This was definitely nothing new to Nine. In fact, this had become quite frequent ever since Kurasame took over for Mother as the instructor for Class Zero. Oh well, Nine didn’t give a damn about sitting here, in fact, it sure beat the hell out of cleaning the training room from top to bottom with Cater. Ha, like they did anything. Ordered pizza…chilled…that was some detention, but this time…Nine was stuck in the classroom, with that damn Tonberry just sitting on Kurasame’s desk watching him with that evil glare of his, a lantern in his hand as well as a knife in the other. If that wasn’t scary…Nine wasn’t sure what else was. Nine was pretty sure Kura got that damn thing as a pet to scare the students, to keep them in their place…who would want a green little tonberry coming up and shanking the life out of you? Certainly not this dragoon…he still couldn’t understand why some of the girls in his class thought it was…cute.
No way.
Anyways, aside from the creepy tonberry staring him down from across the room, Nine wasn’t the only one stuck in here. In fact, he was pretty sure at least one out of the other two students would be more than happy to kill him right now. Looking to his left, he watched the burning stare of one King glare him down. Beyond King was Sice, that wasn’t much of a shocker either. But King? He’d gotten in the middle of a brief shouting match during class…and inevitably had been put in detention for being ‘apart of the disruption’ when really…he was just trying to quiet the two down. With King’s gaze turning away from him, Nine leaned forward and stared past his roommate towards the girl sitting on the other side of him. There she was…Sice, scythe wielder and completely…ugh. She was just one hot mess, how she didn’t go every day without killing someone…Nine wasn’t sure, he was probably on that well forming hit list though. Shaking his head towards her and just continuing to stare at her until she looked back at him…he was going to make a face at her whether she liked it or not.
All Nine had to do was wait. But as he waited, he felt a frown tug at his lips, he sat up again, not enjoying the silence or the stares that came from the tonberry and King, it was like he’d done something wrong to offend them! What happened…well, during class, Nine was bored like usual, you know…Kurasame and his stupid teaching, at least Mother made it fun, well, Nine thought it would be fun to get Seven’s attention and make faces at her, but when he’d gotten a wad of paper ready for the pitch, someone had wandered behind him and bumped his chair – not that he’d been sitting properly anyways – he’d slid forward off the back of his seat and nearly over the table as the paper wad went completely off target…and hit Sice. Because it was mature to hit people with paper, she was definitely not the girl he wanted to make sexy faces at. So, of course a useless bickering match had erupted, and King, being the goody two shoes that he was, tried to shut them up, and obviously that worked well since all three students landed in detention. How fantastic, right?
Tearing a small piece of paper from his bag that sat on the floor, Nine wadded it up into a tiny paper ball and tossed it into his mouth, leaning down to grab a straw from his bag, he leaned forward, got ready, saw the incoming lecture from King, and shot the spitball towards Sice’s face. If that didn’t get her attention…nothing would. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 731 Muse: Great! Sice leaned back in her chair, her feet up on the desk in front of her and her arms crossed over her chest. She was sitting in detention, with two other morons as Kurasame’s little tonberry watched them from the teacher’s desk at the front of the classroom. So long as it didn’t attack her with the knife it usually carried, she was more than happy to have it sit there and watch them. Better that thing than a professor she had a crush for. She stared up at the ceiling, the usual scowl on her face as she tried to come up with simple methods to make the time past, though it was quite difficult seeing as how she couldn’t move from this chair without possible getting the time there to become any longer.
The only reason she was in here was because of that stupid dragoon, Nine. If he hadn’t thrown that paper at her then maybe she wouldn’t be sitting in here right now. But, no. He had ticked her off, and Nine deserved a good beating every once in a while. So, she got up and yelled at him, ready to throw a punch to his face. Naturally, they got into a yelling match, trying to out do the other in ways in insults and volume. King had tried to intervene but that only got him the chance to experience detention with the two of them. And here she was. Pissed off and just wanted this whole thing to be over with so that she could head over to the training room and hit something without being reprimanded for it.
She could feel Nine glaring at her, but didn’t give him the satisfaction of looking back at him. If she did that, then that meant that she let him win at something, and by the goddess she was not about to let him have that small satisfaction after what happened in class. So, she would look up at the ceiling for however long it took for all of this to be done if it meant ticking off Nine to no end. Instead, she just allowed her mind to go through the motions of training, imagining her scythe gliding through the air, and bringing down Milites soldiers as it moved. She smirked, wondering if they would be able to do a mock battle soon in class. That would be nice. It had been a while since the Commander had allowed that.
