A light, a bright, shining light. He hadn’t felt at home, when he was home. Now he wasn’t home again, and this time rather lonely. Still, he carried on.
He knew it reminded him of something. A sort of déjà vu, if you will. Maybe, if he’d realized sooner, the boy would understand the location as well as the situation much more.
“I feel like I’ve been here before.” Luso mumbled, trying to delve into his memories and pull out the particular one that gave him this feeling.
Then he knew exactly what it was.
Ivalice.
“Ohhh! Shoot, I’ve got to look for Cid and Adelle and Hurdy and everyone! I wonder how they’re doing?” Little did he know, they were long gone. This Ivalice, completely different from the Ivalice he knew, stared him straight in the face. He’d missed them so much, though. He wouldn’t give up, not without trying.
Just like back then, he’d gotten here due to unknown circumstances. Lucky, it was, that he’d ended up in Ivalice. Then again… this didn’t feel like the same Ivalice. It had a different feel about it. Castles, large areas of forest. It had more of a medieval feel to it than his previous journey, something that was a wee bit odd to him. It didn’t seem to even have the same technology as his old Ivalice… He also noted, that it was completely filled with humans. Whatever happened to Bangaa? Viera? Seeq? Gria? Nu Mou? What about moogles? And whatever Cid was?
Something didn’t feel right at all.
Perhaps the world had changed rapidly while he was gone.
Still, he had to search for his friends. No way in heck he’d give up that search, he’d look to the ends of the earth… err, Ivalice, for them.
To the others around, he seemed lost, but the boy was just lost deep in thought. He brushed up on his skills a bit while trying to find his friends, but alas the latter was not achieved. Taking quests and such other things, he’d eventually get into a battle he wouldn’t be able to win. He knew that, and it made him fight harder… Eventually gaining the status of “Game Hunter”.
A time, one on a rather rocky area, he did manage to make friends, and although it didn’t immediately bring his old friends to him, it gave him a great opportunity. He stepped out into direct light, and monsters attacked him right away. The monsters which had attacked him were of a rather difficult to fight species. He remembered them too, although they looked slightly different then when he’d last saw them: in the battle with Illua.
Luso took a deep breath, closing his eyes and readying the blade he used. He had a feeling, that they’d be too strong for him on his own. He didn’t care, if it got him any closer to finding his friends, he’d do it. Yes, he thought to himself, It’ll only be over when I find them. With the behemoths closing in on him, backing him toward the wall of rocks, he stared. Perhaps someone would come and help him, but it seemed entirely unlikely. Luso quickly pointed his sword at them.
“If it’s dinner you’re after, I’ll feed you a length of iron!”
