So....maybe there were some good things about sustaining injuries.
Okay, no, Trey was just kidding. Another concussion wouldn't be at the top of his to-do list, no matter what kind of other fortunes it brought him, including dinner with Sice. Yes, that Sice. The one that would more likely chop someone's head in two with her scythe than want to have dinner with much of anyone. At first, Trey's calling her and asking if she was interested in dinner was more a shot in the dark than anything, mainly because he was really losing his mind with boredom with all this inactivity. Trey wasn't the type to lounge around all day for much of anything, and aside from going to class and some other uninteresting things, lounging was about all the bowman could do. Until about......another minute and a half passed, anyway.
That said, Trey really hadn't asked her only for the reason of escaping the doldrums of allowing his butt to get branded to the couch. Maybe he just wanted to ask her and figured this was as good of a chance as any. He could have asked plenty of people- those that presented little chance of calling him an idiot instead of accepting his offer, such as Gun or Flute, or even Whip if she was in a really good mood. But as he'd sat there and pondered who to drag along, Sice was the first to come to mind. No idea why, but Trey wasn't going to fight with a gut feeling. The guts usually won that little scuffle easily. And with insult.
A glance to the clock. One minute. Trey would not even consider leaving Sice waiting until he walked in five minutes late. He could hear it now. "Yeah. You were so bored you couldn't make it on time." Not gonna happen. Trey popped up from his seat (a little too quickly, since his head turned to liquid for a moment) and immediately took towards the door, which he closed and locked behind him in case Jack was roaming the halls in a search for money to borrow. He took about ten steps, realizing that a couple of girls he passed seemed interested in laughing at his feet. He realized why. No shoes on. "Fuck." He turned and jogged back in, practically running his way into his shoes as he grabbed them from a shelf, dropped them on the floor in front of him, and sped off into the hallway again.
Making his way past handfuls of students who possibly had the same idea for their evening meal, Trey ran a hand through his mop of blond hair for whatever reason (since he thankfully wasn't as crazed about his hair as some classmates who shall remain nameless) and counted down door numbers until he reached Sice's dorm. Giving a knock on the door after a confidence-gathering huff, Trey was....kind of surprised to find that the young lady that came to the door wasn't Sice. At all. "I..don't...you're not Sice......" Cringing and moving on down the hallway after the student passed him a confused look, Trey's ever-sharp mind decided that the dorm was not, in fact, Sice's dorm. He passed two more doors before he figured out his his error, and spun around to the other side of the hallway, opposite of where he'd just mistakingly been.
And there he again rapped on the door, realizing that his 'not being late' deal had been thrown out the window a couple of minutes ago. But he hadn't said a specific time, had he? He said 'about half an hour' or something, right?
He hoped so. Words - Something near 700. I ruined it when I copy-pasted this. XD Tagged - Sice! Location - Right now, a dorm hallway Outfit - The usual uniform Notes - Finally!

She tried to remember why she had agreed to this again. When she had listened to the voicemail, she had shook her head and rolled her eyes at Trey's stupidity. He had honestly thought that he would be able to go to dinner with her? Anybody who was right in the head would have picked Cinque or Flute. But...then again, the guy had suffered a concussion from Cinque's beating in training...that was probably what had led him to call her of all people. And yet, she had found herself unconsciously calling him back, and agreeing to the offer. She was wondering now if she had somehow acquired a concussion herself...thing was she hadn't had any accident that would have led to a concussion. She was actually smart enough not to train with Cinque...especially when it came to her beating up people with a mace.
Shaking her head, she moved over to stare out of her dorm window, arms crossed. She didn't want to admit or even let anyone know, but she was getting butterflies. Yes, Sice had butterflies. Trey was her teammate and classmate. It wasn't like if this "date" thing, if it was even called that, worked out, it wasn't like she could ignore him, not that she already did, but they were both in Class Zero. Shaking her head again, and scowling down at the school grounds, she tried to focus on another subject. Cape or no cape? Because, she was sure if she even tried to dress up for this stupid fling, it would cause Trey to have another stupid heart attack, and then she would have to take him back to the nurse. And that would cause rumors to go around. And Sice did not need that.
She didn't want to go to a simple restaurant with her cape making it look like she was some sort of delinquent. With Class Zero, it was one thing. With normal people, it was another. But, then again, if she didn't wear her cape, she would end up looking like a normal student and then there was the possibility of rumors yet again...Cape it was.
