A deep sigh escaped the lips of the Warrior of Light as he stood at his usual post, next to Cosmos’ throne. His eyes scanned the people out within the sanctuary, it was something he’d grown accustomed to by now, seeing new faces that had been summoned for the latest cycle of war against Chaos. It really was a never ending battle, but at least there were more helping hands this time around. He trusted that the other warriors, from Firion to Lightning, were out there already taking to the battlefields while these newcomers needed to be informed as to why they were here, what was going on, and what they were searching for. As he looked towards them, he could definitely see the potential each warrior had, and why they were here. Each of them seemed to have a strong hold with the light, that was good…but the thing was…did they have the will to press onwards in a fight? I guess they’d soon find out.
Looking at the different faces, Warrior could see the variety of warriors in his and Cosmos’ presence. There were those that stood out, from a young looking card wielder, to a green haired mage of sorts, there was just a complete mix of fighters. Those that used weapons and those that preferred a different method of battle, he could greatly appreciate each effort that they put forth, though he knew little about each of them. Simply their abilities and what they could do with them. With another sigh, though not one of stress or anything along those lines, Warrior cut his gaze from the new warriors of light towards the goddess that had brought them all here. "Cosmos..." Gazing at her out of the corners of his eyes, he’d turned himself slightly, still standing at her side as her flank, as he always did – aside from a temporary problem that needed to be taken care of previously – and he spoke quietly above some of the mumbles out within the small crowd. “They seem…anxious. These are all of the warriors you summoned, yes?” he asked tilting his head only slightly before returning his gaze towards those new warriors.
The more the merrier they say, and with the manikins growing in numbers, it seemed that the more hands that were able to defeat them than that definitely was better. Hopefully the rift wasn’t open again, otherwise Warrior couldn’t imagine the sacrifice it would take to close it again. Shaking his head at the thought, he simply folded his arms behind his back and let his silence take over once more, they would hear from Cosmos soon enough about the situation at hand, for now, it was nice to leave them to mumble amongst themselves for a few brief moments, to know that this was important…anyone could tell already, and hopefully no one objected to them being summoned here, he knew once upon a time there were quite a few who had not wanted to fight…but if you think about the overall picture…this was a fight for the light, to ensure that Chaos and his lackeys stayed in their place…away from the different worlds out there, to ensure that harmony and peace would continue to linger where it was allowed.
“You all are here for a reason…” he spoke up loudly, enough to hush them for a moment, to gain attention, but that was all it was for. He was nothing more than a simple warrior, summoned just as they were – for the most part – if anyone had the authority, it was Cosmos…and from here, he’d let her take the reins, after all, it was everything she stood for that was the reason they were fighting. For harmony. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 737 Muse: Great! Tagged: New Cosmos’ Recruits! The day had arrived once more. Like so many times before, the cycles had begun anew, and with Chaos taking on new pawns to do his fighting for him, Cosmos had had no choice but to summon more people to boost her own ranks. Some of the old ones had been summoned as well, because even though they deserved a break from all this fighting, she needed people who already knew what to do. People who already understood what was at stake here and what they were up against. Not all of them were present, as most had already gone out to get a head start in this upcoming struggle. Slowly, the goddesses eyes glanced from one person to the other as she tried to read their expressions. Some looked frightened, others looked surprisingly relaxed. It was always interesting to see how different people’s reactions were to the unknown, but whether they were scared or not, they’d all soon have to get into the same state of mind if they were to win this war against Chaos. They all needed to be determined and strong of will, and although she fully trusted that they could reach that state, for some, it would take some time before they were ready. Hopefully they’d be ready before it was too late.
Her head turned slightly towards the Warrior of Light as he spoke to her, but her eyes remained focused on her new warriors. With a slow nod, she answered his question. These were indeed the warriors she’d summoned, these were the people she had handpicked to fight her battles for her. Although… it wasn’t really her battle, was it? Not just her battle anyway, because what happened here would affect all the other worlds out there as well. If they failed in their task here, all of their homes would be in danger. Once they realized that, most were more than willing to cooperate. “Their anxiety is understandable,” she told him quietly, “However, they each have the strength to move past it and become valuable assets in this war-effort. Their potential is limitless,” Some of the previous warriors hadn’t seemed cut out for the job either, but they had more than proven themselves when push finally came to shove, and these new warriors would as well, she just knew it. For a little while, she simply let the new warriors speak amongst themselves. Just being here had to be quite overwhelming for some, and they needed to let it all sink in before she could address them, otherwise they wouldn’t fully pay attention to what she was saying anyway.
