’t really-…okay, he couldn’t lie. It had been somewhat fun when he had done so the last time. Mainly because Terra was a fun girl to be around, and she made even the weird task of moogle fluffing enjoyable. Even if he wouldn’t admit it. But he wasn’t against spending some more time with his friends, Terra included. And so here he was, off to go and spend some more time with her and probably a bunch of fluffy little creatures. But oh well, that’s the way life went, and besides, he had a jealous Edgar flailing around back at the castle, so it was totally all worth it. Any way he could have that happen was basically worth it.
Making his way into the caves that the moogles were in, Sabin wandered a little ways in. He doubted he would have to go very far, but this was the place that Terra had asked him to come to and go moogle fluffing again. And here he was. Yawning, Sabin stretched his arms above his head, hitting his hands on the lowish ceiling of the cave above him. Smiling, he patted the rock overcroping and then peered around for his friend. “Terra?”, his loud voice boomed through the tunnels. He paused then, but he didn’t hear anything else, so instead he plopped down on the ground and waited for her. Sitting with his back against the rock wall behind him, Sabin closed his eyes, crossed his arms over his bare chest and was content to wait for his friend.
Until something nudged his hand. Opening one eye and peering over, he saw something fluffy sitting there beside him, nuzzling his hand. Drawing away a little bit and uncrossing his arms, Sabin took a look at the fluffy little guy sitting there. “Hey you little fluff ball,” he boomed out. The first time he had been with Terra, he had scared them a little bit with his large size and voice, but this one didn’t seem to be quite so scared of him. “Kupo?”, it said, before wandering toward him again. Being as gentle as he could be with his hand, he patted the moogle on the head. The next minute the thing was on his lap, nestling into his chest. “Kupo!” “Woah, hey, I didn’t say that you cou-“, “Kupo?” Sabin’s gaze sung around as he saw two more moogles wandering toward him. “I didn’t tell you that you could bring friends along either little guy.”, he said, before they too hopped onto this chest and nestled down with the first one, chattering out some “Kupos” as they did so. Well wasn’t this great. What was he, a bedding ground for these fluffy little guys? And where was Terra anyway! He could just transfer these blasted little things over to her and not have them curled up on his chest snoozing away.

It really was such a beautiful day, Terra was quite excited to be going moogle fluffing again. It was her favorite past time it seemed, and after the minor mission of getting Sabin to moogle fluff, it just…sounded like a great idea! Besides, she’d stuck around Figaro for awhile now, why not get this out of the way while she was here? Moogles were just too dang cute to ignore! Even Sabin had to admit that, and even though the blonde girl accidentally let word slip of his moogle fluffing with her, who was going to really be judging him? Wasn’t it nice when a strong guy did things for women? Edgar could laugh and scoff all he wanted, but at least someone was willing to tag along with her during such adventures! Which is exactly why she’d sent a message for the stronger Figaro brother to meet her near some moogle caves, to find moogles of course!
With a smile on her face, Terra felt too happy to even walk, she was on cloud nine by the looks of it as she merely floated across the ground, her knees bent and the power of her being an esper helping her move across the land as her hands fiddled with the small string of flowers she’d tied together. They were very pretty, smelled amazing…just like the flowers she’d stuck in her own hair. This is what boredom and appreciation for beauty did to a person, she was making head-dresses out of flowers, and heck yeah she was going to plop one of Sabin’s head! If she could reach up that high…but…whatever, if all else failed, she’d just have to whip out the puppy eyes, which she seemed to have the most flawless puppy eyes on the face of all of the planet. All she had to do was put a frown on her face, let her eyes water only slightly, and maybe even cause her lip to quiver, all and all a very heartbreaking look would appear on her face, who could resist such a face? No one, not even the manliest man alive…that was some impressive power that Terra wielded there. Puppy eyes.