Glancing up at the clock on her bed-stand, and then looking back at the time when she had received the voicemail, it seemed that the general half hour had been used up, coming up to around forty-five minutes. Now, she wasn't the biggest stickler on time, but she liked to be close to when she specified a certain amount, or a specific time. Common courtesy. And that her nerves weren't on edge if she was late.
A knock resounded against her dorm door, and she let out another sigh, muttered an "idiot" and walked over to the door, unlocking and opened it to see Trey standing there, blonde hair and all. And just to give him a hard time...
"...you're fifteen minutes late, you know."
Letting out another sigh, this one being intentional, she stepped forward, and closed her door behind her, making sure to hear the click of the lock before turning back to Trey.
"Come on...let's get this over with." ~~~ Words: 589 Muse: Good Notes: Sice sure is mean...>.>

Trey thought he counted roughly fifteen years between his knock, the sound of Sice's.....or who he hoped was Sice....footsteps reaching his ears, and the door actually opening. Give or take a year or two. Trey was pretty familiar with the word nervous, yes, but he didn't feel nervous about much of anything all that often. He didn't usually have a reason to. And he didn't think he'd felt nervous a few seconds before the knock or even while he was actually performing the knocking motion...but he started to wonder why all of his appendages were going numb and whether or not the pizza he'd eaten for lunch sporadically turned into a frisbee that his intestines were tossing back and forth inside of his stomach. He'd felt the same for a few seconds while he'd waited at the other door, but it hadn't been as bad....probably because it was the first supposed occurrence of waiting for Sice. It didn't really get any better the second time.
The door opened just as Trey had given into fidgeting with his shirt, and his head slowly scaled up to look Sice square in the face. Even if she had that somewhat icy look that had become her calling card waiting for him there, Trey decided to try breaking into a smile....which quickly turned into a cringe when she announced he was late. Very, very late. Maybe not to her, but to him.....it might as well had been the fifteen years that he'd guesstimated he'd been standing at the door. Too bad he didn't come down to this hallway as often as the resident pimps of Class Zero. Maybe then he could have remembered which side of the hallway the silver-haired female before him lived in without trail-and-error. He didn't make an excuse....that would just go over wonderfully.....but he did respond, if a bit broken-like. "It's.....my bad sense. Of direction. I think it's a problem guys have...." Then an apology. "Sorry I'm late."
While she stepped out and closed her door, he debated whether he should complement her or something. She looked nice, so it's not like it would've been dishonest.....but she usually looked nice, so was that like saying she usually didn't? Women could be strange about those kinds of things, this he knew more than anything. And Sice wasn't exactly your average woman, so that was even more to throw him off. Still, he'd probably say it to her, or anyone who he felt the need to complement, in any other situation...
But, she saved him from himself by speaking first, though the words over with made him wonder if Cinque hadn't smacked him over the head with her mace again. Trey well-knew this was an awkward situation....would be for anyone in Class Zero, most likely...but he still had to wonder if it was pity or genuine interest in dinner that made her call him back and say yes a bit earlier. When she finished with the door, he cringed again and gave her a little bit of a shrug. "If you're not.....you know, totally comfortable with something like this.....we can always get someone else to come along?" Maybe it was that he wasn't totally comfortable......though he hadn't really fully realized it yet.
But Trey had to admit, something made him hope she said no.

"It's.....my bad sense. Of direction. I think it's a problem guys have....Sorry I'm late."
Looking at Trey, as he looked back at her, she mulled that sentence around in her head. A bad sense of direction, huh? Thinking back on it now, she remembered that Trey never really came around this area, let alone actually visit her dorm, unless it was of urgency or priority. So, his "bad sense of direction" was plainly just him not knowing where he was going, and where she was. Closing her eyes, shaking her head, and letting out a sigh, she closed the door, and took a few steps forward, past him, and out into the hall a bit.
He was actually silent for a little while. She wondered if he was debating something in his mind, before dismissing the thought from her own head. Why should she care? Simple, she didn't care. Or at least, not that she would show. The damn butterflies picked up there fluttering again, and Sice did her absolute best to ignore the feeling that was growing in her stomach, and slowly making her way up into her throat. If she was able to, she would materialize scythe right there, right now, and grip it tightly, slinging it over her shoulder, and feel the coldness of the metal seep through her uniform. That would comfort her, most definitely. But, she didn't want to scare the crap out of Trey, and make him think that something was wrong, when there really wasn't.