After a few moments of letting them discuss their odd situation with one another, the Warrior of Light spoke up and drew their attention back to where they were standing. As soon as the mumbling stopped and silence fell over the Sanctuary, Cosmos took a deep breath, ready to relay the same message she’d given many times before in the past cycles. “You have all been summoned here to uphold perhaps the most delicate balance in our universe; the balance between light and darkness, between discord and harmony, peace and chaos,” she started in her usual calming voice, “My name is Cosmos, and I am the goddess who has called each and every one of you here; I am the goddess of harmony. It is my duty to ensure that peace and order will continue to prosper in each of your worlds. However, there is another, a god known as Chaos that wishes for all your homes to be ruled by fear and pain,” the goddess cast her eyes down for a moment in sorrow before giving the newly arrived warriors a confident look once more, “Your actions in this realm will dictate not just what this world, but every other world in existence will look like. Defeat Chaos and his warriors, and the peace shall last. Should you fail however, everything good and just you know shall be destroyed. The fate of the worlds, all of the worlds, lies in your hands,” she clasped her hands over her heart and let her words sink in for a brief moment before continuing on, “I understand that this is overwhelming to hear, and I know many of you will have questions. Unfortunately, time is of the essence, and we cannot waste time in this war. At any given moment, the battle could be tipped in Chaos’s favor. Although I may not be able to answer all of your questions now, know that I will watch over each of you. Wherever you go, you will not be alone. And know that the answers you seek will find you, in good time,” with a light sigh, Cosmos cast a quick glance at Warrior. She had said all she needed to say for now, what happened next was entirely up to the new arrivals, “Your paths lie ahead of you, however, it is up to you to decide which one you’ll walk.” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 835 Tagged: New Cosmos Recruits Location: Order's Sanctuary Outfit: Regular Notes: Got this post up at zero energy because I know you guys are dying to get started, right? So the champion of Vana'Diel was selected among the heroes of all world to be one of the warriors fighting on behalf of the Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos. He felt up to the cast, since everything he has done when he became an adventure was vanquishing the evil that threatened his world. He even have the leadership, the courage and the heart of a hero that is destined to provide happiness and safety to those that does not share the power to change their future. Hero, for sure, was very proud that Cosmos saw in him a chance to bring light into this darkness. The young hero stared at the most remarkable and beautiful image of the Goddess as her most loyal knight stood to her side and many other valiant heroes stood in his very same position. Many of them showed kindness, others had strength while he had courage. This place was at ease, so calm that the wind barely made a move around them. It was like going into paradise, a place were evil was beyond reach and only those capable of shedding the same glimmer of light were invited. As her swift voice went over the details of their summoning, Angel could see the power of good this entity emanated... she felt no different than Y'venoille, a pure hearted woman whose life was given for the sake of the innocent. Furthermore, the goddess declared the importance of this battle and the chaos that will be released if they were to fail in keeping the balance of the worlds. As her words entered Hero's system, he felt inspired and confident that this may be a battle that will be victorious for the side of the kind Cosmos. With his palm over his heart, Hero took a step forward among the heroes that surrounded him while bowing to the almighty presence of the goddess. He looked directly into the charming eyes of the entity and let a smile gleam over his face while he let a few words slip out of his lips. "Goddess of Harmony, I don't need to question your decision. If you summoned me to fight in your name then shall be it. For whatever reason you may have, I will blindly follow your guidance and drive away any threat that seeks to take the balance of our worlds away. For this... I will fight!" Hero said already taking a side in this delicate situation. He could care less about the consequences of his hasty decision, this was The Goddess of Harmony, what more of a greater good he could serve? Also he promised poor Lillisette that he will not let her sacrifice let in vain and that as long as he live, no evil will cause any pain upon their lives. For this and for more, Hero was ready to let the blessing of light to guide his way in saving everyone from the upcoming menace. Hero turned to take a look at his companions, those who might side with him to fight the chaos pawns. Many of them may feel the same way as Hero but not everyone will. With nothing more to add, Hero decided to remain in his position in front of the group and facing Cosmos... showing that he stands to his decision and that his loyalty now belongs to the Goddess. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Count: 568 Tagged: Cosmos' New People Outfit: Regular Male Hume Attire Note: Well, hope this is ok.