Still floating along, Terra approached the caves, finally let her feet settle onto the ground as she still had quite the smile on her face, her hands gently carrying that flowery headband that she’d actually spent quite a bit of time on, it was just too nice of a day not to appreciate such things in life, she learned that much during her journeys all over with her friends…there were better things you needed to appreciate, things to live for. Walking inside the caves, a magical and very familiar sound came to the blonde’s ears. Closing her eyes for a moment and stopping her steps, she listened, hearing the faint sounds of ‘Kupos’ and then Sabin talking to the cluster of moogles just ahead. Already, she could see that her moogle fluffing training had helped him become more approachable by the cute little fluffballs she loved so much.
Opening her eyes again, moving forward and still keeping her fingers intertwined with the flowers, Terra slowly approached the larger figure that was getting snuggle attacked by moogles, it was quite the sight, and Terra couldn’t help but hold back the muffled giggles. “I see you’ve made some friends.” She spoke quietly, hopefully not startling the little creatures. “They must really like you Sabin, they’re all snuggly with you!” seeing as he was sitting, this was the perfect moment to get him with the flowers too, I mean…he was already snuggling moogles – or rather, they were snuggling him – what was a few flowers going to hurt? Standing on her tip toes to make sure she didn’t disturb the moogles, she plopped the flowery-headband on Sabin’s head and stepped back, balancing herself back flat on her feet as she placed a hand under her chin, judging to see just how good it looked. She had done a pretty fantastic job making that headband, and he had better appreciate it! “Now you’re all ready to go moogle fluffing! Except…I think part of the fun has been lost, finding the moogles…they seemed to have found you first.” Words: 855 Muse: So girly… Tagged: Sabin – hand in yo man card! Moogles. A mans worst enemy. Staring at the fuzzy little guys that were now snuggled down and on his chest, he sighed. It wasn't that he hated moogles. No, he couldn't bring himself to hate anyone...aside from Kefka of course, or the empire. They were just bothersome. Mostly because they made themselves way too adorable. How was anyone supposed to act like a man when they had fluffy creatures around? They should stick to snuggling women-...actually, they were like women. They had a way of looking so cute that you couldn't resist giving them a hug. And then they'd reel you in an-...what was he even thinking about? Sabin blamed Edgar and his severe love of women causing him to go in the opposite direction and resisting them. Not that he resisted women. Sabin didn't know anymore, so he just decided it was because of Edgar that he was even having these weird thoughts. Because he was by no means unattracted to women. He was just-...he was confusing himself, that's what he was doing.
"Don't ever get a womanizer for a brother," he finally concluded, talking to a fluffy moogle as he lifted it off his chest and brought it to eye level. It resisted and squeaked, before pawing at him. "Yeah yeah, I get it. Too bad little fella." Placing him on the ground, Sabin then scoped the remaining two off his chest and deposited them all on the ground around him. Instantly they started doing their thing. "Kupooooo!" It really seemed like they were just whining about it. "No, you fellas stay down. And gals, if...I've really lost my mind. Conversing with moogles." Shaking his head, Sabin pressed his head against the rock behind him. A moment later he once more felt fuzzy bodies on his bare chest. Opening one eye, he saw all three settling themselves yet again down onto his chest. "Confound it all," he muttered out, but couldn't find the heart to move them. Sabin was glad Edgar wasn't here to see him right now. Very glad. He already wasn't ever going to live down Terra's story about moogle fluffing as it was. But hey! He had enough manliness to-
Oh look, here she was now. Peering up at her, Sabin sheepishly grinned. "Yeah, they jumped me when I sat down," he commented. Looking down at his buddies, Sabin had to smile at how comfy they looked, all snuggled in a slumbering pile on his broad chest. He turned his attention to her when she got closer. He was just about to tell her she looked nice, when she suddenly moved closer and plopped something down on his head. With a questioning look, he grabbed it off his head and pulled it down. Instantly he wanted to-...well, he probably shouldn't admit what he wanted to do with it. He did want to remind Terra that he was indeed a man, but he swallowed hard and forced a grin onto his face. Even if it was a feminine girly flower hat thing, she had made it for him, and that had been a super nice thing to do. Except...oh shoot, he was going to have to wear it if he didn't want to offend her. (And he couldn't stand seeing a girl crying) or he could refuse and be a man! The answer was simple really. Avoid girls crying at all costs, no matter how much of your dignity you had to give up in the meantime. "Thanks Terra," he said more cheerfully then he felt. It took a lot of strain on his being a man to put it back on top of his head, but he did so. Thankfully he had enough manliness, he hoped, to keep his man card and not have anyone think him queer. He really...really hoped so.