"If you're not.....you know, totally comfortable with something like this.....we can always get someone else to come along?"
Looking at Trey for a moment, she looked down, and ran a hand through her silver bangs. Of all the damn questions in the world, he had to pick a confusing one. If she said yes, it would probably send the guy spiraling down into a depression, though that was probably an exaggeration, but still. And if she said no, he was bound to have another heart attack. Either way it was lose-lose for Sice, and she absolutely hated these odds. There had to be some sort of victory somewhere in there, but as if right now, she sure as hell couldn't find one. Crossing her arms, she looked down and off to the side, looking at a certain spot on the wall, trying to make herself look nonchalant.
"...It's fine. This is...fine...Let's just go."
She took a few steps forward, down the hall, and then stopped. Turning slightly, she looked back at Trey.
"You lead. You know where we are going...You do know, right?" ~~~ Words: 494 Muse: Awesome Notes: Nothing~

So Sice had to stand there a few seconds and think about her answer to his question. In some odd way, it made him more comfortable to know she was having to think about something he'd thought she'd been thinking about already since he was thinking about it. Or....something along those lines. It was a good sign that she didn't just shoot him down and tell him she wanted someone else to come along. Then again, she was having to think about it, so it wasn't a definite No, I'm all good, just you and me! either. Still, Trey realized the pizza frisbee had flown off somewhere and wasn't bothering him anymore.
"...It's fine."
The next word on Trey's tongue was Really?, but he managed to choke it back, managing a half-smile instead. He didn't know if it was a reluctant fine or a real, true blue one, since you could never tell anything from Sice's tone, but for right now, it was just fine for him. He had to stand there for a few seconds and decide what he should address next, giving Sice enough time to trot off a few steps and leave Trey to wonder where she was going. But, hey, he wasn't questioning a woman with a purpose!
...She asked him where they were going just when he started to follow her. Oh well, so much for that idea.
"Uh....well, did you have anywhere you really really wanted to eat?" He asked, shrugging along with the question. "You know me, I'm not picky about food..." And anyone who'd been around Class Zero for any amount of time knew that fact well. Skinny as he was, he could put down as much or more food than anyone in the Class. Of course, when it came to the school's food, you couldn't afford to be picky or you'd never eat anything. It wasn't really that bad. Just.....kind of scary-looking sometimes.
But Trey had studied the ways of taking a woman to dinner. And no, not from Jack. He knew women didn't like it when they were left to make all the decisions. So he decided to....improvise? "All things even...maybe we could try that...." Oh crap what was the name."....new place? The one with the big sign?" Since none of the other restaurants had big signs. Great work with the descriptions, Trey. He should've just let her make the decision instead of trying to play restaurant charades. "And the fountain. It has a fountain, too."
And he decided it would be a good time to stop talking and let her say something. Words - 490 Muse - Decent? I think it's more tiredness than lack of muse... Notes - It's kind of rambly, but I figure that's how Trey would be too. D:

Standing in the hallway, Sice wished dearly to herself that they would just get a move on. With each passing second, she grew more and more irritated. Trey was supposed to have all of this figured out. The place, the time, all of it. And so far, he was fifteen minutes late to her dorm room, and they hadn't even really left for the restaurant, if he even knew which eatery they were going to. It seemed he had also almost gotten cold feet, asking her the question as to whether or not she wanted to bring someone else into this equation that they called a "date." But, then it really wouldn't be a date, now would it? It would be hanging out with other students from Class Zero, just enjoying each other company's from protecting all of the other students at the Rubrum Magic Academy. She was starting to even wonder if this was worth her time. If this was even worth it to get involved. But, she wasn't known as a quitter. So, she would just have to suck it up, and go on with it. And if tonight didn't work, then that would be the end of it. But, she could at least say she had tried.
She had started walking down the hallway, finally, before coming to an epiphany, one that she had earlier. She didn't know where they were even going to have dinner. So, stopping and turning back towards Trey, who really should have been in front leading the way, not her, she asked him exactly where they were going. He answered her with hesitation. And hesitation was never a good sign with Sice. Whether it was with everyday life, or in battle. In everyday life, it could lead to awkwardness. It battle, it could lead to death. Sice didn't like either of the two.
"Uh....well, did you have anywhere you really really wanted to eat? You know me, I'm not picky about food..."