The Holy Knight was back, to that place that peace lasts forever. To the sanctuary in which she found the hope and the strength she sought to confront all the issues she found upon the brand she bears carved to her skin. This time, the Goddess of Harmony Cosmos revealed to her as the most beautiful and pure image she could ever imagine. Such gleam and cosmic sensation was beyond the false gods she used to serve back there in Ivalice. Her heart bounced like a chocobo chick learning to fly as her hopes were granted by the image of this entity. Agrias could not feel more grateful to be called by the Goddes like she expected to due to the loyalty she pledge in the past... in this very same place. This time she was not the only one, there were many, like her, that reacted to the call of light. Many different and powerful warriors stood by her side as she locked her sight into the one that opened a whole new world to herself... the Warrior of Light. Agrias remained silent, awaiting the speech of the Goddess. She almost danced her way a few steps towards the big group of heroes and glanced at each of them with hope. Agrias could not be happier to meet the eyes of her beloved entity. The voice of the Godess was nothing more than calm and paced. It was like listening to a relaxing melody that no bard in any world could mimic. The holy knight listened carefully to the purpose of their call and everything that is about to happen. While the Goddess went over the details, Agrias could not feel more disgusted by the appearance of those who sought to bring chaos into the worlds. Hopefully the ones summoned by the fallen god will include either St. Ajora or Dycedarg... so Agrias will have a second chance to destroy these evil beings and gain satisfaction from her victory and there still a chance that her name will be cleared forever after being branded a heretic. After the Goddess explained her purpose, a young heroic kid stood forward and spoke for himself. The man neither questioned Cosmos' intentions or asked any questions... he just blindly committed himself to fight against those summoned by the other side of the coin. With such bravery shown by the kid, Agrias joined his position, whilst accepting the task of fighting with Cosmos for the good cause. She also showed her respects to the Goddess and provided words that may or may not convince. others to decide whether they should join. "My Goddess, once again I plea your attention. Once I pledge my oath upon your divinity. This knight meant every single world prayed upon your throne. I shall comply to my compromise and serve thee as this young heroic man. Let this servant of light to wield the sword of justice upon those who are blinded by the taint of darkness and accomplish out goals of keeping the world at peace"Agrias then looked at the young hero standing to her side while nodding to him. She then turned her attention back to the Godess to let her see the truth in the knight's words. Whatever their tasks may be, Agrias knew she will be capable of and prove everyone that the only reason she lives is to let the world see the sunlight after a horrendous storm... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Count: 580 Next: Recruits of light Muse: YEAH! Well this was different.
Zack blinked at the group that had gathered around the woman sitting regally on her throne, as well as the silver haired man standing next to her. They made a striking pair, and Zack figured that she was the goddess people were talking about. She sure looked it, every inch of her. Mostly in her poise though, she was in complete control of the situation. Zack had no doubts that the man standing beside her looking so possessive would bust up anyone that tried to harm her in any way. As far as Zack was concerned, anyone with any heroic thoughts would do the same. Something about her just made you want to protect her. He couldn't really put a finger on just why he felt like that, but he did. With curious gaze his eyes returned to the crowd of people that were there. He didn’t seem to know anyone…but the blonde girl…somehow it seemed like he should know her! He hadn’t been able to remember her name until she had told him, but even then he couldn’t remember if he knew her or if her name just sounded familiar. Still, he had gravitated toward her and she to him. In a crowd you didn't know in the slightest, just having a face that might be familiar was great. So his mind turned from the people to the place they were now in. Zack didn't know where 'here' was, but it was odd here. Drawing in an annoyed breath, Zack released it in a bit of a huff, gaining the attention of the blonde next to him, earning him a 'what's up?' look. Zack shrugged it off, sent her a lopsided grin and then turned his gaze fully back toward the woman sitting on the throne. Waiting, he hoped, for an answer to his questions.
Thankfully she did start to speak. Propping his large hands on his hips, Zack waited for her to tell them what they were there for before he asked his own questions. Hopefully she would cover the basic ones. And she didn't disappoint him. Her voice was soothing as she explained who exactly she wasn’t where they were and why they were there. Goddess of harmony? She looked it, from her silky blonde hair, to sculpted features. But Zack was too busy thinking about what it was she was saying to pay any real attention to that. With another deep breath, he digested what she said. Fate of the worlds, even his. Zack thought of Gaia and his chest tightened. A picture of Tifa entered his mind. He was confused though. She…she had cursed him the last time he had seen her-…no, he had to have seen her after that, when he had been brought back to life. Something-…Costa. Something…he had been with her at Costa. She had been in his arms. Why-...he didn’t know, but he had to figure out. There were all these jumbled memories he couldn't make heads or tails of, but for some reason, Tifa's face just kept coming back up over and over again. And...of course he would ensure that peace and balance remained. He wished the goddess could answer his questions, but for right now all he could do was be content with what he had learned.