Getting to his feet, Sabin gathered the moogles in his arms, still sleeping drowsily, and handed them to his companion. "Here ya go, I think they need some female affection," he said easily. "Kupoo...", they muttered in their just woken up state, one trying to hop back in his arms, but he held him back gentle so they couldn't hop back. As soon as he had handed the three to her though, he felt something scuttle over his foot. Peering down, he saw another one standing with its head cocked, looking at him with those big, entrapping eyes. "Confound it all," he muttered out, before reaching down and hoisting the lone moogle into his arms. These must be the same little guys they had fluffed the last time, because he scooted and moved around until the little tyke was snuggled up under his chin. With a content little "Kupo.", he had a very happy little moogle in his arms. "Aww man, they're something else.", he said affectionately. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 998 Muse:; Great! You didn’t get much happier than this. Terra had a beaming smile on her face as she entered the caves, and that grin of hers only widened as she spotted Sabin, being snuggled against by three cute little moogles. She always wanted to coo out an adorable sounding ‘aww’ towards the moogles, but she didn’t want to startle them too much. Instead she simply wandered over and placed the flower creation on her friend’s head, clasping her hands together in satisfaction at her creativity, but honestly, she didn’t expect him to wear it out of these caves, she’d ruined his reputation to Edgar already hadn’t she? A simple mistake, but it wouldn’t happen again. Anyways, with that bright smile on her face as she watched the moogles and Sabin, she was just overjoyed at the sight. He’d gotten so good with those moogles! They used to be afraid of him…and now look, what a giant teddy bear he was turning out to be! Yet still a bear…that was…good, yes?
“They really seem to like you.” She whispered before watching her friend rise to his feet, handing the moogles over to her and waking them up. Though Terra gladly took them into her arms, she was just so…ready to squee at their cute little tired kupos that sounded off in unison. She couldn’t help it this time. “Aww” she cooed to herself under her breath as she held the moogles carefully, though one wanting to try and escape her arms and move back towards Sabin, ultimately it was rejected, but it nuzzled back towards its buddies in the blonde’s arms, which fully satisfied her to no end, but then her bright blue eyes were turned towards the moogle at Sabin’s feet. Another flash of a smile crossed her lips as she turned her eyes upwards, watching the moogle being hoisted up. Yeah, who could resist a moogle anyways? Nobody! They were too dang adorable to resist, they had the best eyes ever, so innocent and big…so adorable. And now Sabin could officially understand why Terra loved these little guys, they were too dang adorable to resist fluffing.
Nodding in agreement to her friend’s words, Terra felt the fuzzy creatures nuzzle against her cheek and under her chin. “They certainly are something else! So innocent and adorable…they make traveling fun, because you never know when you’ll come across a moogle or two. They love being fluffed.” She informed as she watched one moogle wiggle from her arms. She knelt down towards the ground so the poor fluff ball wouldn’t plop onto the ground with a thud. Rising back to her full height, she hugged the two moogles in her arms and turned her gaze back to Sabin, a bit of a sheepish look on her face as she tilted her head slightly. “I’m sorry about my slip up to Edgar, I tried to cover my words but he simply didn’t believe me.” She shrugged a bit, letting a small moment of silence enter the caves, but feeling a small gust turned her attention towards the entrance of the caves. Bright blue eyes instantly widened and a horror filled shriek of a gasp escaped her lips. Kneeling down quickly again and putting the two moogles on the ground, shooing them deeper into the moogle caves, Terra was then off like a shot, running after the lone moogle that was waddling its way towards a swirling mass of wind and air.
