Appearance: A truly gorgeous young lady whose latent gothic appearance serves only to enhance her exotic beauty. Her deceptively compact figure is shapely, toned, and lithe as a blade from years of martial arts and training; slender but very powerful but not so much that it takes away from her femininity. She often wears lighter shades that contrast sharply with her smooth, dark, slightly golden tinted skin. Despite working in a rough environment she takes care of her body and, outside of the plethora of scars on her left shoulder (a constant reminder of her accident) and a few other scars on her back (from defending herself against various drunk hooligans), her body is relatively smooth and unmarked. She wears whatevers comfortable and clean, which is usually low riding jeans and a tight t-shirt that won't get caught on the various mechanical problems she works on. Her yellow eyes faintly glow due to the mako injections her father used in the process of attaching her mechanical arm, though her left one glows more brightly the more emotional she gets.
Personality: Sam carries with her a huge chip on her shoulder - she is hot-tempered and easily riled, though this happens mostly when she's drunk or tipsy. She thoroughly enjoys a good fight, and is very confident and prideful of her ability, roughcut as it may be. However, she also has an oddly charming, charismatic atmosphere - in a swashbuckling sort of way. Despite her sometimes rough ways and odd speech, inside, Sam is a genius - although her ingenuity runs more along the ways of Wile E. Coyote than Albert Einstein. She is a tough-as-nails fighter in not only her punishing style of her chosen martial art, but in all manners of the word.
However, she also has a soft spot for women, especially if they're crying. Sam tends to panic in an almost comical way to get the person to calm down, especially if she was the one to cause the problem in the first place. She honestly doesn't know why, but she attributes that to her father's upbringing and teachings of being a good person (despite her obvious attitude problems, which her father laughed off).
Yet another quirk in her personality is that Sam seems COMPLETELY unaware of her own sexuality. Her father always told her she was beautiful but she just never actually knew what that meant in a non-fatherly context, nor did she ever think about it. This, as any can imagine, causes problems as she ventures out into the world. She wears the clothes she normally wears and thinks nothing of the leers she gets because it doesn't occur to her that she may be wearing skimpy or tight clothing. She just wears what makes her comfortable. Anyone attempting to hit on her gets rebuffed or outright ignored as she doesn't know how to deal with these things. This doesn't mean, however, that she doesn't have dirty thoughts of her own. In fact, Sam is actually insanely perverted but keeps it mostly in check.

Magic: Limited and custom use of her Enemy Skill Materia. Due to it's use of powering her robotic arm, Sam can't directly use the Enemy Skill Materia as one would normally. So while the skills are there, the only thing she can do is cast somewhat different versions of the Enemy Skills. The more she uses the Enemy Skill in her arm, the better she gets at using each ability. However, they all start at level one (LV1), and gain levels every so often, seemingly at random.
Abilities: -Missile Barrage LV1: Just about as simple as it gets; Sam unleashes the power of her robotic arm (or more precisely the Enemy Skill Materia inside of it) and fires five missiles at the target. At this level the missiles rarely hit the target full on and are used to more or less cause chaos should her target get in too close to her. No one likes missiles coming at them, much less several, so in short (at level one), it's an escape option. She can also use this as a handy cover so she can shoot her opponent and escape while dust and debris are in the air. At further range the missiles will probably not hit. At closer range the accuracy increases, but Sam herself could suffer damage as well.
-Angel Shield LV1: Your basic forcefield that protects Sam against various attacks. At this point it's not very strong and doesn't last long either. It can take a couple of strong hits but is mostly used for running away while not having to worry about getting shot (or attacked in any way) in the back. She also uses this in combat when she's in close as while physical and magic attacks bounce off the shield.
-Sorry 'bout Your Damn Luck LV1: Using the power of the Enemy Skill materia that powers her robotic arm, Sammy hits the enemy with one randomly chosen of the following status effects: [Poison, Blind, Slow, Doom, Confuse, Bind, Silence, Sleep, Stop or Mini]
-Intuitive Aptitude: A passive ability that even Sam herself isn't aware of. It's an ability that allows Sam to know how something works (limited to mechanical/technological objects) without actually knowing anything about said object or technology. This allows her to fix things she normally couldn't. It's an odd thing, seeing Sam almost guided through the motions of fixing something, then stepping back and nodding in a self satisfied manner...yet not being able to actually say how she was able to do it. It just happens, and while she's often a tad weirded out by it, Sam has accepted it as part of herself and blows off questions and demands for explanations with a wave of her hand or a flick of her hair.