Zack hadn't ever put real stock in destiny or that mumbo jumbo, instead thinking that whatever happened was a result of the actions of others. And the same in this case. In his experience, things just happened, not for a reason. Had Genesis not told Sephiroth what he had found out, Zack might not have been killed that first time, and he might still have Sephiroth as a comrade. So this...there was nothing set in stone about what was going to happen with this war between chaos and harmony. He had to help battle the chaos so that those he was close to wouldn't be affected.
Watching the other two pledge to fight, Zack made his decision. Patting Rikku's shoulder, Zack stepped forward, a cocky grin on his face as he looked at the two figures by the throne, his hands resting on his hips, stance relaxed. "I'll fight," he mentioned, his features amused. This was just another phase. Another battle to get through. "I am the hero after all," he said with a grin, eyes sparkling with his zeal for life. He had told himself he would be content with living out his years and never have to pick up his sword again, but when it came right down to it, he felt fully alive when he did have his weapon in his hands.

What was this place?
Maria had been taken by surprise, ending up here with no reason behind it whatsoever. Her eyes were drawn to the ground, it’s shallow water sloshing under her boots as she took aimless steps around, just as other people were that were looking around with their own jaws ready to hit the floor. Whatever this place was, it had a sense of calmness and serenity to it, like a sanctuary. Still, that didn’t put the archer at ease though, she was curious as to why she was here, and who these people surrounding the area were. This wasn’t Fynn, she didn’t see Firion or Guy anywhere…and she of course never expected to see Leon these days. He’d fled…fled from everything it seemed, how he could abandon his family…she still didn’t understand it, but whatever, that was his choice. Shaking her head a bit at the thought, her eyes were directed towards the two that were placed in the center of the sanctuary, those seemingly in charge.
With a deep sigh, she wandered across the watery floor back towards where the golden haired one and the armored one were placed. Now it was time to actually figure out as to why they were here, what all of this was about. Standing next to a green haired girl, Maria hadn’t noticed she’d been staring, not just at the girl to her left, but everyone, trying to size them up and get used to what they looked like. Everyone was different. Giving the mage a small nod of greeting, Maria returned her gaze towards the warrior fellow, who spoke up…hushing any and all silent mumbling amongst the small crowd of at least ten or so. They were all here for a purpose, well duh they were! Maria wanted an explanation, why was she and these other people here? But once the golden haired one, Cosmos, got up and started speaking, Maria felt a bit more…proper, a bit more…obedient. As if she were a solider or something, and after hearing this woman speak, this goddess…she technically could call herself a soldier of the light. How odd.
Fight for the light? Fight for harmony? Why did this make her stomach turn? It was a familiar feeling, as if she were going to face something dangerous…or something she knew she wouldn’t like. Oh well, if it meant keeping the worlds at bay then so be it. She was no weakling, and she was going to prove that to anyone who dared question her otherwise. With a stern and very determined look on her face, her eyes were drawn to the first two who had stepped up and declared their loyalty to Cosmos, followed by some cocky sounding man with black spiky hair. The violet haired archer simply cleared her throat before taking a small glance around her, stepping forward and piping up, her throat feeling dry as her voice was almost quiet, something she wasn’t known for, ask anyone around Fynn. “I too declare my loyalty to the side of Harmony. Should it protect our worlds from any further Chaos, then it is worth the price we pay as soldiers.” She spoke clearly, a small nod towards both the Warrior of Light and to Cosmos before she stepped back in line, taking her place and slipping her bow into her hands, simply holding it out of comfort.
I guess you could consider all of the people here to be heroes, it was nice to know that no matter where you came from, what you spoke like or what you looked like…there was always a cause that everyone could work towards. This was going to take teamwork, and hopefully all turned in Cosmos’ favor, otherwise…these were not the right warriors to be summoning. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 724 Muse: Good! Post by Rinoa Heartilly on Sept 7, 2012 0:42:18 GMT -5
Rinoa turned left and right, looking at all of the different people that were standing in this mysterious place. She had been very surprised when one moment she was just wasting time away with Angelo, and the next she was in some sort of open setting with warriors all around her. She was amazed by all of them, they looked quite strong and confident in their abilities. Some had large weapons, and others appeared to be mages, which meant they were able to summon magic. She wondered if she would be able to call on any Guardians to help in this battle. It surely would be a great help. And the women that was before them. She was absolutely radiant. She was a Goddess, after all. She was the one who had called Rinoa hear to this place to fight. Her Pinwheel was strapped to her arm, loaded and ready to be of use, but she couldn’t help but grasp the chain around her neck and the two rings that hung from it, out of worry. Would she be strong enough for such a task? She had been called, but...well, Rinoa could only hope and do the best that she could from this moment on. If she was to fight, then she would fight to her dying breath if it meant destroying evil.