With a worried look on her face, Terra scuttled for the little moogle, but as soon as she got in reach of the white fluffy creature, the moogle started to get dragged by the swirling vortex. “Kupoooo!!” the moogle cried, and that’s what got Terra at the heartstrings. Moving, she leaped and clutched her arms around the moogle, wrapping her arms around it and curling her knees up too as she was being dragged towards the portal, unaware of what it actually was. With worried eyes, she looked back to Sabin and did her best to get onto her feet to try and move away from the strong gusts that were pulling her away. “Help!” she squeaked before being pulled into the portal fully, floating off into a void unlike one she’d ever seen, the moogle shivering in her arms with tiny scared sounding kupos coming from its mouth, and to be quite honest…Terra was pretty scared as well. Sabin shrugged his shoulders when she mentioned that they seemed to like him, a large grin covering his features. “Well Terra, we all know that I’m too awesome not to love, right?! Right!”, he answered for himself, before deciding that he should give the moogles to her. After all, he had to keep up his manly image, and she obviously needed some moogles to love. Scooping them up and off his chest, Sabin noticed them sleepily resisting and then dumped them into her waiting arms. Terra was much better with the little guys anyway, or at least, he figured she would have to be. Weren’t women just better in general when it came to fluffy cuddly things? Probably. Sabin really didn’t know much about women, at least, not like Edgar did. He’d never had a mothers influence growing up, and though the ladies that had worked at the castle had done their best, they were really just workers, and had their own lives and families to deal with. And after he had turned seventeen and had run off-…well there hadn’t been many women in Duncan’s dojo, that was for sure. One-, no two. There had been two. They’d gotten so many men asking them on dates, that Sabin hadn’t even attempted.
And so here he was, twenty seven years old and didn’t know all that much about how women thought. But something told him that yes, women did do a better job at these cuddly situations then men would, especially him. The little noises at his feet made him look down, catching sight of the other little moogle that stood there looking up at him expectedly. With a resigned sigh, Sabin picked up the moogle and patted it a bit awkwardly on the head, before it tucked itself up by his neck and started kupoing softly. These danged little guys were going to be the death of him. He figured they would be anyway.
Her enthusiasm about the little creatures was endearing anyway, especially when she just continued to chatter about how cute and fluffy and innocent they were. They were all of those things, but somehow, it was cute when she said it. Or maybe cute wasn’t the right word. He didn’t know, women were confusing. “They are quite the bunch anyway.” Along with talking, he was still awkwardly stroking the fluffy little moogle that was tucked up under his neck, sleeping and mewling softly in its sleep. Though he might not admit to finding these moogles cute too, to himself he had to begrudge them of being pretty dang adorable. Not, of course, that he would go around broadcasting that, especially when his brother was around.
When she gave him that sheepish look and apologized, Sabin waved his large hand. “Oh don’t you worry about that Terra! Edgar’s always trying to come up with some way to get my goat, and me him, it’s the way of brothers,” he mentioned cheerfully, before stroking his chin. “Besides, what Edgar doesn’t want to admit is just the plain simple truth that I’ve got enough muscles to do something like this and still look like a bear.”, he mentioned with a wink to add to his chuckle. Honestly he didn’t mind Edgar’s jabbings. How could he? Edgar was his brother, and brothers did have a tendency to say whatever the heck they wanted to and embarrass the other. Once again, himself included in that, and besides, Edgar was probably just jealous of the time spent with Terra, or with any girl for that matter. Sabin had meant to tell Edgar to never try flirting with Celes, since he didn’t doubt that one of these days, the blonde would run her blade through his brother. She was just that kind of girl.
Yawning, Sabin didn’t pay too much attention when Terra started moving, but perked up a little when she shrieked a bit and started off, instantly ready to defend her from something. Jogging after her, he lengthened his stride to try and find her. When he did see her, his eyes widened a big. “Terra!”, he shouted when he saw what was happening. Kicking his movements into high speed, he sprinted toward where she was trying to pull some moogle. When he got close, he reached out a hand to grasp her around the waist and pull her back, but she disappeared before he could do so, getting sucked into whatever it was. “Terra no!”, his strangled voice called out, before the moogle in his arms started to get sucked out of his grasp. “Kupo!”, it squeaked, flailing at him, before he reached up and secured it in his arms again, tucking it into his shoulder with an arm around to anchor it. The wind seemed to be sucking at him, his clothes and hair whipping around while he crouched down and dug his heels in, not wanting to have to get sucked in.