He had to be kidding. He had to be. He was asking her. Her. She had half of mind to turn on her heel, unlock her dorm room door, enter it, close it in his face, and hope dearly that there was something suitable in the refrigerator and/or the cupboards. Standing there silently, she counted to ten in her head, calming herself down before she yelled in his face and ruined everything, and sending the guy spiraling into depression. Like, she needed that on her plate with everything. She was just about to turn slightly, and lean against the wall, when he finally spoke up once again, finally getting the memo that she was losing patience, and that the men were in charge of this whole date process.
"All things even...maybe we could try that....new place? The one with the big sign?"
Now, she really let out a sigh, turned slightly, and leaned against the wall. New place? Big sign? Really? Wasn't that how people allowed their business to be seen? By way of big signs? Honestly, if he wasn't so good with a bow, Sice would be wondering how in the world Trey could be so stupid right now. But, his brain kicked in once again.
"And the fountain. It has a fountain, too."
A...fountain? Well, that really narrowed it down. And it did. Except for the fact, that Sice wasn't one for going out for a night around the town. Henceforth, she couldn't recall any restuarants that had a fountain in front of them. And even if she did, she would probably not be seen around them, considering who she was. He didn't say anything after that, probably realizing everything that he had just said, and coming to the conclusion that it would be better to just be quiet for right now. Good conclusion. Sice would need to think now. Fancy restaurants were out of the question, she didn't want Trey to become completely broke after one meal. Cafeteria was a big no, considering the fact that while they did have some good food, it wasn't the ideal place for a date. And the fact that students hung around there, trying to get some school work done even in the middle of a war. Which left...
"Look...how about we just go to a simple diner or something for right now. Nothing too pricy. Simple. But, I'm expecting you to actually know one. I know that there are plenty around here to choose from. Understood?"
Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked back at him. Not really glaring, she more or less stared at him, and not in an endearing way. More of make-up-your-mind-and-let's-go sorta way. She had hoped that this would just go smoothly, and be over with. That was starting to not be the way. Sice was just hoping she would be able to get through the rest of this without yelling at him, grabbing his uniform, or punching him in the face and storming off. One of those, or a combination. Key word: hoping.

Trey realized something as he stood there, waiting for Sice to either roll her eyes and brush him aside on the way back to her room due to his vague rambling about the restaurant. He was trying too hard. Way too hard. He could understand why. Sice was.....mature. And perhaps a bit dangerous. Not to the point that he thought she would chop of his head if this went poorly (the concussion had only made him cautious, not paranoid), but she had a way of making him, and probably most everyone else, feel like they needed to bring their best when she was around. And it was possible that Trey found that...oddly attractive. Hence this whole situation and his own darting back and forth between having no idea how to go about this, yet running his mouth constantly to try and come up with something Sice would enjoy.
He was glad he settled that in his mind. Now he just hoped the rest of him would catch up - specifically his mouth.
Of course, more of her sighing lessened his peace of mind, but she always seemed to sigh, so he didn't worry about it. He'd just been sighing at himself internally, anyway, and he didn't even have a reason to be impatient with himself. Maybe the situation felt the same from her end of the bargain? One thing the males in Class Zero had learned, plus a few of the other students in the school in their time, was that Sice and date-like arrangements never went together. She'd shot more down than Trey even knew about in her time, he figured, and he at least knew about a few of the shooting. He'd been shocked enough that she'd agreed to this to begin with, even if it had been a reluctant, sigh-filled agreement. Expecting her to suddenly switch on a charming smile and happily deal with his racing mind would be more than a little silly. But....that's probably why he'd called her in the first place. He wanted to be around someone who would be honest and avoid coddling him even with an injury.
"Look...how about we just go to a simple diner or something for right now. Nothing too pricy. Simple. But, I'm expecting you to actually know one. I know that there are plenty around here to choose from. Understood?"
Ah crap. Another chance to speak. "Yes'm." He said, with a bit of a sneaky smile. Now that was how he was supposed to answer - in the traditional Trey way. Taking a few more steps down the hallway to catch up with her progress, he racked his brain for a couple of seconds for the best bet from what he could remember Sice eating in the cafeteria, before a general idea came to mind. Then there was another couple of seconds where he wondered if he should offer her his arm as they walked along.
Definitely no. He wasn't crazy yet.