Weapon: Pulse Cannon: Not really a cannon, but Sam likes to call it that because it sounds cool (so she thinks). It's actually a Handgun that has the ability to turn into a Sniper Rifle[/color][/url]. The gun that Jin Wolfe made for his only daughter was one of his crowning achievements. For one, it never runs out of bullets as it's powered (much like Sam's arm) by Materia, though as to the color Sam doesn't know and never thought to ask (she's absent minded like that). The 'bullets' the gun shoots don't do any more damage then normal bullets, however, and do not seem to do elemental damage. The gun itself is actually compact and, with a few button presses, can turn into a sniper rifle (basically an elongated version of her handgun) that Sam can utilize to shoot her enemies at long distances (the maximum range being 2,600 yards). The same bullets are used, though the ones shot by the sniper do more damage (as expected of a sniper rifle) and are longer then the ones the normal handgun uses.
"Lefty": Lefty is, as you can imagine, Sam's left arm. Due to a tragic accident her left arm was replaced with a robotic one. The one thing that sets this apart from other robotic limbs is that it actually has it's own power source; a Yellow Materia (the type she owns is also known as the Enemy Skill Materia). Specifically designed this way by her father, the Yellow Materia is what allows her to use her various abilities that resemble the skills inside of the Enemy Skill Materia. While it does need maintenance, the needs of her arm are few and far between. In fact, unless she's using it for something else, such as her Missile Barrage or ejecting the collapsible sword that's hidden inside her arm, you can't really tell it's mechanical at all as it covered with a substance that imitates the look and feel of regular skin. When it takes damage, though, is when it's mechanical appearance shows.
History: Sam was raised in the outskirts of Wutai by her father, Jin. She was raised in a rather solitary environment, knowing that there were other people in the world and the nearby village of Wutai but didn't actually care about them for anything more then a means to an end. Her father would chide her on her feelings but Sam couldn't being herself to care anything more about them and that was that as far as she was concerned. After all, it was her father who went into the village for supplies so she never really came in contact with any of them, which suited her just fine.
Her training with guns began when she was old enough to use them and understand (as well as respect) the power the wielded. Her father put her through various exercises and tests to find out she was a natural Marksman, someone with the potential to pass even him should she learn to better control herself and her emotions. Because of this realization he used all the knowledge he accumulated over his many years to make her the best gun he'd ever made; The Pulse Cannon. He had a different name for it, but after his daughter got a hold of it she dubbed it herself. And, as per usual, there's no telling Sam any different.
As she got older, Jin taught her more and more about mechanics in general. He taught her how to fix the car he had and the guns he had made and remodeled. It wasn't long, when she was about 13, that she started fixing things by herself with no supervision at all. And even as her intellect grew she could still never figure out how the gun her father made her worked, though she never took it apart to try; she simply didn't have the heart...at least, not at that time.
At the age of 17 her life changed forever; she was working on a car that her father brought in from the village when the device she had it propped on collapsed. However, Sam heard the device was about to give way and moved out from under the car as fast as she could but it wasn't fast enough; the car landed in her left arm, crushing it. Her father rushed into their work area moments later, using a jack to lift the car up so he could get his daughter free. He stopped the bleeding and stabilized her, but it simply wasn't enough; her arm had to be amputated.
Sam took it in stride, being strong for herself and her father. Jin wasn't one to give up, however, and got the idea to take her to Esthar to see an 'old friend' to help her get a replacement for her lost arm. Sam agreed though truly believed that it couldn't be done. She'd seen the wonderful things her father could do with technology after all, but didn't think even he was good enough to replace her lost arm. That was, until they reached Esthar.
In truth, Sam doesn't really remember much about her time in Esthar, at least not in the beginning. When she woke she had a new arm...which looked almost exactly like her old one. And it was at this point that her new life began...one without her father.

Sam looked up to the grizzled man that had walked into the room. He was tall, skin weathered and tan with a great flowing gray-white beard that went to his belt buckle. He had goggles on that he promptly took off and threw carelessly onto the workbench to his right before walking up to Sam. He grabbed her left arm, her new arm, and raised it up to eye level, running his hands up and down it while nodding his head.
"You okay?" he repeated, seeing Sam's dumbfounded look he cracked a small grin. Sam smiled too, though for different reasons. "You look dazed girl. Your arm okay?"
"Feels...great." she whispered, flexing it and playing with her fingers. It all felt so surreal she was having trouble grasping that her arm was back. "But...how...?"
"Anything's possible," he grunted, taking a few steps back and collapsing into a rather comfortable looking chair. "When you got the technology. And here in Esthar we ain't got no shortage of that. Your father...he's a determined man. Wanted to do right by you. And do right by you he did. We worked on designs like this before you was even a twinkle in his eye. Dunno how he got it right though, but he did."
"Where is be? Mah dad?" Sam looked around the room for the first time, blinking. It looked much like her father's hop did back in Wutai, only a tad dirtier. She didn't care, really; she was used to such environments and even felt more comfortable in them. "He wasn't here when ah woke up."
