Phew. All of this was happening so fast, it was difficult for Rydia to keep up, but she was doing what she could to stay on top of things. She’d gotten pulled from the end of a battle to…face new battles. Sighing to herself, the green-haired summoner placed her hands on her hips as she looked around the field she was standing in. There was no one around, except the few incomplete resemblances of people she might have known…the manikins as they were called. Shaking her head towards them, the summoner simply dismissed their existence, unless they got to close for comfort, otherwise she was pretty much stuck to wander around, which seemed like what everyone else had done. She’d seen people earlier pair up, group up, or fly solo through one of those gates that had some pink looking glyph in the center of them. It seemed as if they were all gone now, no gates to go through around here…traveling by foot in this area it was then.
Looking ahead, Rydia could see sand, but beyond a natural and very warm environment she could see…snow, snow all over and it didn’t look like anyone had even trailed that way because of it. I guess she was going to be the brave soul to check it out and perhaps find one of those glowing gate things. Starting off, keeping her eyes aware of her surroundings, Rydia started towards that sand just on the other side of the field, from there she’d head to the colder climate and figure out what to do from there. Hopefully there was something there that would make her travel worthwhile. It was going to take some time but…time wasn’t exactly an issue right now. “We fight for Cosmos…an endless cycle…how is any of this going to work?” she asked herself aloud. If it was an endless cycle, then why fight? It would never end, it would be one battle after another and Rydia wasn’t sure she was cut out for an eternity of war. Besides, she had a life outside of this…how was this fair? The things you do for peace and harmony, huh? How long would it take for someone to notice her absence? Would Edge worry? Would a search be called? Or did time even pass during all of this? Rydia had questions, and the next time she got to see Cosmos or that shiny pretty-boy knight of hers…she was going to let those questions fly.
It was then something out of the ordinary had actually caught the girl’s attention. Watching an incomplete figure charge towards her, a light blue hue to it, and it was definitely feminine, Rydia gasped a bit and ducked down, avoiding a foot that would’ve caught her face and sent her flying. Stepping back and retrieving her whip from her waist where she held it, she looked towards the form. A girl with long legs, a skirt and long hair. A fist fighter of course. Pulling her arm back and sending her whip flying, Rydia watched as it latched around the monk’s wrist, and then she tugged, dragging the manikin into the ground and literally making her eat dirt. A satisfied look came across the summoner’s face as she pulled her whip back, swinging her arm forward and shocking the manikin with a large thunder cast of magic. If that didn’t keep the form down, then…well, she was just going to have to try a little harder.
Watching the manikin get to its feet slowly, tilting it’s head to the side and cracking its neck, Rydia took a step back. These things were durable, but not as strong as the real deal, right? It was times like this Rydia wished she’d partnered up with someone like the others had done. Waving her hand again, she threw a fire magic towards the manikin, feeling her energy slowly drain…but it was at least keeping herself from being attacked, especially so out in the open…it was just…silly.