But there was no choice. Terra had been sucked through, and he had to find her. Patting the moogle on the head, Sabin tucked him even tighter up against his bare chest and charged at the mass. “Haiyaaa!”, he shouted, before he too got sucked into the mass. The moogle in his arms chattered its displeasure, but then snuggled up against him again, tucking itself there. Where was he? Struggling against the feeling of floating, Sabin had barely any time to react before he was spat out on the other side. With a grunt he whirled around to land on his back instead of crushing the moogle. “Ugh,” he grunted, but sat up then, glancing around. “Terra?!”, he bellowed out, the moogle chattering its displeasure again. Damnation, where was Terra?

After the moogle fluffing lessons, Terra just knew that her teaching skills had been fantastic. The moogles, instead of running from Sabin with scared sounding kupos, now flocked around him as if he were the greatest being on the entire planet with loving kupos. Terra almost had competition with collecting the love of the moogles. The thought made her smile as she looked, smiled and even laughed a little at Sabin as he spoke. He may have been a bear of a man, but he obviously wasn’t a ferocious cave bear…he was a pure teddy bear at heart, but having already slipped up to Edgar about the moogles, Terra wasn’t going to make any teddy bear related comments just yet. With a smile still on her face, holding the moogles in her arms with complete satisfaction, Terra simply rocked the fluffy creatures in her arms, feeling so happy at this moment…if there was anything that could bring a smile to her face, it was a moogle.
With that sheepish look on her face, she felt a little better, hearing nearly the exact same words that Edgar had told her after she’d practically scolded him for laughing at Sabin and his fluffing of the moogles. It wasn’t a pathetic thing! He was still a strong and manly man, especially to someone who didn’t know him. He was quite the physically intimidating figure, so what if he’d gone moogle fluffing and agreed to come today? That didn’t mean a thing! Terra sighed quietly and nodded her head, still holding onto the moogles carefully so they didn’t plop out of her arms. “That’s basically what Edgar said to me. If it makes you feel any better about the matter, I did scold him.” She grinned almost as if she were proud of that fact, but in the end, brothers would be brothers and picking on one another was not out of the ordinary. Still…Terra didn’t like others to be picked on due to her slip ups. Oh well, that was no longer a concern to be worried about right now, there were other things drawing her attention, things that didn’t seem quite as friendly or laugh-worthy.
Seeing the lone moogle being dragged towards the portal, Terra gently prodded the other moogles in her arms away, turning to chase after the one being dragged. The most worried of all looks appeared on her face as she had caught the creature, curled herself up to protect it, and then being tugged into the portal no matter how hard she tried to escape it’s grasp, as if gravity were simply pulling her in further and further with as much force possible before being completely engulfed into the vortex. With the moogle in her arms shaking and making scared sounds, Terra just patted it slightly, trying to comfort it before the feeling of floating drifted away, and from floating…it went to freefalling. Which was pretty much what she and the fuzzy creature were doing now. Glancing at the ground, Terra wailed slightly, the moogle slipping from her grasp as she was heading straight downwards towards the ground. It wasn’t that far of a drop, but enough to make an impact. It seemed like Sabin had hit the ground before she had. Odd. But oh well.