He didn't say anything else just yet as a way to save himself, just fell in and started off down the hallway, hopefully with her trailing along with him. There was a moment while he tried to decide what he should do with his hands, but he finally just let them sway at his side. Now he could see why people claimed Class Zero could be a straining responsibility sometimes. Outside of the training, a member would always be attached to his classmates in an odd way. A life-or-death way. Heck, Trey could handle that better than trying to take one of them to dinner. Specifically this one.
"So..." He just had to imagine this was any other meal he was having with any other member. He turned to glance at her. "Did you meet the new guys yet?"
There. Something decent for conversation. He was proud of himself.
Words - 682 Muse - Vonderful! Notes - Maybe during or after your post, we could time-jump to the actual place of eating and justice? If you want to, of course.

Waiting for a response from her suggestion, which probably sounded more like an order that was to be followed to Trey, she looked out one of the windows that was placed against the opposite wall. It had a bench underneath, but whether it was there for people to sit, or just a decoration since it didn't look too comfortable, Sice wasn't sure. Down on the grounds, students were milling around, as usual. There were some in groups, laughing with their friends trying to ignore the war that was infiltrating their school. Some had their faces in books, trying to study as mush as they could so that they could be either ready for the next big test, or be ready for the war. That is all it seemed to come to lately. This damn war...maybe that was why Trey asked her to dinner. So, that he, and she as well, could let their minds wander away from it for an hour or two. It made sense. That was all Class Zero seemed to think about. The war. How they were going to protect the school. If they were going to survive.
"Yes'm.
Looking over, she saw the last remains of his little smile, before it disappeared. Closing her eyes, she just mirked and shook her head. It seemed that he was starting to get the picture. Good. He took the few steps needed to catch up with her, and she walked on with him, her arms uncrossed, and swinging at her sides as she walked. It was quiet as they walked. Peaceful. Sice was starting to reconsider the idea that this was a bad idea, now that Trey seemed to finally understand. Maybe for once, she could allow her tense muscles to relax, and not worry about the fact that there could be a soldier right around the corner, a gun in his hands ready to fire and kill anyone in sight. Maybe for once, she could let her stressed mind ease up, and not worry about forming battle strategies at every possible moment, looking for whatever escape there was, and how many people she could protect. Maybe, for once, she could have a good time. Eat a good, but most likely arterie-clogging, dinner. Maybe she could let her walls down and let a smile or two. Maybe.
She knew she couldn't wish much on things like those, but she was a girl. And girls dreamed...right? Of course they did. And so did Sice. She dreamed that this war would end. She dreamed that all of this killing would stop. She dreamed that all of the pain and torment that plagued her, and most likely her fellow Class Zero members, would just vanished. But, so far, those dreams hadn't come true. So, the only thing she could do right now, as she walked down the hallways, side-by-side with Trey, was to hold her head up high, and show that she was ready to take on whoever dared to challenge her, straight on, no hesitation in her eyes.
"So...Did you meet the new guys yet?"
Taking a quick glance over at Trey, she went back to looking straight forward. She smirked. "Not yet," she said, "but I'll make sure they know who I am soon enough."

"Oh....." came as Trey's oh-so-scholarly response to Sice's comment about introducing herself to the new students. Between all these different ways the class introduced themselves, he figured Machina and Rem wouldn't have any trouble remembering people. And definitely no trouble remembering Sice. "They seem like they'll fit right in...so try to keep them in one piece. For now. Give me a week to see how rooming with Machina goes...." He gave a bit of a grin. Sice would probably like them, because they weren't Jack or Eight or insert person who probably got on her nerves here. Maybe Trey could introduce them. Ah, yes, maybe he'd bring that up while they walked the rest of the way there...
-------------------------------------------------
And he had, as well as two or three other things he actually managed to think of that may or may not have been interesting to the halberdeer (since scytheer didn't sound right....not that either one of them were words, mind you) but had managed to maintain conversation anyway. Somehow, he hadn't had any difficulty doing so, either. In fact, time passed fairly quickly, and almost before Trey knew it, they were passing in front of the place that everyone said was the best choice for this kind of....outing. Trey stopped suddenly and turned to face the place, having just finished something he was saying about....bah, who cared what he was saying, he'd already made the point anyway.
"I was thinking this was what you had in mind.." He said, eyeing his classmate to make sure she didn't seem disgusted by his choice. There was always a chance he'd gone too simple with the choice of restaurants - not that the place was the bottom of the food chain when it came to food, because nothing around here was. It just wasn't the place he'd so elegantly described as having the fountain and the big sign. Maybe it was a sign that his concussion wasn't mucking up his thoughts anymore, but when he thought about his whole description of that other restaurant, he had to chew on the inside of his cheek for a second. That Trey had been such a fool.