The Goddess, Cosmos she said her name, started to speak and explain why so many warriors were here, standing in this watery room. As Cosmos continued to state why they were there, Rinoa couldn’t help but get more and more shocked. She knew she had to fight, but a whole world, her world, was on line, along with the balance of the entire universe! Her hands lifted up slightly to her mouth, but then they lowered as the Goddess continued to speak. They had to fight against the evil. With their actions, they decided whether their own world would continue to thrive with peace. Rinoa understood that. She had fought against evil before. She had been possessed by someone who was very evil, and was probably fighting for Chaos’ side. Which meant there was a chance that she would end up going head-to-head against Ultimecia. And that meant she would have to save her world not only from the Time Witch but also from all of Chaos. It was a daunting task. But, Rinoa had been called, and she wouldn’t give up out of fear. Someone had to fight. Even if it was someone like her. She would do her best.
Cosmos finished her speech, and silence followed until one man walked forward and bowed to the Goddess, showing his allegiance to the Goddess and claiming that he would fight in this war against evil. Three more followed after him, both looking strong with weapons strapped to their side and back. Rinoa looked down at her Pinwheel, knowing all too well the power that was continued within and which only she could control. If she worked hard enough and didn’t give up, she had a chance. She just had to remember if she won, then her friends would be safe. The people she cared about most would be safe. Her world would be safe. And that was all that mattered to her. So, taking a deep breath, she took the necessary steps that would take her closer to the Goddess Cosmos, and smiled a confident smile, her hand still clutching her necklace. “If it means keeping keeping peace and harmony for the worlds then I will fight with all the strength that I have. I, also, pledge my loyalty to you, Goddess.”
She took a couple of steps after that to be courteous as she thought of what was ahead of her. Fight after fight after fight was sure to follow. But, she would do her best to keep up with it all. The balance of the world was in their hands. No pressure. None at all.

He didn't understand what was happening at first. Then again, Ace probably wasn't the only one. It was a new experience, and it was strange. He looked around, and cocked his head slightly at all the people. Had these people come from different worlds? They didn't seem like they came from Oriens, but he couldn't be so sure. Ace clicked his tongue, and shoved his hands in his pockets. He felt a little... unease, and like he was waiting something to happen. Was that normal? Maybe. He wouldn't know. But, all these people looked so different. Lot's of variety, that was for sure! People who fought with strength, and then some which used magic, like him. They couldn't have been gathered here for no reason. It wasn't a coincidence. Something was up, Ace just didn't know what. His eyes flicked up to the man with silver hair, and the woman on her throne. Were these the people that had gathered them all?
Blue eyes scanned the crowd again. Ace didn't know what to think of these people. He sighed, and scratched the back of his neck with his hand. He wished something would be said. He wanted to see if his suspicons would be right or wrong. It made his head hurt slightly, all this anxiety. He let out a small 'Hm', and shut his eyes for a second. Something told him this was important. That they were all here for a reason, something that depended on them all. Maybe, he was exaggerating things. That was it. Maybe. Because he didn't know what was happening. At the moment, they were practically sitting ducks! Ace leant back on his heels, and then rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet. He hummed, before looking over his shoulder. He looked forward once again, and looked at the woman on the throne.
Ace looked down for a second, before looking back up when the woman started speaking. All the worlds were in danger of being in chaos? He clenched his fist. He wouldn't let that happen. No way, over his dead body. He wanted to protect his classmates, his family. He had already lost... Nine and King were no longer with them. Ace didn't want any more of his family getting hurt, or being lost. He wouldn't let that happen. It was a simple answer. Yes, he would fight. But if it was only that simple. Ace had his own war to fight for, his own things to figure out. He had to think of that as well. But, if chaos ensued, then there would be endless war. Maybe... maybe this was more important. Ace frowned, thinking of Nine and King. He didn't want anybody else he loved to die. Nobody else. He released a small sigh, and then nodded slowly and gently. "I..." He swallowed. "I'll fight. I need to protect my family."