Hitting the ground on her stomach, Terra rolled herself over on her back, groaning a bit out of discomfort for the way she’d landed. “Ow.” She whined slightly before hearing a faint ‘kupo’, causing her eyes to lift straight up to see the moogle land on her stomach, her arms instantly clasping around it as she felt the wind being knocked out of her. “Oof…” she protested when the moogle landed. Turning her head slightly and feeling a faint voice from her own throat croak out due to the lack of air, Terra put a small smile on her face. “I’m right here…and I’m…okay.” She breathed, just letting her eyes shut as she laid across the very uncomfortable stone-like ground. “Are you okay, Sabin?” she questioned, hearing footsteps around them in various places, but not paying any mind to it just yet, Terra simply wanted to catch her breath first, before exploring whatever this place was. After landing heavily on the ground, Sabin just lay there a moment, but just as quickly he had sat up. Training ten years with Duncan had meant that he had been knocked around and punched and kicked plenty of times, so this little fall didn't effect him hardly at all. "Kupo!", came the disgruntled little moogle in his arms. Glancing down at it, Sabin patted the head of the little tyke and then hoisted him up by his shoulder and calling for Terra. What if she had been separated in that weird little between worlds place-...oh look there she was! He didn't have time to move to try and catch her before she landed on the ground. Thankfully it was only a few feet, so he didn't have to be worried that she would break her neck. And the other moogle made it out too. Picking himself up, Sabin started walking over toward her, before he dropped down beside her on his knee, a hand on her shoulder. For a minute he studied her to see how she was doing. And though she seemed to have gotten the breath knocked out of her, she seemed to be unharmed. "You doing alright Terra?", he asked in a slightly worried voice. The moogle was still chattering in his arms, and so he shifted the fluffy creature until it was tucked up underneath his chin. From his experience, moogles seemed to like being tucked up where it was warm. And he turned out to be right, because the fuzzy little guy instantly settled down to be quietly content and snooze a little.
When he was sure that Terra was alright, Sabin's gaze lifted to see why it was that he heard so many people...and was so taken by surprise that he drew back, not quite getting where they were. It was evident that they weren't in Figaro anymore though... "Terra...I don't think we're in Figaro anymore...", he finally mentioned, lifting his arm and pointing to the buildings that were built around them as a heavy sigh rumbled from his chest. "Mommy they just fell from the sky!!", the excited voice of a child squeaked out. Standing up calmly, Sabin shifted the moogle around and offered a smile in the direction of the children that were flocked around what he thought must be their mother. Almost instantly the sister to the boy spoke. "Mommy why is he naked?!" For a minute he was confused, before he glanced down and realized that he had no shirt on from training with Duncan before meeting Terra. As the children continued, an amused grin lifted onto his lips. "Mommy he's so huge! He's like a behe...bah...bahemo....behemoth!", she finally got out. As soon as she did, Sabin's booming laughter escaped. "Oh mom he's got a moogle doll! Can we get a moogle doll?!" As all four children tugged on the woman, she seemed to lose patience quickly and decide she wanted to get her children away from the odd situation and was now dragging the stubborn children after her. Offering his free hand to Terra to help her up, Sabin grinned with amusement. "I guess I'm a bear and a behemoth," he mentioned with a chuckle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 710 Muse:; Great! Terra simply needed a moment. She and the moogle sitting on her stomach were both pretty much gasping for air like a fish out of water. The wind had been knocked out the much tinier girl as she patted a hand against the fluffy moogle, trying to sooth it. Her patting seemed to do a little bit of good. When she exclaimed where she was, that she was okay, she felt a little bit of air coming back to her lungs, but still…that was going to hurt later, she could tell. With a deep breath, she pushed herself to sit up and kept the moogle in her lap as it pretty much clung to her sash, not wanting another fall like that again. The scared moogle brought a small smile to Terra’s face as she gently patted it. “Don’t worry, we’re safe now.” She said in a calming tone, the fluffy creature shivering by her.
Looking at Sabin when he spoke about not being in Figaro, Terra then turned to look at the…place they were at. It was completely different than the location they’d just been in. How…where…what the heck was going on?! With a confused look on her face, she slowly patted the moogle still, her attention definitely on something else rather than being a fluffer for now. Her bright blue eyes scanned the city they were sitting in the middle of before hearing the voices of ecstatic children. A wider smile appeared on her lips as she heard what they were saying about Sabin. He certainly was a huge guy! Terra of all people would be the first to admit that, she had called him a bear before anyways. A slight laugh escaped her lips as she bent her knees, ready to get to her feet as she shifted the moogle into one of her arms, it still clung to her for dear life…as if it was going to go shooting out of another vortex at any given moment. Anyone or anything that threw moogles was just plain cruel.