....No, he wasn't stalling at all. Debating again on the offer of his arm to link with again and shooting it down, he brushed a blond tuft of hair off of his face and turned once again to Sice. "...Ready?" Trey stepped towards the door first, remembering that age old rule - hold the door for the ladies. Unless they weren't fond of that kind of thing and would rather you just let them handle it. Er...that presented a problem. Yes or no, yes or no. He glanced back over his shoulder at her, slowly leaning back against the doorway and pushing it open as he did so. Alright, yes would work. If she'd rather he didn't hold any more doors, so be it, but he was holding this one for the time being. It was just the courteous thing to do, right? Right. And courteous was what Trey usually didn't mind being.
Especially on dates. Or whatever this happened to be. Words - 573 Muse - Pretty gewd! Notes - Apparently Trey uses big words and rants about when he gives advice. >> I feel weakened.

New students to Class Zero, huh? That was something you didn't hear everyday. Transfers into Class Zero couldn't just be asked for. It had to be earned. Anyone trying to get in had to show that they were capable of protecting the school and its students. Sice would have to scout out these Machina and Rem people, not only to introduce herself, but to see if they were capable of being in Class Zero and capable of obtaining her trust. Crossing her arms, she smirked. That would be interesting, to say the least.
After that, time seemed to fly by. Now that Trey had finally relaxed a bit, and they got a mutual understanding of where to go, Sice herself was able to relax as well. Her guard was still up, and her senses were still on high alert but not as much as they usually were. Trey was able to talk nonchalantly, and every now and then she was able to put in her two cents on whatever the subject was. At points, she just let him talk, while she inspected their surroundings.
They finally arrived at the location where they would have dinner, and Trey stopped. Sice followed in suit, coming up to stand next to him, lookong atthe simple restaurant. Not too elegant to the point where she felt like she had to be the picture of perfection. Not too cheap to the point where she felt like her arteries were clogging with each bite. Just right. She glanced at Trey, wondering what was taking so long. He wasn't getting cold feet now, was he? Sice rolled her eyes. With how things were going earlier, she wouldn't be surprised.
"I was thinking this is what you had in mind?" he asked her. She took another look at the place and nodded.
"This is good enough."
They set off towards the door, and still glancing down at her companion, she could see that Trey had that same look on his face that he had at her dorm room. Which meant he was trying to figure out whether or not to do something. Rolling her eyes again, she waited as he opened the door with his back, and just sort of held it open. That was what he was worrying about? Honestly...shaking her head, she walked past him. "Thanks," she said as she entered the restaurant, and waited silently for a waiter to take them to an open table.

Trey analyzed the words ‘good enough’ at least a thousand different ways after Sice had spoken them. Did she mean the words in a positive or a negative light? She could have meant, in her own Sice-like way, that his choice of restaurant was genuinely good. On the other hand, she could have easily been indicating that his choice was just barely good enough to get by and she didn’t want to make a fuss about it. There were times that Trey wished every situation, and every individual, could be read as easily as one of the school’s textbooks. Nonetheless, he decided simply to wipe the doubt from his mind, though seeing her shake her head as she walked in didn’t exactly provide much in the way of a boost for his confidence.
Trey eyed the tables around them once he’d released the door, looking for other members of the Class or other students from the school in general. In doing so, he noticed a small group of younger students in a booth on the far side of the room. As soon as one made eye contact with him, the chatter at their table started. Ah, typical. Trey disregarded them for the time being though, and as he waited for someone to point them to a table, he stayed relatively (and abnormally, for him) quiet, just clasping his hands behind his back and trying to remember if he’d actually brought anything with which he could pay. If he hadn’t already been forgetful enough this week due to his injury, this evening made him feel almost senile. Checking his pocket and reassured by the gil he found within, Trey figured, as the waiter came up and led them towards a table by the window, that he had little reason to be tense for the rest of the evening.
Trey slid into his seat once the waiter placed menus down and stepped away, flipping open the menu on his side of the table but not yet reading it. Instead, he glanced up at the sixth member of the Class, thankful he was never short on a subject to bring up. That should help keep Sice from getting bored, at least, so long as he avoided doing all of the talking himself…as he’d managed to do on the way over, at least. ”How has training been these past few days?”, he asked, unused to being absent while the rest were training. ”I’m sure no one was too disappointed to be rid of my lectures for the time being.” In a way, he supposed he reacted like anyone would in this same situation – he was almost jealous of what he could be missing while sitting idly in his room. He found most everyone’s best antics in the training room to be amusing, and he supposed there were worse things he could be jealous of.
