Whew...what an event.
Normally on the quieter side, Seven found the loud music and building filled so full of people slightly overwhelming. Instead of allowing it to show, she simply went on with her usual air of confidence...and escaped to the punch bowl. Clearing her throat, Seven dipped the ladle into the huge bowl and filled her cup, before backing up and allowing others to walk forward. "Hey Seven!", one cheerful voice spoke beside her. Turning her head, Seven recognized an underclassman she had helped a few times with their combat skills. "Oh, hello Jamie. Enjoying yourself?" "Oh yes! I'm having a blast! Greg's my date you know-...ooooooh, I noticed you came with Nine! Are you dating~?" Seven colored a little bit, glancing to the side and then looking at her glass. "Uh..." "OH YOU AAARE! That's so cute! Wait until I tell Kayla! She'll be so jealous! She wanted Nine herself you know~!"
"Kayla wants any man she can-" "Oh there's Greg! I'll talk to you later!" Seven was left there by herself a moment later, before she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning her head, she saw Queen there beside her. Seven relaxed a little, even sending Queen a smile, which was returned. "You okay?" Seven knew what Queen was talking about, and once again felt the red creeping up the back of her neck. Had everyone seen Nine punching Quon? Not that the long haired man hadn't deserved it, but people usually blamed the one with the hot temper, and everyone knew who that was between Quon and Nine. Personally, Seven thought he needed a few marks on his perfect, feminine looking face. "I'm great, though it seems everyone saw that..." Queen actually laughed when she patted Seven's arm. "They probably did...but I think most of them sided with Nine anyway. Personally, I think Quon might have deserved what he got.", she said thoughtfully. Seven had to smile. Even with all the comments Queen made about Nine being dumb, she still stuck up for him when the situation called for it. It showed that they were all a family of sorts. Though Seven wasn't sure what she even thought of Nine right now anyway. He could be...or was, rather, an ass most of the time. They'd managed to slightly patch things up after they'd had that major fight that Trey and Deuce had been eavesdropping on though...to the point that Nine had managed to ask her here.
Speaking of which, where even was Nine?
"Well I suppose I should go find King again, he didn't look too happy.” Seven nodded appreciatively. “Say hi and thanks to King for me.” “I’ll do that," she commented, before embracing the silver haired girl and walking off.
And so Seven was once again left to her thoughts. Perhaps she should go find Nine. Shrugging lightly, Seven drained her cup and placed it in the waste bin, her violet eyes scanning the crowd to look for her date of the night. He wasn't any worse for the wear with the little incident with Quon...or at least, he hadn't looked it, but one never knew, especially since she had only saw him for a little while after, though she had thought she had managed to comfort him about it. He had bounced right back after he had simmered down and said that Quon had totally deserved it. Well hopefully anyway, so she turned to walk away from the punch and look for him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 768 Muse:; Great! Location:; Dance! Trey thought he had never quite seen so many people from the school gathered into one area for a single event. Having spent most of the night in conversation with Sice – having not noticed the conversation was mostly one-sided, though Sice had been more accommodating than usual (something that encouraged him) – and in speaking with some of the other students to fill in the other gaps of time, Trey now, for the first time the whole evening, allowed himself to step back and survey the density of the room’s crowd to see what it was that everyone was doing. In spite of the constant motion of everyone keeping him from seeing any faces in detail, Trey thought that he could still see a smile plastered on everyone’s faces. Well…everyone save for Quon and a small portion of his class who were gathered in one particular area, looking as sour as the green apples that had been provided for them at the dance’s refreshments table. Obviously, Trey had been one of the first to hear about the incident involving Quon and Nine and had even distracted himself for a few minutes with trying to smooth over any wounds created by it. For once, Trey hadn’t actually tried too hard to be the mediating voice, simply telling some of the mages not to be overly concerned with anything Nine did. Trey had wanted to return to Sice as quickly as possible while she seemed in a good mood. Nine apparently had moved on from the incident himself, so Trey saw no reason why he should seek his classmate out. Well, he could now, certainly, but from where Trey was standing he could not see the dragoon anywhere visible or reachable.