And then she felt something wet and sticky hit her face. She became very still for a moment, before moving her legs back and bringing the chair down to the floor. Hard. And not just hard. Hard hard, to the point where the sound rang out throughout the whole classroom. She uncrossed her arms and brought a hand up to peel the substance from her face and looked down at the spitball between her fingers. And then she slowly turned her head towards Nine, knowing that the only other person in the room wouldn’t even dream of doing such a thing. Her eyes narrowed into a death glare and she stood up, stomping over quickly to Nine, as she grabbed the front of his shirt. “You wan’ a death wish, Nine? Because ya sure as hell are askin’ for one.”

This was simply living proof at how stupid Nine could be sometimes. Sure he had been trying to get Seven's attention, but now that he had gotten Sice's...which landed him in detention...he was really pushing what little luck he had left. It was probably a food idea King had stuck himself to sit between the dragoon and the scythe wielder, otherwise someone would be dead already. Of course, if Nine kept up what he was doing now...he would surely be dead within the next ten minutes or so. Meh, this was detention! There was no instructor to tell them to sit down and shut up - only the tonberry - so why not make things a little bit more interesting? It sure beat he hell out of staring at the ceiling for all of detention. How long were they supposed to be in here anyways? No specific time had been given, Nine simply assumed they'd be released when Kurasame felt it was time, but if that time didn't come soon...he was going to simply leave and not think anything of it. You know, because that wouldn't land him in more trouble. No not at all.
Nine had gotten the genius idea of shooting a spit ball towards Sice, and by the looms of it...he was quite the marksman. With a sinister smirk on his face as he had avoided King's objection, he evaluated Sice's reaction. It was all to beautiful. She was angry...normal day, but at least he'd gotten her attention. She hadn't looked at him when he had been staring at her...this was payback! She was up from her seat and quickly had Nine by the front of his shirt, pulling him from his seat as he simply grinned at her, listening to her words. Whatever idiot lived in his brain was certainly working amazingly today. "Don't tease me with a good time, Sice." he said with a wink and a waggle of his eyebrows before chuckling. That would be sure to ruffle her feathers some more.
It was then King stood from his seat. Why would he want to defend Nine after he had acted so immaturely? Both in class and in detention of all places? Couldn't he simply shut up, and do the time quietly? No. He had to get THEM in more trouble. With a forming scowl on his lips, he placed a hand on Nine's shoulder and his other hand on Sice's shoulder. "Can we go an evening without you two bickering? None of us want to be here. O think it would be better to sit down, shut up and do the time without difficulties. Think you two can pull it together long enough to get out of detention? Once we're done here, go at it all you like." he said while switching gazes from Sice to None, hoping his stern and almost professional tone would knock some sense into them so to speak. He released his hands from his class mates, standing tall and folding his arms across his chest, waiting for the ultimate decision here. Who was going to be the better person here? This was one of those perfect moments where Sice wished she had the capabilities of a Time Mage. That way she could speed up time and get out of this classroom much much faster. But, she didn’t sign up for Time Magic. Nope. She stuck with using her scythe, which wasn’t bad, it just meant that she couldn’t use it to get out of here faster. If she did use it, then she was more than certain that the time allotted would increase and she would just be back to where she started; sitting in her seat and grumbling to herself constantly. Unfortunately, that didn’t help to pass the time. So, the only other solution was to put her head down and maybe try ad catch some sleep.
Or at least, that was the plan until a spit ball hit her square in the cheek.
It wasn’t that hard to figure out who was the culprit. King would never do such a thing and she was pretty damn sure that the Tonberry hadn’t moved from his spot down on the desk. So...she stood from her seat and grabbed Nine by the shirt, asking him loudly if he had a death wish. With the way he was acting, it certainly seemed like he had one. First, he had gotten her angry. Second, he had gotten her stuck in detention when she could very well be practicing, or better yet sleeping in her warm bed back at her dorm. Third, he had hit with that disgusting spit ball. If he wanted to die then so be it. She would make sure that she punched him enough that he stopped breathing. He answered with a stupid comment and a wink. She ground her teeth and pulled back her fist, ready to bash it into his face and just see how smug he was after she punched his lights out.
She would have, if King didn’t step in at the moment. He stood up from his seat and put a hand on both of their shoulders. Sice moved her eyes to look at him, but didn’t lower her fist. Nine deserved this. He needed at least one good punch in the face every day for his stupid antics, and he was getting on her nerves which was never a good sign with the temper rampant scythe-wielder. She listened intently, and narrowed her eyes ever so slightly. She understood the concept, she wanted to do that in the first place but it was the idiot that she was currently holding in her hand that kept it all from going so smoothly. He was the one who decided that he would piss her off and he was the reason as to why they were sitting in detention. But, nonetheless, she lowered her fist and released Nine’s shirt. She didn’t say anything. She just turned on her heel and stomped back to her usual seat. If nothing else went down then she would be sure to find him in the training room someday and beat his ass until he was unconscious on the floor.