Reaching and taking Sabin’s hand, hoisting herself to her feet, she adjusted the moogle in her arm and adjusted her attire as well. Blinking and looking around, she was in complete awe of this place. Everything was so tall and so bright. Different things were flashing around on screens…it was just…so overwhelming. “Ha, you sure are! Does that make you feel good?” she asked in a joking tone towards the comment about being both a bear and a behemoth in size. “But…yeah, this definitely isn’t Figaro. Perhaps…we should…try and figure out what this place is called before moving any further?” Terra asked with a tilt of her head as she took one step forward, a few sets of eyes turning her way and looking at her and Sabin, as well at the creatures they were holding. Of course people were going to stare! Who wouldn’t notice two people falling from a portal? Terra was absolutely sure that she would be staring as well, so there would be no judging of these citizens who had nothing better to look at. She simply gave them her charming sweet smiles and a brief nod in greeting. Apparently they didn’t know what that meant. Oh well. Their loss.
Spotting a building ahead, it looked as if people were coming in and out of the doors leading to it. Terra lifted a hand and pointed at it before turning a bit to look at Sabin. “Maybe we should head over there. Surely someone or something there can tell us where we’re at and what’s going on.” She insisted before just…taking the lead and starting towards the store. As she approached the doors, she lifted a hand to open them, but upon stepping on a mat…they slid open. Stopping, Terra blinked for a second before taking a step back, watching them close. That was…how did it do that!? Stepping forward again, the doors opened and a bright smile crossed her face. “Sabin! Did you see that?! The doors they have here…they’re…magic or something!” she squeaked in an excited tone, nearly forgetting what it was they were heading this way for. Oh! Right! Figuring things out. That could wait. While she accepted his hand, Sabin helped her to her feet by tugging on her arm, mindful to try and be gentle. In his early years with Duncan, Sabin hadn't quite known the new strength he had, so there had been plenty of times he'd hurt someone -including himself at times- or destroyed something. After ten plus years of controlling his own body, Sabin could realize how easily he could hurt someone. Then again, even if Terra looked like she was going to fall apart if a stiff breeze blew at her, he knew differently. Sabin had seen her in that esper form of hers...and was still slightly terrified of it, even though it-...well anyway, he needed to control his mind like he could his body. The two went hand in hand anyway. Couldn't blame a man though, not with...that form. But he managed to close his mind and focus on other things. He could thank years of controlling his mind for that. How had his mind led him to her second form anyway?
Gently removing his hand from her grasp when she was standing, Sabin felt the moogle chatter in his arms again. Glancing down, he quirked a brow and shifted the little guy around in his arms once again, trying to comfort the little guy, who was obviously distressed about something. In doing so, Sabin turned until he saw the children collected around the mother. He hadn't been around all that many kids in his lifetime. Aside from his brother...well there hadn't been many kids running around Figaro castle, and the children growing up hadn't seemed like children to him, since he had been young himself. Once he had grown up and ran away, he really hadn't seen many children. His time had all been taken up in training with Duncan and sparing with the other men and women in Duncan's dojo....he hadn't had time for social visits anyway. If felt odd now, to be able to go as he pleased.
When the children got dragged away, his attention returned to the petite woman next to him. So they weren't in Figaro, that much they could easily discern. So...what now? She had the right idea anyway, about finding out just where they were. It seemed altogether...sparkly around here. He wasn't sure what everything was around him, but it made his jaw drop. “Yeah…we should try to figure out where we are. I think it’s called sparkles land. Everything is sparkly around here, have you noticed?” Sabin was just…enthralled with everything around them. How had people actually figured out how to master all this stuff? He felt…overwhelmed by everything he was seeing right at the moment. It was all so new…and everything was sparkling around him…he couldn’t seem to figure out exactly where to look. Everything captured his attention…and so where was he supposed to keep his attention focused on?
The doors she pointed to seemed to be a good idea. Nodding, Sabin shifted the moogle in his arms and started to walk toward the doors alongside her. “Yeah, that looks like a good place to start and figure something out. Maybe someone can help us.” While walking along, he continued to pat at the moogle, who eventually scuttled up until he was standing on his shoulder, his little hands wrapped around Sabin’s head. Moogles…they were all against him. “I think we should name these two little guys and they should live with us,” he said in amusement.