Trey did want to catch someone else who would be in the room, though. One who might have actually been somewhere with Nine herself, if Trey’s…completely unplanned eavesdropping attempt on her and Nine had told him anything at all. It was not for Nine’s sake that Trey wanted to catch up with his other silver-haired classmate, though. Seven had been the one to convince Sice to come to the dance to begin with, so he thought he should at least…pass a few words with her to figure out exactly how she had managed it. Trey would need to take notes on the subject and make sure he never lost them. Er, he wouldn’t be quite so extreme about it…but he would probably keep said notes in his pocket at all times. Yes, that would do.
Trey, though, hadn’t really spotted Seven for the majority of the evening. He’d caught sight of her a few times through sets of dancing bodies, but otherwise, nothing. A few steps carried him back a little further into the swarms of attendees, with him inching his way through them as he arrived with an occasional "Excuse me” to pardon his light bumps against a shoulder, elbow, or other hard-to-avoid body part. He also ended up nearly stepped on several times by very dangerous footwear by some of the students so enthralled by their dance partners that they had either disappeared into their own little worlds or driven into a frenzy, but that had been a threat the entire night and the archer thought he might have become a very good evasion artist in the past couple of hours. A few dodges and skips later, Trey reached the refreshments table, and paused there as if his gravity would pull Seven in from some certain direction. It was only once he turned to look back at the crowd, though, that the back of her head was spotted as disappearing back into the crowd. Trey made a weave around a dancing couple angling for the tables. ”Seven!”, he called, again braving the crowd as he began a short pursuit and hoping that she didn’t become a part of that crowd without having heard him.

Okay, so onto finding Nine. Where exactly was she going to do that? Seven hadn’t seen him in a few minutes, so he could be anywhere by now. Hopefully no more punching unfortunate students, because King probably didn’t want to get involved in another fight just a few minutes later, especially not when he had brought his date, which happened to be Queen, and probably wanted to spend some happy time with her, enjoying their night, instead of chasing Nine down and making him say he was sorry to every Tom, Dick, and Harry. So…that meant that it was up to her. Seven found that she enjoyed Nine’s company…at least some of the time, and her heart did weird things around him, but a lot of the time he could be quite the pain in the backside…didn’t she know it. Oh well, that’s the way things went. Besides, they had grown up together, she had to be willing to pull him out of some bad situations.
While she was walking through the crowd she heard her name called. At first she thought it might be another one of the underclassmen to ask her help. Turning her head, she looked over her shoulder and tried to skim the crowd to see who it might be. It didn’t take too long to spot Trey’s blonde head walking through the crowd toward her. Instantly she smiled, before she bolstered up her conversation desires. Seven was quiet, yes, but she didn’t have a hard time talking to people. No, that wasn’t the issue when it came to Trey. The issue was actually trying to fit any conversation in, since he had the tendency to simply talk and talk and not ever really get to the point, or let anyone else have a turn. But yet again, she had grown up with him, and so Seven found that she would have to enjoy being around Trey, even if she didn’t feel quite the same way every time she was.
“Excuse me.”, she asked evenly, while she wound her way through the different students that were all cram packed into this room. Seven honestly wondered how many more people could fit inside the building before it burst at the seams…but she didn’t really want to find out either. Thankfully people were willing to at least try to move, and she managed to work her way through people until she had reached the blonde that had called for her. Seven wasn’t quite used to heels of the caliber that she was wearing, but she’d had the entire night to get used to them, and now found it somewhat easy to walk in the buggers she had been mentally cursing at first. Still, she hadn’t said one word in complaint, since she had forced – literally – Sice to wear a pretty dress and heels as well. And so, if the other silver haired girl had figured out that Seven didn’t even find them comfy, she would have never accomplished her actually wearing them. At the moment, she was happy to have them, since it gave her added height to be able to actually keep track of Trey and his own progress toward her.
Finally she reached the taller man. “Hello Trey.”, she greeted him, giving him a huge in greeting, before pulling back and glancing at his attire to admire it. The boys really had done a good job at really trying to look great tonight, and she could really tell that they all had a sense of style. “Enjoying the dance?”, she asked politely, before she snuck a glance behind his shoulder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words:; 761 Muse:; Great!