"I don't imagine he would be." the old man said. "Name's Onion, by the way. I was the man that helped your father make that arm."
"Ya did?" Sam held up her hand again, still amazed on how real it felt. "Well...tank ya. Ah mean, ya must beh pretty damn good ta keep up with mah pops like dat."
The man known as Onion chuckled a bit before he began to cough. He reached into his front jacket pocket and pulled out a pack of smokes and took one out and lighting it up. "Oh, your old man is as sharp as he ever was. I remember the day he left with you, you know. Not many people were happy he was going. But he wanted to do right by you, no matter what. Last thing he promised your mother."
"Mother?"
Sam stopped looking at her arm and back at Onion with a perplexed look on her face. In all her years she never thought to ask her father about her mother, not even once. Sure, sometimes she dreamed about a beautiful woman that she'd never met, but she never brought it up to her father for fear of sounding silly. And now here was a random person she'd never met who her father had never told her about and HE was bringing up her mother.
"Yeah, your mother." Onion grunted as he puffed out a bit of smoke. "What, you thought you just popped into creation girl?"
"No!" Sam huffed, crossing her arms in annoyance. "Ah jes...neva really knew mah mom. Or, ya know...asked 'bout her."
"Probably better you didn't." Onion nodded solemnly. "Your old man...he loved her to bits he did. Never really got over her, I can tell even now after not seeing him for damn near seventeen years. You look more like him though, inherited his dark skin. And his eyes...yeah, you got everything from your old man. But from what he tells me you got your mom's temper!"
He laughed long and hard at that one, though Sam couldn't really tell what was so funny about it. She resorted to huffing and crossing her arms again for lack of anything better to do; she felt that even if she gave this man her infamous 'Death Glare' that made her father shiver he wouldn't really be effected by it. When Onion calmed down he took a dirty handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed his eyes, breathing out long before lighting up another cigarette.
"Anyways..."
"Where's mah pops?" Sam interrupted. She knew it was rude but she just wanted to leave and go back home. She didn't really feel like sitting around being made fun of by someone she'd never met before.
So into her thoughts was Sam that it took her a moment to realize that Onion wasn't talking. The silenced stretched into a full minute before Sam looked back at the man, defiance flashing in her eyes as if to dare the other man to laugh at her again. Still, Onion stared at her with hard gray eyes as if measuring the depth of her character before shaking his head sadly.
"Your dad ain't comin' back for you, girl."
Sam narrowed her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows. "Whatcha mean he's not comin' back? He's GOT ta come back, we hafta go home!!"
"He ain't gotta do shit, girl." Onion responded, his tone threatening. He got up and crossed his own massive arms. "Your old man gave up a lot for you, more then you'll ever know. And now he's left you with me, here in Esthar, to raise you up. He ain't comin' back for you girl. And you ain't got no choice but to stay here with me, not if you wanna do right by him."
"Yer lying!!" Sam yelled before heading for the exit. As she passed by the large man he grabbed her arm and swung her around to face him.
"Listen here and listen good; this is the only time you're gonna walk out that door to look for him, you hear?" he breathed out, his voice deadly calm. "You're angry, I understand. But Esthar is a big city, and where he's going you can't follow. So you take care of where you are and come back when you're hungry. You'll always have a home at Onion's place, but if you're gonna go out and look for your old man...you can't come back here."
He let her go then, Sam giving him one last angry look before she tore out of the place in search of her father. He sighed as he sat back down in his chair and kicked his feet up; yeah, she was stubborn with a flaring temper like her mother. He chuckle a bit before shaking his head sadly. Jin had given everything for his daughter, even leaving his hometown of Esthar, a place he loved because of a child that was never suppose to happen.
And of course the girl came back, looking as defeated as he'd probably ever see her or ever would. She had lasted longer out there then he gave her credit for; those Wolfe's were adaptable folk. She even had the decency to apologize for her rash actions, something Onion had never seen since that day. She never talked about her father after that, not even when the things that he had left her, her gun and arm, needed repair. She simply did what had to be done, asked for help when she needed it, and moved on.
Almost a year later she was still in Esthar doing the nearly the exact same thing she was doing in Wutai; repairs and maintenance. Her knowledge of her craft had expanded to something that impressed even Onion, with her ideas for creating new weapons and armor impressing the old veteran. Her mind was as sharp as a gunblade and for a time Onion allowed himself the proud feeling that filled him when he saw her work on the various mechanical products folks brought in for repair. And always he remembered the last words Jin said to him before he left, willingly, with the people that he ran away from in the first place.
"She's special, Onion." the sad look never left his place. "She'll go farther then us, you know. Me, you, the rest. She'll help the world. Protect her."
"I'll do what I can, old friend." Onion would whisper to himself. "I'll do everything I can."