Ace crossed his arms, and looked down. Peace. That was what they were all striving for, right? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 668 Muse:; Great! Tagged:; The Cosmos Crew! Post by Edgar Roni Figaro on Sept 8, 2012 9:10:41 GMT -5
Well then… this was certainly something new, that was for sure. One moment, Edgar had been chasing after a moogle with the intention to fluff it (he needed to show Terra his soft and sweet side, and he needed to one up his brother), the next he’d appeared here… with his hands still stretched out as if he were about to grab something. Thank goodness there had been no one around to witness his awkward pose, because that would’ve been a little weird, he assumed. Then again, it might’ve fit this situation just fine, because everything about it – from the location to the people – was weird as well. Without a single warning, he’d appeared at some sort of watery meadow or whatever this place was, and several others had just popped up out of nowhere as well, giving him quite the shock when they suddenly appeared behind him. Even though he’d been here for a few minutes now, the king of Figaro still found himself looking around in confusion as he tried to figure out just where he was. It wasn’t anywhere in his world, that was for certain, but then again, he’d travelled to a different world before, so maybe he shouldn’t have been as surprised as he was feeling right now.
As he looked around, his eyes rested on a pretty lady every once in a while, because by god, that was the only familiar thing in this world so he was entitled to a little staring! And besides, there were so many of them in contrast to maybe one or two dudes that Edgar felt much like a kid in a candy factory. This place was weird, and he wasn’t sure where he was, but he couldn’t lie and say he hated this place… because how could he? With such lovely company? And the lady on the throne looked amazing too with her long, golden hair and her piercing blue eyes. He tried to throw her a seductive smile that had faded away instantly when he noticed the man next to her. Some sort of warrior with silver hair and the weirdest helmet Edgar had ever seen. Perhaps that was what had scared him off and made him not want to walk up to the goddess of sexy and ask her for her number… she had a guard with a deadly headpiece to defend her against unwanted advances. That was pretty smart, and Edgar had to respect her ability to foresee that one of the men in this room would definitely try to get with her, should they get the chance. Oh well, there were still plenty of fish in the sea, the king thought when he spotted a green haired beauty off at a distance.
His girl-watching was crudely interrupted when the throne beauty started talking, and like the gentleman Edgar was, he gave her his full attention. His somewhat cheerful mood soured a little when he learned of why he was here. It wasn’t some happy dream world that had accidentally dumped two or three guys in here… this was real, and this was serious. If they didn’t fight this Chaos god man thing, all of their worlds were doomed? Even Edgar nervously bit his lip when he thought about what all of this meant. If he didn’t fight, his world was doomed. His people were doomed to a life of misery, and he just couldn’t let that happen, now could he? In Edgar’s mind, his people were the most important to worry about. Some believed he was a guy who cared only about flirting with pretty women, and though he did enjoy the thrill of a good hunt, he would never let that admittedly strange hobby get in the way of his duties as a king.
Several of the summoned warriors stepped forward to pledge their allegiance to the goddess that had called them here, and though Edgar didn’t feel the need to step forward, he did nod his head understandingly. If fighting and winning in this world meant that his own world was safe, then of course he’d fight. Edgar had never shied away from difficult tasks such as these, and he wasn’t about to start now. He did kind of wish that the goddess had told them of this task before whisking them away from their homes, because then he would’ve at least had some time to appoint a steward to take care of his duties to the kingdom in his absence. A king suddenly disappearing without explanation tended to send people in a full-blown panic, and Edgar just hoped that he’d be able to make it back before they all went mad and started killing each other or whatever folly the mice did while the cat was away. Hopefully Sabin wouldn’t be too worried as well. Noble though this cause might be, Edgar really couldn’t agree with the goddess’s way of getting people to join her cause. Oh well… there was not much he could do about it now, anyway. He certainly couldn’t go around questioning the goddess about her decision, because he had a feeling that her bodyguard would try and punch him if he so much as said a negative word about the lady. Or even worse, he could try and headbutt his in the gut and slice him open like a pig at the slaughterhouse with those huge spikes on his helmet. Edgar looked around again at what everyone was going to do now. Were they supposed to head off right away to go win this god-sized turf war, or was there something else they needed to do first? Hell if he knew, he was a new guy too, after all. ---------------------------------- Words: 953 Tagged: People! Location: Order's Sanctuary Outfit: Usual Notes: No text, just a manly nod! Aww yeaaah

It had all happened so fast. Too fast even, because her last vision had caught even Serah herself completely off guard. She remembered standing on Sazh’s ship and looking down at Academia with Noel and Mog, and then that vision had just hit her completely out of the blue. It had been a horrible vision, one that had stolen all hope and joy from the pinkette as she’d watched her world get swallowed by darkness just moments before it actually happened. The shock, the terror and despair had been too much for just one person to handle, and rather than waking up a moment later feeling confused and afraid as was the case with most of her visions, Serah hadn’t been able to wake up after this one. Using her last bits of strength, Serah had been able to see her sister one last time before fading away forever. Or that was what she’d thought anyway, when she’d let Lightning go and watched her float away from her, Serah had fully expected to disappear. To become nothing more than a memory in her sister’s subconscious. But… that hadn’t happened. She was still here, though the pinkette had no idea where here even was. There was water flowing underneath her feet, and the entire realm felt quiet and peaceful, like a pleasant dream. The woman perched on her throne looked equally serene, and the warrior at her side looked like the men she’d always envisioned when reading fairy tales.