He missed the doors because his focus was elsewhere, when Terra squeaked about it. Looking back, he blinked while he glanced from her to the doors, which were closed at the moment. When she stepped on the mat again though, his jaw dropped open. “How…how does it know that we’re here?”, he asked in amazement. “Here, let me try!”, he eagerly said, before pulling her back and watching the doors close. With eyes wide with amazement, Sabin stepped forward, looking for clues on how it knew that they were there. Without his knowing that it was the mat, they snapped open, as if inviting him to come inside. “Holy...why are their doors magical? I didn’t even think that was…was possible…we’ve gotta figure this out sometime,” he mentioned, before inching his way through them, waiting for them to try and close and smash into him. Oh he was prepared for that alright, even pressing his arms out to hold them in place before motioning to Terra with his head. “Alright! Head on in quick, before they decide to close.”

This place was very…not Figaro. Terra wasn’t sure she’d ever seen a place like this before in her entire life. Everything was so big and bright. There were screens on the walls that flashed different pictures and had voices coming from them, it was weird…and not from her time, she knew that much upon first glance. But, the good thing was that she and Sabin had landed here all in one piece, as well as the moogles had! Giving a small nod towards her larger companion, Terra did notice everything seemed bright and sparkly here, it was kind of pretty…but also intimidating with how large the buildings were. What if one were to collapse or topple over? She shuddered at the thought before adjusting the moogle in her arms. “It is definitely shiny. I’ve never seen anything like it.” She said in awe as she then found herself looking from the sky scrapers to straight forward towards a store. That would be the best place to start, someone there could tell them something about what was going on, or at least that’s what she hoped.
Starting off towards the building, the moogle snuggling in her arms, Terra gave a quiet laugh at Sabin’s words. “Oh? You think so? Do you have any names in mind?” she said in a completely serious way. If she really could, she would name her moogle and keep it. It seemed to like her…and judging by the one that was wrapping it’s arms around Sabin’s head…it liked him too! Ever since her expert moogle fluffing lessons, Moogles just couldn’t get enough of the big guy, which was both sweet and satisfying. It made Terra smile every time she took a glance towards the larger blonde, what manly man wanted to hang out with a small moogle fluffing girl and her moogle friends anyways? He was one of a kind, that was for sure, and Terra appreciated him dearly as a friend, she couldn’t think of anyone better to experience this weirdness with, even though she loved her friends all, she was sure that any of them could make a trip interesting…particularly Sabin or Locke even. They both had cheerful high spirits, something Terra always admired.
Of course those wonderful thoughts came to a screeching halt when stepping onto the mat that led into the store. Terra was completely mesmerized and distracted from her initial mission. She was full of glee as she looked at the doors, stepping back off the mat and watching them close, stepping forward and watching them open. It was as if they knew she was coming, or they were just weird and trying to throw her off. She’d never seen anything like it! So far this city was becoming far more entertaining than she had thought in the first place. Stepping back lightly with Sabin’s direction, she let him experience the amazingness that was the magical doors that knew when people were coming, her face still lit up with a giant smile as she snuggled the moogle even tighter, it didn’t seem to mind. “It’s quite amazing! We should ask someone about it later…I wonder if it does that for everyone.” She said while freeing one hand from the moogle and tapping at her chin. It was most interesting, this world and all its sparkles and magical doors.
Watching Sabin go forward and put out his arms to make sure the door wouldn’t crush Terra when she wandered inside, the blonde girl took quick steps and eased herself through the doors and looked behind her to see if they’d even started to close. She felt a sense of satisfaction flow through her. This was going to be quite an adventure, and it had just started! Turning back from facing the doors to facing the interior of the building, that’s when her jaw dropped. It was huge! It was full from wall to wall. “Oh my…” she quietly squeaked while placing a hand to her lips before moving that hand to rub at her hairline, trying to figure out a game plan as to where to head from here. A slight frown crossing her features as she then turned swiftly to look at Sabin. “Which way to do you want to start? There has to be something here that can help us, besides…it never hurt anyone to go exploring, right?” Words: 855 Muse: Great! Tagged: Sabin Wearing: Already linked.