Such as having someone else take Sice to dinner in the future, for example. Words - 541 Muse – Semi-good. Notes - Not the best post ever, that’s for sure. >>

Entering the restaurant with Trey picking up the rear, Sice took a quick look around. She figured that some of the other students would be heading out to catch a bite to eat seeing as how it was the weekend and that was usually what students did on weekend nights...well, except for her, but she could easily make this little exception. It was a simple little joint that her and Seven had come to at one point or another when neither felt like cooking or going down to the cafeteria, so Sice understood the layout of the simple family restaurant. Soon enough, her eyes rested on a table in the corner where some students from the Peristylium were seated. As soon as they caught sight of her and Trey they all started to mumble and murmur, most likely in disbelief of some sort. Sice glared in their direction, hoping that any of them would see her look and get the idea that she did not want this to get out around the school. If it did, she would find those girls and show them what happened when someone messed with Sice of Class Zero.
Finally, an employee came up to the pair and showed the classmates to their table. It was a quaint little table right next to the window. Sice nodded her affirmation, as she took her seat. It had a nice view of the outside, and luckily it wasn't the front of the eatery, so she would be able to look upon the scenery and not the hustle and bustle of the city itself. Taking the menu, and nodding her thanks to the waiter as he turned and left, she flipped it open and looked down the menu, wondering if she should get her usual, or try something new.
”How has training been these past few days?”
Looking up from her menu, Sice sat back in her seat to reply. She shrugged and said, ”Alright. I've just been working on my techniques and polishing them so that I can be ready for any confrontation.” She didn't dare bring up the war. She wasn't about to bring down the mood of the occasion by talking about one of the most depressing subjects there was nowadays. She had had enough of it. For now, she would just enjoy the time and the food.
”I’m sure no one was too disappointed to be rid of my lectures for the time being.”
”So long as you don't get on to one of your lectures here. I don't need to have my ears bleeding while I eat.”
And that was truth. She knew that Trey liked to talk, and maybe too much at some points. If she noticed that he didn't stop to take a breath at any point, she would cut him off so she wouldn't have to suffer alone. She could talk it at school where others felt her pain, but not here. As if appearing from thin air, the waiter that had seated them was back once again, asking them if they were ready to order. She looked down at her menu unconsciously before answering, ”I think I am. What about you, Trey?”

Trey released a warm smile, hearing Sice's systematic way of explaining her recent efforts in training. He doubted there was a harder worker in Class Zero than the young woman before him - she had never run the risk of lacking his respect. She was a warrior, far more than Trey himself was. It was...pretty thrilling to watch her fight sometimes. She looked like she'd been born on the battlefield, and yet...she could still seem so...womanly. Finding himself simply looking at her dreamily, Trey blinked once and let out a slight chuckle. "I wouldn't have expected any less," They all tried to make the most of training, even if at the back of their minds, they knew what they were training to prepare for. "I've missed training with you." He wondered, after he said as much, if he meant you all or Sice, specifically. Perhaps a bit of both.
He cracked a small smile. Yes, it was no secret that Sice was often the target of one of his long lectures. He couldn't quite tell anyone why...she typically screamed bloody murder when he did so. Still, she didn't get up and leave like some people or threaten to lance him to death like certain members of the class. And...well, he admittedly just enjoyed talking to her. She was not the type of person to just pull him aside and have a chat with him, so he had to find ways around that. Piling his lectures on her seemed to be the only way to do that - though now that he'd gotten this far (though he was still unable to believe she'd agreed to this outing) he would be sure to avoid driving her out of her mind with gab. "Don't worry - the food should be able to stop my mouth for while," he assured her, brushing hair back from off of his eyes.
They lapsed into a temporary silence until the waiter came up again and asked them for their orders. Trey nodded in concurrence with Sice. "Yes, I'm ready." He went ahead and ordered while his mouth was already moving, asking for simply a burger and some fries. His eyes turned to Sice as he waited to hear what she had to order, making sure to keep it in mind for a...later date. Should there be any later dates...
He quite hoped so. Words - 444 Muse – Good. Notes - Shortness. D: I wanted to hold back a bit for other things, though.