It was at this exact moment that she felt conflicted about what she even was right now. Was she alive somehow, and was all of this happening for real? Or had she died, and was this the place people went to after their lives had come to an end? Both thoughts were disturbing yet comforting in their own way. Serah didn’t want to be dead, but after everything that had happened, she would be alright with it if she was. So long as her world and her loved ones would continue onwards, she’d be alright with her own death. One girl’s life was a small payment to make for the happy future she had Noel had fought for. But… that vision had not been one of a peaceful world, and although she’d seen the darkness consume everything, she wasn’t exactly sure when it would happen. It could’ve happened right after she died, but it could also happen centuries from now. That was the tough thing about having visions of the future; you could never be sure how far in the future they would come to take place.
With slow steps, Serah walked closer to where the woman and the warrior were, mingling in with the small crowd of people that had already gathered there. Her eyes glanced from person to person, but none of these people seemed familiar to her at all. Who were they? And where was she? What had happened between the moment she’d said goodbye to her sister and her arrival in this place? She looked at the warrior when he spoke up, clearly trying to draw all of their attention and make them stop chatting amongst themselves, although Serah had hardly done any chatting at all. She was more of an introvert than an extrovert anyway. She always had been, and she probably always would be, although travelling with Noel had made her a bit more talkative. Mostly because she did most of the talking. After Noel had casually strolled up to a man and asked him what time they were in, Serah had made sure to give him the proper example before letting him talk to anyone else.
Although the goddess’s talk of Chaos and how it threatened the universe was somewhat frightening, Serah actually felt really excited when she told them of what they had to do. They needed to fight the forces of Chaos to keep it from corrupting other worlds. Perhaps this was her final duty to the world; to defend it from Chaos. Maybe this was why she’d gotten that last vision… it wasn’t some random cloud of darkness, it was chaos that was destroying her home, and she needed to stop it. Once the Chaos was stopped, that should change the future of Pulse one final time, and hopefully it would create the future she, Noel and Lightning had all been fighting for since the beginning. The pinkette clasped her hands together and smiled, listening to the words of the others as they stepped forward and agreed to assist the goddess with her fight. Once they’d all spoke up, Serah too took a small step forward and nodded her head, “Whatever it takes… I’ll see to it that the light prevails,” She spoke softly, her smile widening as she thought about the task that lay ahead of her. It wouldn’t be easy, but Serah felt glad that she’d been chosen to provide one last service for her home and her friends. If fighting here meant that they could all live a happy life, how could she not feel honored by this duty? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Words: 850 Tagged: People! She fully intended to blame Gippal for being here. Rikku couldn't remember exactly what it was that she had been doing, but her hazzy memory included him, so she was running with that. So here she was, in a weird place, with a weird lady sitting on a throne, in amongst a ton of people she had never met. Today was just turning out to be such a great day. Yup, though on the flip side, Rikku couldn't help but notice how many people she could pickpocket. Not that she would do so of course, but the idea was sure appealing. At least in her eyes. Hey, you had to get some gain when you were rudely pulled from your own home and plopped into such a juicy situation. Really though, it would be nice if someone decided to grace her with actually telling her what the heck was going on around here. Who was the blonde? And the rest of these people? Who were they? None of them looked familiar.
Okay that wasn't true. The dark haired man looked familiar. Rikku had noticed him looking at her and had instantly been struck with the feeling that she really should know him. When he had introduced himself it had all come together. She'd been portaled to his world, and had stayed with Tifa, the woman he seemed to be close to. Rikku couldn't remember much else about her time there, but she now stuck to Zack since she at least knew him. She didn't know anyone else here. But she really did wish they knew why they were here. She had put the question to Zack, but he hadn't known either. Well that made two of them. She was getting impatient. Yes, very impatient, and had been just about to loudly voice her opinions when the woman finally decided to speak.
A goddess, hmm? Well she looked the party anyway. Everyone knew that being blonde instantly made you a goddess. That was her story and she was sticking to it. Propping her hands up on her hips, Rikku decided she wasn't very happy about this still. She had already helped save one world...twice. Why did she have to help again? Okay, okay, so there was a bit of a problem with keeping the harmony between good and bad. Big deal, there was always a bit of a problem keeping the light and dark separated. This couldn't be any different, could it? She was annoyed that this woman would pull them away from home and demand they wage a war that had nothing to did with them. She didn't care who this woman was, goddess or not, that was just annoying.
Sighing, Rikku glanced over at the people that seemed to want to pledge their lives away. They were being a tad bit ridiculous. Who would just sign their lives away for someone they didn't even know? But one by one they did just that, until she saw Zack walk up as well. Even him? Not wanting to be left behind, Rikku bounded after him, her beads and braids whipping every which way. Matching his cocky stance, with her hands propped up on her hips, feet wide, Rikku decided that she wasn't going to be one upped. "Alright let's do it!", she called out cheerfully, pumping a fist in the air before starting off. Time to start this shindig! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 718 Muse:; Great! Tagged:; Peoples! Rydia was a master at magic, but whatever sorcery had brought her here was quite astounding, nor did she understand it. Her eyes were moving constantly, looking at the ground that looked as if she were walking on water, it was amazing, like an illusion or something. Her eyes were directed from the floor to the other warriors around her though, they each seemed to have their own specialness about them. It was nice to see. A young looking blonde girl with wild hair, to a knightly woman who seemed to be more from Rydia’s time than say…the pink haired girl. She was sizing each person up, but not staring at them too long for it to be awkward. She’d exchanged glances with a violet haired girl who stood relatively close. Giving a cheerful nod of greeting towards her, Rydia’s attention had then been grabbed by the knight standing ahead of them next to the pretty woman with elegance written all over her features, whether it was her hair or her dress, she was definitely in tip top shape in terms of elegance.
Listening to the Goddess known as Cosmos, Rydia let the wheels in her head turn. This woman had summoned them here to fight, to fight for the light that kept peace among the worlds. It was definitely something worth fighting. She thought back to when Cecil had fought his dark side to find that light…it was inspiring, and she could use that situation among her friends to push herself forward in this battle. No matter what danger they faced, Rydia was sure to fight no matter what. Straightening her dress and sleeves up a bit, she stood properly, her green eyes watching each person as they stepped forward and pledged their allegiance to Cosmos and the side of the light. Some didn’t even have to speak, which simply was another inspiring thing. They could simply nod and pledge their loyalty, sometimes actions spoke louder than words didn’t they?
Looking around at the warriors as they spoke, Rydia watched and listened to each of their words. They all sounded so…so honorable. What could be a better group to fight against this Chaos crap that seemed to threaten everything and everyone? Rydia was definitely putting herself into the battle no matter what it called for, she’d spent enough time fighting for the light to stop now. Even though she didn’t have her friends by her side, she figured that new friends could be made amongst these nice people, or seemingly nice. Like the violet haired girl! She seemed nice, or there were a few other friendly looking people out there, some that reminded her so much of the people she knew. The violet haired girl, Maria or something, reminded her of Rosa. Some blonde man, very handsome, just a little bit away – whom she’d noticed glancing her way for a brief moment – in a weird way reminded her of Edge. It was a funny feeling really, comparing these people she didn’t even know to those she considered to be like family.
Fast friends, that’s what Edge had said once before, wasn’t it? Well, the summoner was going to apply that here. They all were fighting for the same cause, they could easily become friends and come together as one to battle this thing and succeed. With a smile appearing on her lips, she turned her gaze from the warriors to the Goddess and her knight standing just ahead. Placing a hand over her heart, she remained grounded where she stood upon the watery floor that covered this sanctuary. With a simple sweet nod, she’d declared her loyalty like a few of the other warriors had done without the need of words, she was ready to fight and use her summons to help her defeat discord. The road wasn’t going to be easy, it was probably going to be tiring and very tough, almost to the point of giving up, but in the end…the good guys would win. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 755 Muse: Great!