While telling Trey about her training regimen and how it was going, she glanced up and noticed a smile on his face that made her stop and made sure her eyes were seeing what they were seeing before she looked down at the menu in front of her. Why the hell a smile would make her stop for a second was beyond her reasoning. That had never happened before, so what made now so different? Sice didn't know the answer to that either. Placing her elbow on the table, and leaning her head against the palm of her head, she tried to look as nonchalant as she could as she crossed her legs and tried not to bump Trey's own, long legs. Why she did this? She herself, once again, didn't know. But, glancing up once more, she noticed him looking at her in some sort of weird way, and as she looked down she couldn't help but cock an eyebrow at his perplexing behavior. This whole time she had been wondering why he had asked her on this fling and now she was getting more and more confused.
”I wouldn't have expected any less. I've missed training with you.”
Sice was utterly shocked at that last statement, but she didn't outwardly show it. Instead she just pretended that she had heard him bu muttering a, “mmh,” and continuing on with what she thought she should get to eat. Inside, she was wondering what the hell made him say that. Luckily, her brain hadn't gone into overdrive just yet and thus was able to come up with the plausible explanation that he could have meant the whole Class Zero. Yeah, that's what he meant. She could deal with that...Yeah.
Thankfully, Trey had chosen that moment to change the subject to his seemingly never-ending lectures, and she was thankful for the distraction it gave her mind. She certainly did hope that he didn't burst right into one of his ever-famous lectures or else she was sure she would most likely put her scythe to his neck right there and then, not giving a shit to the looks she would be sure to get. But, he was able to relieve her of suck a thing by stating that the food would keep him from doing such a thing. She was certainly thankful for that. Sice was sure she wouldn't be able to take a lecture of any kind during the meal.
And then the waiter came. As she stated that she was ready, she allowed Trey to order first out of politeness that sorta came out of nowhere. As he ordered the usual burger and fries, she decided she would shoot him for a loop, and as she closed her menu and handed it to the waiter, she ordered, ”the chili cheese fries." That would certainly give the archer the shock of a lifetime.

Well, Trey certainly didn't get any confirmation about the training beyond what Sice had already stated. She simply made a sound at him and seemed more concerned about the food than what he'd said. Without anything further to say about it, Trey clasped his hands in front of him on the table and tried to think of something else to talk about, letting his eyes pull away from his classmate a moment and skim the rest of the diner. He recognized only a couple of the people here outside of the students on the far end of the room, as this was only the...second time he'd been here. Typically, if he were heading into the city for something to eat, he'd have Ace, or Cater, or King in tow more often than not...and admittedly, the chosen destination would be the larger place down the street. He had doubted Sice would be a fan of the cute waitresses there...hence coming here. This place was focused more on the food than the aesthetics, though the view out their window, Trey noticed, was fairly picturesque. His eyes eventually returned to rest on Sice, though, wondering what else he could say to her without breaking into a one-sided conversation. She certainly wasn't making any sort of chatter between them easy, but he supposed she wasn't altogether comfortable with this arrangement either, was she? Trey couldn't be all that sure, but she was Sice. She'd likely be up-front about it if she was getting cold feet.
And so Trey found himself short of something to say until the waitor arrived and saved him a bit. He nodded and let out a sound of amusement as Sice ordered chili cheese fries. ...And as the waiter took back their menus and trotted off, he was disappointed he hadn't ordered the same thing. "Good taste...", he said, with a smile. Of course he'd eaten with Sice in the cafeteria plenty of times, but...he rarely ever payed attention to what other people ate unless he believed he needed to. He was too busy talking otherwise. For some reason, he had expected her to be a light eater. Not...greasy. Then again, people thought the same thing about Trey, but admittedly he liked eating. He had to fill out his six-foot frame somehow.
Now glad that the shield of menus between them had been taken away, Trey directed his gaze solely between Sice and the table before him. He rubbed a hand over his chin for a few seconds before speaking again. He'd had to gather a little confidence to say what he was planning to say. "I'm thankful you agreed to this, Sice, but-" Trey stopped. Should he ask? Yes? No? Yes? No? Okay, yes. "-you don't usually agree to.." Don't ask, Trey. You may not want to know. "...well, this kind of arrangement. Why the sudden change of heart?" Trey braced for a chewing-out that hopefully would not come. "Were you as bored as I was?" Words - 555 Muse – Pretty good. Notes - I don't even know what this is. XD
